I just applied for State disability since my employer did not accommodate me and instead of offering me remote work from home they said they have 1 position but it’s a bit far for me still. They don’t know my disability is pending and I will inform them they did not accommodate me for several months. They even said I had an “unauthorized absence”. I believe if I tried to go back they would have found anything to fire me. Fortunately I am still getting chiropractor treatment but this is dragged too long almost 2 years in May. What if I was injured off the job , but they fired me after I said I would be out 2-3 weeks & then they claimed I never worked for them? It’s KFC food chain & I also have proof like paystubs & schedule

Ultra Fencing in Redding Ca didn’t report my injury. I even had a witness how saw me fall and he herd me tell the employer. Ultra even destroyed my timecard cause I wrote on it that I fell pretty hard. I was knocked out after I hit the ground.
Did you file your claim? Your employer is suppose to give you the DWC-1 claim form within a day from you reporting your injury. But if they are being difficult, you should bypass them and submit your claim directly with the insurance company. Usually you can do so by phone or online. Make sure to get name and contact info of witnesses and any other evidence that you were working that day as they probably will fight you on this one.
Hi I’m in California I got injured at work on may 30. 2019 I hired a lawyer on November the same year I got multiple injuries doing repetitive job I saw state doctor he stated that I’m permanent stationary disabled now the company I worked for don’t want me back with restrictions it means they don’t want to accommodate me I received a letter from work letting me know that if I don’t resign to my job they gonna determines me I’m very frustrated under lot stress. I was fired after reporting an injury they gave me papers to have a Dr sign and called me two days later I'm in court now suing for workman's comp
