    Hi Steven,
Love “Total Recall” a top 5 Arnie movie for me, the build up & wait for this one when released was a highly anticipated movie for me when it came out.
Great action, classic quotes, the vision of the planet I liked & a fine soundtrack, one of Arnie’s best & like you said peak Arnold 😎

Hi mate, I’ve seen this film far to many times, it’s so much fun and very quotable. The practical effects are so much better than CGI. Nice one mate, take care👍😃👍

Seen it in the cinema when first out. It was huge! Cost a fortune to make and was controversial due to the amount of violence. It's a great movie with some amazing effects by Rob Bottin, who did The Thing. Watch this with The Running Man and you'll have your sci-fi senses tingled :) "Two weeks!"

Arnolds best movie I feel. Yes, I like it better than TERMINATOR. some great lines. Also, with the twist that happens, makes you wonder if Verhoven and company were not making some fun of Arnold, and Arnold did not kinow it.

This movie is one of my favourite top 10 movies. It has everything: Complete Hyper-violent 1980's (released 1990), great special effect, plot twists, well designed, little pieces all over the place that could make this a Dream (I think it is). IT has Prostitutes with a hard of gold, Super bad guys (and they shoot poorly) and the Good guys: 1 Shot 1 Kill!! And the News reports: "and Protests were put down with minimal force" (machine-gunning all rebels).
Get yourself to Mars! Get yourself to Mars! And take the Pill!!
(the remake in 2012 is just awful.. totally misses the point and does not make any sense).

Awesome review Steven 😀🍿🎸🎶 One of Arnie’s best here and such a fun film and love the Mars setting in this; the futuristic vibrancy; just an excellent well crafted film that still stands the test of time 👌

Yes, Arnold's acting couldn't really carry the scenes on Mars where he has to develop the ambiguous character, but never mind I suppose, more of a crash bang wallop spectacular than a drama to be taken seriously. Apparently Sharon Stone spent months doing martial arts training for the film. I think she's the acting highlight of this film.

"GEET YER ASSH TO MASSSH!" 🤣
This was SO much better than the dang remake, which removed EVERYTHING that made the original worth watching. Say what you will about Paul Verhoeven - he DOES have a touch for these kinds of films. I really enjoyed the original movie - I think it's one of Schwarzenegger's best; it plays to his strengths as an actor and even gives him some good comedy moments. I hated the remake, which doesn't even take place on Mars! And Colin Ferrell is no Arnold.
Oh, and by the way, the movie wants us all to believe that everything that happens was just a psychotic fantasy, but the fact that it's AAAh-nowld means that such an ending would be SO unsatisfying. It's real. It happened.
Fun fact: The novelization was done by Piers Anthony, who added a lot to the background of the plot. Admittedly, it probably wasn't necessary, but let's call it more evidence that all this really happened.

What happened to Verhoeven after Showgirls? We don't seem to hear much about him any more.

@@benkasminbullock I wish I knew. He did Starship Troopers, which I didn't much care for, and I can't even tell you what he's done since.
