She even joked during one of them that if the audience was drunk, she would sound better to them. lol But she is one of those artists where even if she doesn't always sound great live, it still works because she has a great stage persona. And don't think this is some kind of an attack on her, because I always liked her, I'm just telling it like I see it.

Met the lady about 5 years ago in New Delhi, coincidentally she was living in the same hotel as i was. She was kind and obliging enough to allow me to take a picture with her.
What a stunning assembly of musicians. For those who understand or care, listen with a good headset. Masterful backing singers, guitarist (TJP), bass player percussionist, keyboards and, of course, the lovely lovely Ms Carlisle. Pop song yes, but truly extraordinary performances and sound staging. Brilliant.
The 1990 live version of this great song proves beyond a shadow of a doubt Belinda was no lightweight. She effortlessly turns what was a nice pop song from her 1988 album "Heaven on Earth" into a solid rocker. Love the lead guitar. And Belinda's voice is amazing. And, oh yeah, is she drop-dead gorgeous, or what?
