Malaysia under the governance newly elected PH is off to a GOOD start! The citizens hv been VERY brave to vote for a new change in govt, n they r full of hope n confidence that the PH new govt will institute significant positive improvements, leading to MAKING Malaysia GREAT!! again!
However, a longer term WORRY for Malaysians about the economic n financial stability of this nation is that a short jail term/incarceration for former prime minister Najib Razak for committing CBT; his misdeeds in misusing the nation's monies; his money-laundering activities; his part in the 1MDB scandal; n other oncoming charges, WILL encourage Malaysian youths/future leaders to be courageous to commit SIMILAR fraud n misdeeds in governance, n without guilty conscience, since it is VERY lucrative to enrich oneself by the RMBillions!! n having to spend say, 10 or 15 years in jail as punishment, n with abit of good luck, maybe get out EARLIER for good behaviour!

From the 80s, the government staff had such an easy life, that citizens found so difficult to get services. We have accepted that nothing could be done to improve service. Then corruption came to play to 'motivate' government staffs to do the job more efficiently. Najib may have given money, but generations of corrupt society that has become an essential part of malaysians was actually deviced long time ago. I did not say it was intentional. But everyone is equally to be blamed for this. I strongly believe najib did not start this. He just took the entire blame for working in this 'system'.

Many people with ulterior motives have grossly underestimated the vigor and brilliance of Tun M. Just look at his track record during the Asian Financial Crisis in 1997. Many parties including the IMF call him an economic pariah for not taking a bail-out loan from IMF. But his own solution was the saviour for Malaysia. Just give him time and we'll see what he can do to pull Malaysia out of the financial crisis created by the corrupt and kleptocratic PM.
The world stood in awe watching a 93 yo man defeated a 64 yo descendant of one of the country's PM. Changing of the 60 yr government with a bloodless and democratic process of election without foreign interference is exemplary. Even developed nations should learn from him. In fact, the world should heap praises on him and the country rather than express baseless and pre-mature opinion
