Leonard Bernstein was once asked what his favorite Mozart concerto was. He replied something to the effect ''it all depends on which one I am currently playing!''
Amadeus fascinates and intrigues at the same time, there seems to be a mystic meaning behind his music, an esoteric message that can be decoded by the elect to which I do not.belong

How come Mr. Einstein is not surprised (among other things) by the theme in 03:00, absent in the orchestral introduction but prominent in the "development" section, and repeated in 07:39, and lastly, hinted by one of the horns in the coda, or by 06:23, nor by the pseudo-modulation beginning at 07:55 and ending in the same key at 08:25? Did he become so accustomed to Mozart's virtuosity of formal design that he takes the magic for granted.
A magnificent performance of this superb concerto. A pity I can't be so complimentary about the painting - is the Scala Regia REALLY that distorted? No wonder those poor wretches appear to be suffering severe vertigo at the balustrade. I think I'll join them.
It's meant to be a little slower, we play everything faster now compared to how music was played in the 17-18-19th centuries. But even saying that I don't hear virtuosity in this particular piece, it sounds very warm and uplifting to me.
@@rjg728 Shure.Otherwise i would not listen to him. Mozarts music is very simple. Not all. There are great pieces from him.But you cannot compare him with Bach.
The Wonderfulness of Mozart’s Piano music is captivating and intriguing and exhilarating
The more i listen to this Mozart PC, the more i adore it. RIP, Great Master.
Not for everyone. .... .....Thank for sharing a pure gem. Unforgettable Geza Anda.
Has to be one of my favourite Mozart concertos. However, I have so many favourites with this amazing composer I am overwhelmed by choice.
Me too I love 9 11 16 19 20 23 24 26 20 my all time favorite 3rd mvt is total heavy metal
Numbers 21 and 27 are also fabulous.

I'd pick 14 and 17.
Difficult to give the melancolic atmosphere in Andante. I think Anda has got it.
this will always be my favorite interpretation of this concerto
Great performance by Géza Anda, a really strong Mozart's interpreter.
Ah ! Mozart !
indeed very true : all the mozart criticism seem to take magic for granted. Such a melodic perfection
The ending...Mozart ended the concerto very sweetly. I love it.
Charming, reinvigorating. Thank you.
Thank you...!!!! Thank you!!!

The 2nd movement of this concerto is indeed an esoteric message. Great observation, very few will understand.
A joy to listen to!
Love, love this one. Thank you for uploading it.
just imagine myself dancing and skipping thru flower-filled meadows and golden forest glades listening to this one
Beautifully played. Thank you. 👏👏👏👏💕💕💕
thanks for uploading :) marvellous concerto

wonderful music
The setting of the music fits well with the time of Amadeus, of palaces and salons of the aristocrats
I think the second movement inspired beethoves 7th symphony second movement. The main themes are similar

Eli Guy ask him
I think he was a little more worried on theory of relativity at the time. Duh!

As someone else pointed in the comments, this is the staircase in the Palace of Caprarola also known as Villa Farnese.

Time is not always constant, when Oboes start their solo with thirds, Anda accelerates - why ? Trill at end of cadenza is too short.
A bit too virtous performance for my taste.

Bach is much deeper.

I think I'm the only one that can hear the similarity to this and Beethovens 7th symphony second movement
