I've been saying this in other places, but what I'm most curious about is how Ghost will interact with other Occults, like, if they'll override the Occult when a spellcaster or werewolf dies, ya know?

Ibwould think that it would override given the Sims 4’s one occult at a time approach. But maybe they’ll surprise us

I'm actually very curious on how the graveyard works. Like do only played households go there? Do you have to physically put a deceased sim there? or does it automatically fill with dead npc's? and if it does, is it just npc's from the world the graveyard is in or does it come from all over? I'd hope that it does autofill but only with the sims of the world the graveyard is in.

Making money reading tarot cards
Lots of new deaths (they told us 2 - death by crow and dying in your bed) but hopefully one more. The static in the TV and the dazed Sim - a poltergeist thing? Watch too long and you become a ghost? I hope!!
That tv thing is such a spooky idea! I would be terrified if it happened in my game 😱 As a 90s kid, tv snow is something that always creeped me out
I want there to be cross-pack gameplay with the Lawyer career from Discover University when it comes to writing Wills and Trusts.
I'm really curious about the new careers and University. I wonder which academic track will be needed for these
I hope you can choose to have one of the coffins from the pack as your sleep coffin for a vampire sim, it would be a cool cross pack feature.
your reaction is the first where i've seen anyone point out that suspicious question mark in CAS. i'm HOPING it's a "choose an occult" option since right now if you try to use a sim from your library or the gallery, you can't choose to make them a certain occult without generating a whole new sim & losing their entire look, which is super annoying, & it would make sense for this pack, so here's hoping

I wonder if you will still get grim when you die after this pack, or will a grimtern show up sometimes now? Also i'm sure i saw somewhere that the crypts hold multiple sims but like can you claim one for yourself or a family it is is just gonna fill up with random sims after you place remains in there?
Good question. I also wonder if being a grimterm means you may have to reap a family member at work
i assume it’ll just be grim as if you’re not active in work then he’ll just always work the same
The rebirth thing reminds me of Dawn from Buffy the Vampire Slayer. She just showed up and all of a sudden everyone had memories of her existing. Maybe that’s what happens here?

To be fair, it's kinda how it feels when you start a family from scratch anyways. They live together and are related, but no milestones, no memories, no sentiments... That's why I cheat for storytelling, otherwise a family is just a bunch of strangers in the same house without any backstory
For my first family, the oldest kid, a teenager was trying to get the Science badge in Sim Scouting. He was hit with a meteor soon after using the regular-sized telescope. Grim Reaper was convinced to let him live. Considering the Sim didn't get the badge (and I didn't think about using a computer at the time), he used the telescope a second time.
Well, he was once again hit by the meteor, but Grim didn't want to let the teen go again, so he was toast for good.
For me it makes more sense that you would always be reborn as an infant. I do know that not all simmers enjoys family gameplay so it is good that the player can choose the new age themselves.
People have been speculating about being able to switch occults in CAS so perhaps that's what the extra thing on the traits menu is?

Omg! The meteor! My very first sim in my very first save died of a meteor literally 5 mins after starting out. I built the house, did her in CAS, loaded into the game she ran around the side of the house to the telescope and bam! I just sat there in shock. 😮 can’t believe you’ve never had it happen without trying!

Is it just me or does Grim sound like Dr Gluon with an anonymous voice filter?
I reckon the "chased by death" trait might remove the second chances the game gives you. A lot of deaths in TS4 give you two chances - get eaten by a cowplant twice, or shocked twice while repairing electrical items, that sort of thing. Plus maybe the timer for things like how long a sim can burn before they die might be shortened.
This legit looks lit! This makes the Sims 4 Reaper way cooler compared to the Sims 2 and 3 Reapers!! The dialogue as well is just hilarious!!! Makes Grim sound like a comical character who understands the importance of his job!
This looks like the best pack ever. And I don’t even play with aging on. I’m going to have so many new ways to play. Can’t wait!
maybe bucket list options vary depending on your traits. like lazy could span the take a nap option. the kitchen and bathroom pieces look gorgeous. the wall paneling is an unexpected fave. i think this could be my favorite pack ever. like the pack i never knew i needed. so excited.
A fun job would be to be a ghostbuster. Either by yourself or with your family or friends. Running all over town catching ghosts and/or dealing with poltergeist, possessions and stuff like that. 😁
Or maybe when you sim die, they can become a ghost and work as a ghost or poltergeist that goes from home to home haunting people, scaring them maybe to death and recruiting them to your ghost/poltergeist haunting team.
Then your ghost team could be hires by other sims to make a family move out so that sim can buy the house cheap and move in. Could be tied to the criminal or evil sim traits.
Either that or just causing a mess and bugging other Sims. It could work in tandem with the mischief trait.
I know thos seems strange, but in a town I used to live, lawyers would be in the town square to assist with estate planning. It would be more convenient than making an appointment and meeting in an office.
honestly it feels like it opens it up to more people, waaaay more approachable so it makes sense! just in the context of the game looks funny, especially if you have seasons installed and know how much sims hate to be outside in the rain. I did reread the blogpost though and I think it's only gonna be there on the Family Day Festival, at other times you can either write your will on a computer or at the town hall
Love that! Sounds like outreach work and these people are essential to a community cause so many don't have the time or education to understand their rights/what's available to them.
The ghost with the veil on their head seems to have a sliced neck and yes as you mentioned skeleton hands , very intriguing 🤔
Maybe the game has been misrepresenting what a lifelong aspiration is , that you are getting it confused with a bucket list? At least my understanding is that climbing the tallest peaks in this world is an aspiration that will take time, discipline and commitment to achieve. Meanwhile, on a bucket list, people would like to jump out of a plane at least once or visit the Taj Mahal. Bucket list: Achievable, easy to complete and move on to the next item. Life goal/aspiration: Break a record/doing something that not just anyone could do. This is how I understood 😆
but napping? that’s not a bucket list 😭 i personally think bucket lists usually are a once in a lifetime thing but much bigger than what they seem to show in this trailer
@EnglishSimmer I understand you want a small challenge. There's nothing wrong with that. I appreciate them making it easy to change and edit to whatever we want, though. I'm hoping that in the game, it will be less frustrating than irl 🤭😅
@EnglishSimmer I think the nap thing was a custom one. The blog or Twitter mentions that there are list things you can unlock through gameplay (prob traits, etc), through categories as shown and write your own
I'm imagining the rebirth of a sim kinda being like time travel and like the reborn sim was always there like retroactively

I think I spotted the new quilts. In the last scene where the sim (Olive Sprector?) is flirting with Grim it´s in the background on the wall.
I wish sims can reborn in pets, like cat or horse, but i dont think this will happen.
i think skeleton hands are part of create a ghost feature.

Being able to be with Grim is everything! I wonder how it will interact with the love pack. Can you be in a relationship with him? Is it just some flirting and having a baby? Can you be exclusive? So many questions!
Being able to play "on the other side" is awesome!! Finally some different gameplay!!!! Being able to have an evil little Grim! Is it true? Is EA starting to GET IT??? Cautious crossed fingers.
Now that you compared Reaping to the detective career im not excited. My least favorite thing about that career is you're arresting people then going home to find them just chilling, with no memory of this happening. It would be even worse to see sims die and then see them out at the library
i mean they’re dead, i highly highly doubt they’ve programmed it so that they’re not actually dead in the game. people would not be happy

I'm worried how the active career is going to work. Will it be killing off townies so that we can actually play the career? Or will it generate random sims for us?
A mix of both I think. You should be able to spear them if you want

I really hope they give us a base game family tree update alongside the rebirth feature in the pack, but that might be a bit of a tenuous link 😅
I hope there is cross pack with cats and dogs. Would be really nice to have your pets be reborn into your household.
the word for those in-ear loops (you called them plugs), those are called 'gauges' if i remember correctly :)
I'm so excited for this pack! And so mad that they are releasing it ON halloween. that means it will be broken for halloween and all of us console players won't get to play until like Nov 4 or 5. By then the Halloween excitement will be over. ☹ Well, I mean, I'm constantly kind of excited for Halloween, but you know what I mean. 😄

I wish there was an option to be reborn as a fetus so once my sim dies I could choose for Bella Goth to become pregnant. it'd add some realism. or at least I wish we could play with genetics so the reborn sim actually looks like the family he's born into?

Is this trailer video "magic" or have they added more for the Sims to craft on the table?!? So hoping, that since it's the GAMEPLAY trailer, that it is in fact, added gameplay for woodworking.
