Chris is a standup dude. He has raised millions and millions of dollars for charity (including some of my charities). Last weekend at 6am he was loading a box truck with toys for angel tree kids. He may be a bit energetic and jittery, but it’s intimidating when that little camera is in your face. On top his charitable giving, he’s manages a multiple states worth of liquor stores for Kroger and does a ton of bourbon education in the community. 23:59
As someone that’s in corporate sales, I appreciate Chris’ energy. He’s the buyer for the product he’s showing off and he’s proud of it; I share that same energy when I speak about my product. Not sure he’s on uppers like others have suggested (lol), but you need to have some energy when you’re in sales that’s for sure
Retail buyers like Chris need to have a lot of energy like that. Bottom line they are salespeople under a lot of pressure to make good picks that people want to buy
If you watch the first part of this video in 2x speed, “Chris”, from “Chris’s picks, he reminds me of Jessie Pickman hopped out on Meth trying to over sell whiskey 😂. All jokes aside, another solid video Brewzle, keep up the work!

So that Salute to service bottle that you were looking at is from the Heritage Distillery our of Gig Harbor Washington. The main Distillery is in Eugne Oregon. They are the largest craft distillery in the pacific northwest. Veteran owned and operated. Justin and Jennifer are the Co-Founders as well as the President and CEO of the company. That bottle she was showing you was the Army special forces edition. Great bottle and wonderful people and distillery.
Fresh Bourbon is solid and absolutely different from other blends…it’s a unique mash bill and their higher proof can only be obtained at their distillery in Lexington. It’s produced old prohibition style and retains a lot of flavor. Solid in my book, different taste, long lingering on the pallet.
I haven't drunk bourbon for years (and it was always Jack Daniel's), but I was in a pub in London last night and the barman recommended a Four Roses small batch bottle. I sipped it in your honour and it was delicious.
Being in the heart of bourbon.. i think i shall build up a better selection of bottles to select from. Kentucky Rocks! 😂🎉 got to get my bottle game up!
Even though it’s sourced and a blend, you should grab a bottle of the 4 branches. I saw it on the shelf at the seven store, but I thought it was actually pretty darn good.
I like Kroger Chris. He is a real corporate retail guy. They tend to be very energetic and always selling. But good guys. People are being too harsh on Chris.
Liquor store by me that doesnt rais prices past the MSRP put a bar in that has incredible prices every day. $10 for an ounce of weller 12 and 107 and $16 for the rest of the lineup. Incredible. They also have a Weller 12 from 2012 that is $7 and ounce. Lundeens liquor in sycamore il
Square 6 was Evan Williams distillery's only bottle, IIRC. I had it back in February 2022, and it was extremely good. It's the pour that kicked-started my bourbon journey.
This is like the one bite review of brewzle where the vid is full of unexpected weird wacky characters. White linen shirt and Chris bring the kooky energy!
At least for awhile 😆. It's incredible though, and I was able to save a ton on backups. Ugly labels, and lack of transparency, doesn't help. You can't even know for sure where it's from! Total Wine is convinced it's from Canada, but other sources are sure it's MGP. I suppose it's probably Canadian at this point, but holy cow is it incredible. Sublime. A different level.
TJ, Square 6 is distilled and aged at the Evan Williams bourbon experience in Downtown Louisville. I bought a bottle when I was in KY over Thanksgiving. Supposed to be a KY only bourbon. Tasting I had at the gift shop was solid. Haven’t cracked the new bottle yet, but looking forward to it as I love Larceny Barrell proof.
Man some of this has to be rage bait. For someone who has a barrel of everything “on the way.” You dont know what square 6 is? They make 6 barrels a day at the evan williams experience (not the distillery.) Its their take on Craft Whiskey which is funny because theyre a huge distillery lmao
I have a Bardstown 6yr SB TW store pick Rickhouse B floor 5 125.8 proof Corn 60% Rye 36% Malt 4% and its one of my fav bottles right now and Im nursing it.
That Rogue Dead Guy is from the beer people, Dead Guy Pale Ale, etc. it’s actually good. I have a friend who loves the beer and is a very serious Bourbon guy and he’s drank at least 2 bottles of it. I bought it for him in KY and NC.
Just discovered my local holiday market here in Redding California has an allocated whiskey room, everything msrp. Eagle rare, Blantons, eh Taylor small batch and single barrel, Russel’s 15, midwinters night, all stocked. Felt like a kid in a candy store, held myself back to just a blantons and eagle rare out the door for 108. Cheers 🤙🏻
If memory serves, the first Hard Truth bottle you had picked up was Sipes, and I’m fairly certain that was sourced product. The Kroger pick you grabbed should be fantastic if it’s anything like the Kroger pick I nabbed from them in Indiana. 👍
If you find yourself anywhere near northern illinois you need to check out rockton food and liquor. The owner has been doing a lot of solid store picks and has the nest selection around here
Square 6 is made in their experimental line in Louisville. They do a wheated, rye, and high rye mash bills. I have the high rye and it tastes like buttered corn bread!!!
I’ve said several times you should try that down home it’s by whiskey thieving co and the orange one is amazing but I think they are mgp also in Frankfort
I have some old bourbons I have been trying to find a little information and value of them. Both was bottling 1978 and has never been opened in special decanter. Jim beam and a Hoffman distilleries.
I’m crying from laughing so hard while reading these comments. This was the first stop of the video maybe Chris is a double espresso kinda guy. He’s definitely wired.
You can spent whatever you want in my town. We have or had everything Buffalo Trace if that’s what you’re looking for. By the way Kroger does better picks than any other places I’ve tried. Dang Laphroaig Lore. I’d snagged that up quick.
Hey Brewzle, I know you really like the Weller Antique 107 been trying to get it. Trying to found it on-line to buy it if I can't pick it up in stores.
I have been waiting for you to come across a fresh and I was sad to see it wasn't picked up. Chocolate cherry bomb only available in KY, so unique in a good way.

Watching CocaChris smash bottles recklessly back in the cases was almost stressful enough to turn the video off. Lol
Kroger Chris definitely had a plate of nose nachos before rolling in to work 😭
lol…I’ve never heard about “nose nachos”…..but I definitely got the “used” car salesman vibe!
I just came here to say the same thing but we call it nose beers
Jaw swinging all over the place

I was coming to the comments to see if anyone else was picking up on that.
Glad I wasn’t alone in noticing that immediately

Kroger Chris is running on another level, interesting character that one.
😂 i was thinking the same
Had a friend like this. Good guy but always acting sketchy.
That dude was grinding hard lol

Booger sugar 😂
Looks like he does his job fine on it lol
Yeyo Chris aka The Vacuum Cleaner
I'm so tickled to see all the comments about Chris being off that coke! I had the same thought when he didn't blink the whole time lol

Definitely checkered pass or present

I am now realizing that Kroger Chris set the tone of this hunt, I am for it.
Poor Chris is about to lose his job or get some work mandated Rehab if any of his coworkers watch this video or Read the comments.
Chris jaw going back and forth 👀
Another great hunt and video @Brewzle. Chris is definitely very proud of his picks...
He is a clown. Should have edited that part out. I just about clicked off just because of him.
He’s on coke
Chris needs to go away
I came to the comments to mention Chris but the amount of Chris comments that I seen is hilarious 😂 no need for it now
@@kevincarrillo6039 Your comment still counts as a Chris comment, or as he’s known by nowadays “Kroger Chris” 👍🏻
Chris must’ve drunk one too many of his picks.

Chris is fantastic. I love being around people who enjoy what they do and are good at it!
For the price per pour at Evergreen. I think that might have been the end of my day. I would have had to have 6-8 pours. 😮
Same. Even at regular price they weren't that bad. At half? Never going to see that again.
Don’t forget to be responsible…..call for an uber…..
That Chris energy isn't for everyone, but I can definitely appreciate the passion. 😂
Around 35 minutes I saw some bottles of laphroaig. Love those.
$300+ may be the most expensive bottle we have seen TJ buy on camera. My Jaw dropped when he said he was getting it.
He’s bought several more expensive

Why is the ceiling at Kroger so high? Otherwise Chris would hurt himself bouncing around and juggling whiskey bottles.
Just bought my first Frey Ranch uncut, Blue Run trifecta, and Michter's single barrel straight rye! Merry Xmas drinkers! -DirtySouthDistiller
Wow Chris has an amazing job! Would love to be a buyer for a large chain like that.
