For fun I have tried some Nova Twins style pitch shifting with the Mooer Pitch Step. A fabulous pedal with much potential. Not a digital fan but I get bored occasionally and have a range of digital pedals for pure entertainment. Another great video. ❤
Just grabbed this one cheap for bass. Similar setup to OC-2, but obviously without the enormous cult following. Great that it's analogue. I can't wait for it to arrive to try it out
@@DMSProduktions I can confirm that this works well for the bass synth sound. Have just spent the last few hours dialing it in with my Source Audio Aftershock, they get on just fine
PITY it didn't have an octave plus! Could have got a faux 12 string vibe going! Sadly they ALL suffer from that synthy, ring mod sound when pushed to the extremes! GOOD demo Shane!
This is a interesting pedal to someone that only plays clean with zero desire for crunch, distortion, gain, overdrive. The 1 octave I found very intriguing. Did I miss you doing the 2 octave on clean?? Or is the 2 octave only applicable when playing what I never use?? I am very interested in knowing if the 2 octave even works playing clean since it wasn't addressed. Not a complaint. Just something I wish I'd heard. Or, is my lack of knowledge about Octaver pedals painfully obvious and I'm asking questions that are not applicable? Another great demo and review. Please keep them coming, Shane!!!!
The pedal sounded great. Hard to beat at the price. Due to the size of this pedal I'd guess it has to be surface mount. If you've ever built pedals from a kit you appreciate having room to work.
Interesting. I once had a Boss Octaver which I found used for about 40 bucks. It was fun but I fell for the temptation to flip it for a profit. Sold it for $130.
I have a similar Hotone octave pedal, and I always forget to experiment more with it. Mostly use it to simulate single note bass lines with my looper pedal when practicing.✌🏻🎸
i just bought one and i was wondering if what happens at 3:39 was not a problem, it happened here and i was thinking it should not happen... i didnt like this feature... i wish it was a consistent sound. blind purchase but... happens! tks for showing its "normal" because i was about to complain a refund or something... sad
Great demo. An interesting sound - I’m wondering where I might use it, and there is a spot that came to mind, as a maybe. Looking for help here -does anyone know songs that use (or feature) an octaver?
I thought about using it to have notes in a lower frequency following the lead guitar while the bassist is still taking cover for the rhythm... and later build it up to turn the effect off and have the bassist following the lead for real, making it richer with more dynamics in the lower side, since the pedal just follow it note by note and should work fine to prepare the listener for it.
May be a dumb question but...can this do an upper octave and is does the blend have an all-wet (kill-dry) capability?...I'm looking for a budget- and small-board-friendly option to make my stereo delay fire back and an octave higher and wondering if this will do it.
Not sure about the pedal but your guitar playing is alot better then whenI first started watching your videos. Its really sounding good.

@@Ren-X Cool!
Very cool demo
Good job. I am hearing Prog Rock. King Crimson, Burford drumming in 7/4.
One crucial test is missing: "Octave 1" UP and everything else DOWN to zero. You know, to see if it could 'replace' a base for simple stuff.
Great chops as always Shane. Awesome playing mate ! Nice pedal. How's the pedal noise ?
Blues On....💙
Would have been good to see how this could simulate a bass guitar by killing the whole dry signal. Did you try that?

Something different I love it! I’ve got a TC Sub n’ Up that’s similar to this!

2 octave does yes
Great reviews. Thank you!

This has to be made of surface mount components - but so are all new Boss pedals. It's getting more and more difficult to find through hole parts.
Well, it's pretty glitchy, but that's why so many still love the POG.
Perfect tracking wouldn't be half as cool in my opinion.
I know a few those!
I like it! Sometimes, not being pristine is exactly what make effects more interesting.

Is it Hot One or Ho Tone? 🤣

Anybody else notice if they tap the dry volume while the pedal is engaged that the tapping is audible through the amp.
Yup, it pops

Pretty much the lions share of disco tunes

No upper octave on this one.
@@intheblues 😔
Thanks for the info though.
Not feeling this one Shane
Does anyone else have the issue with this pedal, as shown at 3:37? Mine has the same issue 😒 it’s annoying
Is this pedal noisy? Any ground noise?
👍🏻👍🏻
