at the end of the day its HER life. I don't get why everyone is so butthurt over her major lol. get a life instead of hating on people for following their dreams
For everyone in the comments saying her major is useless it's not. If you had the respect to at least watch one of her videos she was published author in high school which not even half of the people hate commenting can do, her book has a 5/5 on goodreads I'm not here to praise her book. But you don't need to major in something like neuroscience or biology or Physics to be successful in fact to be successful it takes passion and she has that which is why she chose to pursue something that she loves because she chose to make her self happy not slaving away to major in something to make her subscribers happy. everyone has different passions which is not always going to be what you want. She can still go med school or law school If she wants too. But since she's doing what she loves she has a better chance to continue to become better at it which can probably get her more famous or get her more money so she can continue doing what she loves. Overall I never meet Sienna but she seems like an amazing, sweet person. And for all high school and college students pick your major for you the salary should not be a big factor I mean sure it's a plus but you only have one life and use it to choose and pursue what you love and what your most passionate about wheter that be dance, history, gender studies or biology. And her passion is probably one of a lot of reasons Harvard chose to accept her. I hope everyone is staying safe during this quarantine ❤

*i consider myself a feminist (please don’t attack me i’m not looking for that) however i wouldn’t go to HARVARD for a gender studies degree... i’m not one to bash decisions but i would’ve personally chosen another major and minored in gender studies.*
This is what she what she wants to study, it is rude to criticize someone for what they study because that is what she is devoting her time and career towards. Be a better person, and have respect.
It's much much easier to get through so a lot of people go 'just' for the Harvard lifestyle, status and socialization. Naive 'elle wood' type girls like her are usually on majors like this one, wich they don't necessarily use in the end (mostly because they never intented to anyway) but it pays off in many other ways since they are now part of the 'circle', and if you're not the most 'academically inclined' of beings, the contacts you get on these places can get you through life much easier than any other place honestly.
Michellexbeauty there’s nothing wrong with being feminist, it is in fact wrong to be a feminist who’s goal has been distorted into making women higher than men.
It has been increasingly interesting to me when people talk about getting into Harvard and Ivy League schools. The privilege that surrounds these top candidates, the ability to attend private schools, private tutoring and immense amount of mentorship. I think the playing field is not equal for all participants. Its unequal territory and I'm not hating just pointing out facts.
I think it is really funny that both the Harvard and Yale students said their school didn't have much school spirit except for Yale vs Harvard ahha. Like their answers were almost identical.
Good interview. I'm not understanding some of the comments on it, though. People are honestly surprised that she isn't in STEM or other at a _liberal arts_ school? She seems happy and confident, and her answers seemed genuine. Nothing wrong with that!
most people in this comment section have clearly NEVER watched her videos. she is a writer, worked her ass off, and was published multiple times. maybe her background helped, but don’t discredit her on her work. plus, google what jobs you can get with a gender studies degree, it is not useless. on top of that, it is HER life and HER career. now, stop being assholes on the internet. :)

I think with that she meant that she isn't as academically interested or competitive as other Harvard students. Which is a bad thing. So she probably fits into the Harvard culture but doesn't match the other students in devotion.
Elisabeth I don’t buy it. She’s in an investment club. She’s not different than any of them seems driven by the typical capitalist desire to make economic gains. Just because she has the luxury to not be “academically” interested in her edu and spends her time in sororities doesn’t mean she is any different.
@@madison9757 I personally don't see that as a bad thing but you do you, i guess
Elisabeth ya i do. people who work for nothing and prance around their ivy league thinking they are somehow different can rot
@@elisabeth4912 Yeah, apparently wanting to make money is a bad thing. Today I learned...
You’re all so mean and jealous. She’s a nice girl, and didn’t say anything in this video to make y’all hate her. Maybe she’s living a very wealthy and not relatable life, but that doesn’t mean her experience is not valid. You all sound super elitist as well acting like gender studies isn’t a worthy major or so. Don’t be such hypocrites.
can we please take a moment and appreciate how warm and friendly the interviewer is !
she's the best of the 73Qz -no joke
This was so great! Would you do 73 questions with a Yale student?
youtube_beauty4 thank you so much!! And absolutely!!😊 I’m doing one at every Ivy League :)
@@Domonique_Cynthia YAY! You are awesome! Keep making great videos like this! I can't believe you replied to me AHHH!! Best Day EvER!!
youtube_beauty4 yes ma’am! I will💛💛
Domonique Cynthia Pls do at Brown University!!
Domonique Cynthia can u do hbcu’s ?!?
It bothers me that she lives in Hawaii and doesn’t even pronounce it right.
Sarah W just wondering but what’s the right pronunciation?
Feggsy the Gumel It’s pronounce “Hu wuh ee”
Yes sis same I commented before I saw your comment. #808yessah
It pronounces Hah- vah. Come on guys she's a California girl not a Bostonian..Hey buddy where's my cah?..she also said she is now living in one of the islands of Hawaii.. Get it!!
Someone get this TH-camr a job at Vogue!!
Wish i could be at Harvard too!!
I go to a community college near Harvard
shantanu jain She’s majoring in gender studies. 😂 You’ll make more than her while saving 150k.
@@David-xy4br oh thanks for telling that!😁😂
I am majoring in computer science tho.
June Zapitron not everybody thinks only about money lol
@@reginaherrera1696 she's not saying about making more money.
She probably wants to say that she may face financial problems after graduating as there's very low scope for gender studies grads.
David 4949 not really gender studies can actually be very good for many jobs. If you take community college jobs won’t wanna always hire you because the education just isn’t the same
Awesome job Dom!! Thanks Sienna for sharing your time in answering those 70+ questions.
Omg it’s sienna 🥺she’s so beautiful love her :(
there’s absolutely nothing wrong with majoring in gender studies at an elite university. i know it doesn’t lead to the most well-paid job out there, but not all people’s main goal is to solely make money and live happily ever after
What? You do know Harvard is expensive as fuck? So you encourage parents to pay so much tuition just for the kids to what?
@@deusexmachina9776 dude it’s her not you. If your that bothered by somebody else then that’s pathetic as hell.
@@I_lik_cookies787 this kind of mentality is why a lot of graduates are in dept for useless degrees. But yeah act like student loans are ot existant.

Hello,
After all this coronavirus outbreak is done. I was wondering if would be cool if you interview deaf school like New Mexico school for the school. I am a deaf student who will be junior this fall also I am currently go to New Mexico School for the Deaf. So the people will become more aware of the deaf culture and what is it like to go to a deaf school. I would LOVE to get an interview with you and it will be an awesome experience for me and others.
Thank you,
Sophia Martinez
Русская x shut up
Русская x wdym, why
when she said hang out in the steps during the warmer months I thought Gossip Girl 🤦🏻♀️ elitist for sure
Sera Kim my city’s community college has similar steps and can find students hanging out there like that ...
Sera Kim Lol yea assume shit about her bc she sits on steps
Love that show
Elitist for sitting on steps?
Lmao so did I
at the end of the day its HER life. I don't get why everyone is so butthurt over her major lol. get a life instead of hating on people for following their dreams
I love how honest this girl is & loved the interview 🙌🏻😊
ITS SIENNA OMG I LOVE WATCHING HER VIDEOS!
please do Arpi Park at stanford next!!!
YESV
YEESSS
YESSSS
Yes!!
That's one I'd watch
OMG ITS SIENNA NO WAY
i love the way she carries herself, so graceful!!
“Explore Boston... especially in the... Northern Side..” you can definitely tell she didn’t grow up here 😂
Why is everybody so salty and nitpicky in the comments section geez
It was actually during summer so she wouldn't be at Harvard anyways
wow I LOVE this!!!
I like the advice she gave at the end. She seems very kind and genuine.
She was in Thoraya's video too, the one where she asks them to call their crush!!!
I was interested until she said her ride or die is her “spirit animal”
Montana Fontana Why?
Bianka Bodon Probably because she was talking about a human being?
Bianka Bodon well she’s white...
isn’t saying something/someone your spirit animal offensive to native americans?
Woah, almost like she spoke of a humming bird...
"73 questions with a yale student" is my favourite one.
Wait isn't she the one who called her crush on thoraya's channel
Rouba . Yes and she has a TH-cam channel
Omg yes! I knew she looked familiar

Gender and sexualities studies is something I have genuinely considered, I am so glad to see someone who is actually doing it. So fascinating, what a phenomenal lady and video :)
It's one of my majors so if you have any q's lmk (even though I'm in Canada so it might be different).
Wouldn’t recommend if you don’t graduate from a top school, like Harvard. Also wouldn’t recommend it if your family doesn’t have money and you need to work to make a living.
*i consider myself a feminist (please don’t attack me i’m not looking for that) however i wouldn’t go to HARVARD for a gender studies degree... i’m not one to bash decisions but i would’ve personally chosen another major and minored in gender studies.*
tbh she should've reversed her major and minor. she should major in psychology and minor in women's studies but thats just my opinion
what work options are there after studying?
Michellexbeauty there’s nothing wrong with being feminist, it is in fact wrong to be a feminist who’s goal has been distorted into making women higher than men.
omg loved this
Hannah Likes Science THANK YOU!❤️ I was actually going to message you on Instagram!! Would you like to be the star of the Dartmouth version!!?:)
Domonique Cynthia I would love to 🤩🤩 send that ig dm when you wanna talk more about it!

I knew I recognized her! She is in the “Harvard Students Call Their Crush” video!
I only scrolled through the comments only to find this comment 😁
lol I was a visiting student there in the spring. This woman spoke no lies. I've never seen so many goose jackets in my life.
0:39 "why NO!" Someone help I can't stop laughing hurts😭😭💀💀
It has been increasingly interesting to me when people talk about getting into Harvard and Ivy League schools. The privilege that surrounds these top candidates, the ability to attend private schools, private tutoring and immense amount of mentorship. I think the playing field is not equal for all participants. Its unequal territory and I'm not hating just pointing out facts.
No shit Sherlock
I think one of the questions for this ivy series should be "Are you a legacy?"
Nina Turk Yeah...it’s a valid question, but I doubt they’d be comfortable to answer.
When she said which song relates to your life a college I was waiting for her to say the Legally Blonde Soundtrack
Far better than Vogue. Great channel! Expecting you to hit a 100K soon ;)
Love her outfit! And love her very honest answer in the beginning. Love the integrity
Awesome vid Dom...can’t wait for the rest of the ivys 👌🏾
OMG!!
She’s one of my favorite TH-camr!!!
I think it is really funny that both the Harvard and Yale students said their school didn't have much school spirit except for Yale vs Harvard ahha. Like their answers were almost identical.
Everyone talking about her Gender Studies major but ignoring the fact that she’s double majoring with Psychology which is a decent job to get.
First off, I love Sienna Santer
Imagine getting into Harvard COULD NEVER BE ME. Congrats 🥳🥳
That was fun! Nicely done :)
"Because you never know if you'll get in or not" oh really? smh
I legit thought this was the real 73 Questions. But Vogue should include a 73 Questions with normal people as well
Good interview.
This needs to hit a million!!!!!
I watched one of her videos about her school routine, and she had so much time in her hands
honestly...
🤣
I love her channel. She is great and her work always motivates me
Who else knows her from the “Harvard students ask out their crush” video? Anyone?
I never comment on videos but this was REALLY good, I loved the idea and the honesty💕 also, she looks so smart and caring and pretty
8:42 and I just realized this isn’t actually vouge
Upon seeing the thumbnail i was immediately thinking legally blonde lmao 🤣
How many hours do you study a day?
