@DesertTactical the bolt carrier looks a lot like the AK. I'm curious how this puppy would do in a mud test or melt down lol. After I see how well it performs il buy it. I don't think anyone will though because it's not so cheap like other rifles😅
Thank you! Non magnified. I gave the optic on the Sabre a couple clicks down. Something I should have done before the testing but it proved to be pretty decent. Thanks for watching, bro!
Hey! Thanks, man! I usually try and keep my vids under 5minutes. Went over and some of you are still watching. Means a TON! Help a brother out and share! Next up, ammo test. 62gr, AAC, PMC and AAC black tip.
At 50 yds with my psa freedom 16" mid with magpul hanguards and fsp with pmc m855 I was able to get about 1 inch 5 shot groups just shooting prone no aid. All with a sig romeo 5
I put a Sabre 13.7 upper on a PSA Magpul MOE lower parts kit. Threw on a 1-4 optic and 45 flip up irons. Is now my favorite rifle to shoot. Absolute tack driver! In only about $700 not including the accessories I put on it.
That wind is a killer lol. Great test. I love PSA. Really happy to have gotten in as an affiliate for them. Also, just realized you are in AZ. I lived down there for a few years
It was. One of the reason I made up some shots. I’m not that big of a channel to get picked up by anyone. Doing this for the training, fun and learning experience. Good ol Az. Hot Az… lol. Thanks for watching!
@@DesertTactical I’m definitely a believer that you don’t need to spend a ton of money to get a product that you can trust to last a long time and get the job done. PSA has it all and I like seeing the comparison with different models. I’ve had my 16” PSA rifle at the range next to guys with guns at 3x the cost and it performed just as well.
@@360TacticalSolutions Agreed. I like PSA’s products, their service and like em as a Company. Pretty cool ppl. Don’t know anyone personally but I do know first hand that they actually listen to their customers.
Yeah. The sabre did very well. I give it a few clicks down after and was on the money. Should have done that before the video. Lol. Either way, the grouping was decent. The Jakl did ok as well… the standard AR did ok. In all fairness, it was the windiest when I shot the Standard AR… might have been me or a combo of both but I think it did ok…
Both my PSA 16" and my Jakl 13.7" hate AAC 55gr. 2-4 MOA groups with it. Even my 18" Aero spr build didn't care for it. AAC's 77gr otm rounds performed much better. 1-2 MOA in all the rifles.
Sorry, no misfires. Just bad groups. Sometimes fliers just all over the place. PMC X-tac seemed to work much better as a 55gr range for all my PSAs. About 2 MOA @ 100 yd.
I can get my regular psa 16" (5.56, 1/7 twist, 416R "freedom" barrel) close to 1 MOA with some good match ammo. They're more accurate barrels than people give them credit for.
Thanks for the video and info. Generally you want to stay away from red dots when doing serious accuracy tests as the dot is usually 2-3 MOA which makes for a larger spread. I would love to see some serious accuracy tests on the Jakl with a reliable, accurate ammo and a good zoomed reticle scope. Someone else is reporting 2.5-3" MOA with run of the mill FMJ which almost puts it in surplus AK accuracy. For me, that's not accurate enough for the price point or the platform.
Never heard of make-up shots to make something appear more accurate than it actually is..lol. The Jakyl and Sabre seemed to have comparable original true groups. The worst being the standard PSA rifle. Which 100% makes sense. For most rack AR's, 3-4" MOA groups is actually pretty common. I could hardly hear you, but is that AAC ammo match? Or basic range ball ammo? I've been interested in trying some. Good video.
I made up the shots because I wanted em all on the 3” target for the sake of the video. Not scientific or an in depth test. Just trying things out. The Jakl and sabre did ok. I gave the sabre a couple clicks down. Something I should have done prior to the video but still got a decent group. I used AAC 55gr FMJ’s. Next test I want to do an accuracy test on ammo. PMC, AAC, M855 and ACC black tip. Thanks for stopping by. Really appreciate you watching my sub par videos.

@@Rayvisin Keep in mind it was only at 50yds. With a non magnified optic. Using 55gr Ammo. At longer distances using 62gr, 70gr and even 75gr, Im sure the results would be drastically different
I like the concept but you really need a magnified scope to do accuracy testing. Even good irons can be more repeatable than a 2 or 3 MOA dot at 50 yards.
Nice range! It's great to hear your thoughts as you shoot, have you considered a mic so you don't have to turn to the camera? All really good shots esp on the Jakl and Sabre, I like you doing the makeup shots. Good idea.
Thanks! I actually have a few mics. I used one on this video just take it off when I fire. I think the gunfire over-condenses the mic. I ordered a new one today. It should be a lot better. Thanks for the positive vibes!
Absolutely. On top of that, aside from the trash talk, PSA has good customer service. I have a feeling a “gen2” jakl will be out soon. There are some very minor things that can be changed on the jakl that would make it an even better platform. However its pretty good as it sits. Go for it, youll love it.
Always fun burning powder. Accuracy with a dot scope is questionable mostly but still plenty good enough for two and even four legged creatures. My old 2moa dot scope works great on coyotes and even head shots on wild pigs. I do have a 20” barrel on one old Stag Arms and it’s a tack driver . Gotta love the ar platform.
Not bad. I think you had a lot going against you. Between the plastic table, the wind, and using a red dot, I'd say you shot well. Get more stable and utilize some type of glass, and those groups will drastically shrink. Good shooting brother.
Thank you. The shots werent terribly hard to make with an unmagnified optic at 50yds but still think I did ok. What do you mean use some type of glass?
@DesertTactical magnified optic. I have a Vortex Viper 4-16 that I use strictly for testing. Typically, when I do accuracy testing, I use a magnified optic, and I'll use 1" pasties at 100 yards. I like making my POA as small as possible. Then, I use either a bipod or shooting bag with a rear bag to get as stable as possible without using an actual shooting rig, like a lead sled.
@DesertTactical yeah. It probably would've screwed you up a bit. With red dots, magnifiers will increase the size of the dot. Only optic it doesn't affect is true holographic sights like an eotech.
How did the build feel for all three in terms of reliability? Looking to get my first AR and wondering if the price of the Jakl is worth it. Really want something that I know will go BANG when I need it to😅
First off, the Jakl is not really and AR… but its not an AK either. If its your first rifle and dont wanna spend a lot of moolah, I always recommend a PSA standard AR15 or a Radical Firearms AR15. Radical Firearms often come with upgraded furniture from factory. Yes, I have both a PSA and a RF and both have been real good. Get you one of them AR15’s. If you need any help, just hit me up here or IG!
Send me them funds. I’ll buy match grade ammo and try it again. I mean if someone is rockin a PSA, chances are they are not using match grade ammo but instead some basic range stuff like 55gr ball ammo. Which is the “cheapest” to shoot. The whole purpose of the video. You kind of missed the point. Now, if I was testing plinking ammo out of a Noveske, Larue and a Daniel Defense, theeeen your observation totally applies. :)
