I personally really like the hairs and the fact that you can combine a few of the feminine-tagged ones for a single sim to have different styles for different outfits. I also like that the clothing partly gives off some Romanian inspiration and it all makes sense to me. Apart from the ghost outfits, it doesn't feel costume-like or tacky which a lot of the Realm of Magic and Vampire clothing does!
I’m actually impressed by this cas, prob its just my personal taste but all i saw was really nice, only downside for me was the all cropped stuff for feminine sims and weirdly enough NOT enough cropped stuff for masculine sims😂 (no but fr im so sad that cropped tshirt has a high neck, i was so happy to finally have a normal cropped tshirt in the game) and also the bottoms… way too similar to stuff we even just got in lovestruck
I agree, too many crop tops for women thou, this one elegant neck part with long sleeves and cropped just below breast, it's like not elegant or casual
What surprises me most about the surplus of crop-tops is, that we don't have any belly-button accessories or skin details to go along with it. 😅 I think there's one or two tattoo that you can show off with these tops but no piercings and I think even most of the scars aren't well accentuated by the crop-top selection.
The “Geled down curly hair” is a signature of “Josephine Baker”. Black history icon and professional “Life is too short for this crap” preacher. Kinda fitting for this pack.
In my family we have very big foreheads. I allwas struggle to find a haistyle for my selfsim. The most haistyles let the forehead appear to small. So I am very glad to see new haistyles that make the forehead big!
i think the ear stretchers looking like that is actually a new bug from them finally adding a new pair, after the update i put the eco-lifestyle ones on my sim and it had the same level of weird looking, when they previously worked flawlessly with any ear shape
I love that you show the cas on full bodied sims and show opposite gender clothes on sims. I have bought packs before and been soooooo disappointed by the way cas looks in those situations. This vid was so helpful. My nerdy goth librarian heart is so excited about this cas!
It’s kind of annoying that they never seem to take into consideration the players that own all packs. N it’s super lazy when they bring in the same kind of items we already have. Like it’s fine for pc players because they have amazing cc they can download but console players just get left out in the rain again. And the doubling up on the hair variants to have colour swatches is just annoying we get 4 or 5 less hair styles because they gave us the same ones over again. And the using the same hair on all genders and ages groups again is just honestly n just the team cutting corners again. N with the price of packs going up by $10 it just doesn’t seem like we are getting enough in these packs for the price point. Like I appreciate you can see they put the effort in for gameplay ect but it seems like they always drop the ball in certain parts of the pack to focus on certain things but at the end of the day for $60 every part of these packs should be fleshed out. As someone with all the packs n kits if the devs don’t up there game this will be the last pack I buy because I just can’t justify getting the same items over n over again and struggling to build houses because the bb is still so limited. N with 80+ dlc we should have a page of spandrels and all types of different build styles. But we don’t. Why in a game this expensive I still can’t full recreate any style house I want.
I love a lot of the clothing, but I only like maybe 2 hairstyles. I'm with you that they make the foreheads way too big, and I so desperately want to get back to children getting their own youthful hairstyles. Would've loved to see some cute ribbons and braids for child/toddler girls.

They threw bottles of Programmed hair gel on these new male hair styles. Poor Male Sims they'll get the shafting one way or another. LOL. Clothes are a mixture of goth and 1910's &1930's -maybe even a touch of forties. I like it, although morbid like the Adams Family. Which I think are the true inspiration of the Sims that and Sabrina. The clothes miss the elder and adult Sims market. Those bellybutton tops are not really designed for the older person.
Why don't pants come all the way down to cover ankles? Is there a reason? I hate the flood pants look, and for most real-life pants styles, the pants are long enough for the bottom to break at the top of the foot. Sorry, it's not specific to this pack, but most of the pants look geeky on my Sims. Anyway, CAS items will never be a deciding factor for me when considering a pack purchase, nor build/buy, but more options is always a plus. I wish suits looked more pressed... I feel like they always look a little disheveled.
I'm with you on the length of the pants. I always want a proper break at the bottom of the pant leg. I don't think the socks/shoes options are extensive enough to do them justice otherwise.

CAS and B/B look great. I love the idea that there are some modern furniture and clothes mixed with some older stuff. I plan on building a small Romanian Castle on the empty lot in Mourningvale. It will be run down and what furniture there is, will be either old that was in the castle when it was bought or new furniture that was brought with the Professor and his son. The professor will be an elder that is a ghost historian researching the macabre. His adult son will be a Grimtern working for Grim. Think Anthony Hopkins and Hugh Jackman. The castle will be haunted and on hallowed ground. I also want to create an old gypsy fortune teller using Life & Death and Paranormal packs. She will offer tarot readings and seances. Her son will look and act a lot like Don Lothario and offer his own unique set of services. For years I have been asking for an expansion pack with a Scottish world theme. Hills with castles and foggy moors. There would be kilts and bagpipes and the sound of the Ghost Piper in the distance, playing the death knell for his next victim. Also, a place for my werewolves to branch out to. So far, no go. But, with this pack, I will build an old estate with a Scottish style mansion on it where my werewolves will live. It will be based on Skyfall Lodge from the Bond movie of the same name. I haven't been this excited for years. Thanks!

The career outfit with the apron would be perfect for a mad scientist 👌🏻 As an enthusiast of historical clothing (especially victorian and edwardian) I'm so in love with the cas in this pack (and bb too) ❤ Don't have it yet, but can't wait until I can get it!
Pretty sure they didn't add ghost aspirations because the implications involved there - for the vampire, werewolves, and caster ones, one of the driving points of the aspiration is to "Become A Vampire/Werewolf/Spellcaster," so this one would need "Become a Ghost," which, for obvious reasons, wouldn't have been a great thing for living Sims to be aspiring for.
Mollie, I'm curious if the plague doctor mask works well with any hooded clothes? Can I wear the reaper robe that shows their face with the mask? Or with the hoodie from Goth Galore for example. Also is the mask in the glasses category? Thanks so much, loving these informative videos!

I was hoping Macabre trait would be some kind of useful to create serial killer but it's just good to make emo kid lmao I'd really wanted something making more deviant sims and in neighbourhood stories for sims to be randomly murdered I know we do have 'die in accident' cathegory I wanted create town where serial killer randomly kills but I wouldn't had to see it like it's mystery who it may be. seriously I prefer more realtstic stuff, still I love good drama and dark stuff too cuz they are essential for good gameplay tho yknow beside evil and mean traits we still gotta use mods for making killer and mod offering it works too extreme for me, it'd took too fast for most town to get murdered using mod 🤣
I'm still trying to wrap my head around how that one dress is "masculine." Anyway, most of this stuff is actually really good, especially for the period playthrough I have planned. For the hairstyles, the foreheads are actually more anatomically correct. I've made over 100+ sims based off irl people, and almost every time, the existing hairstyles leave the foreheads much shorter than the irl version of the person.

Likely intentional. They've never been able to handle hooded stuff with hairs (universally) well.
One of the Sim Gurus said it was intentional. She apologized for it and said that it was caused by a game limitation... hoped people would understand.
