    I just love how in all these speaker mounting videos everyone lives in a house with super easily drillable walls. I live in a 110 yr old building with drywall.....

      those plastic anchors work great in plaster

      This is better and more secure than those plaster walls ... Drywall is the best to secure the6se kind of stuff

      @@Anhidema - Drywall isn't the best way for anything. My 120 year old house has solid bricks that would hold a Nautilus speaker on proper brackets. A drywall can't compete.

    Do not tighten down your screw(s) all the way until all you have all screws started. If you screw down tight, you may need to goback to losen the screw to allow you to adjust the bucket accordingly.

    It's good that in this case it's possible without having to bore holes in the speaker cabinet but I
    still prefer the bracket with screw keyholes. Or better still another option is to put them on a
    shelf if possible.

    So, I have a R1280T that doesnt have any holes or mounting brackets at the back, is it bad if I drill holes in it myself?

    what about the wires of the speaker??

    • @captainfallsalotatppic2508
      @captainfallsalotatppic2508 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Well, as far as the wires are concerned? I wouldn't worry about wires until the speakers are secure on their wall mount. The speakers are mounted to the speaker mounts are mounted to the wall. The next thing, wires; on the arm (holding the speaker plate) towards the wall is a hole that you can use for the wire. Depending on the wire you'll use you may not be able to utilize the hole if you use wires with jacks. If you put jacks on the wires yourself, feed the wire through the hole then you can strip the wire, add your bananas or rca or whatever jack you're using if any.

    Fear not the speaker falling down but the washers breaking loose ... And come out from the wall. If it's drywall, sure , but not on the American plaster walls ... It's a disaster

      I have a different companies' version of these mounts with plaster walls. With a screw with wall anchor kit bought from Home Depot, holds up to 60+ pounds each, I have attached even large speakers with no issues at all. You MUST use anchors (or toggle bolts would be better) and I just use the included 5/16th drill bit to make the hole for the anchors.
