I'm still heartbroken by her passing. A great voice. I was surprised how deeply her death hit me. It struck me that she was mainly the voice of my college years. I listened to only three bands in college: Cranberries, Roxette and U2. She may be gone but she's probably doing duets with Sinead up there by the pearly gates now...
I don't know why but for some reason I like the male backing vocals better than Dolores doing them herself on this song.

This is the third live version of this song I have heard. I am a guitarist of 59 years, having played in bands for 35 years. Take it from me. Each of these performances is just incredible, dead-on perfect, perhaps with the addition of an extra guitarist/singer, but none-the-less, perfect. This little woman could write and she could sing ... I just cannot express myself strongly enough. Sure do miss her and I hate that she has left us. I hated it at the time, and still do.

That is pitch perfect professionalism. Really impressive for a live concert. Current day ‘artists’ can’t even hold a tune when they aren’t in the studio being edited. What a sad loss that we didn’t have more time with her. What a unique, strong, independent voice.

I remember listening to this song when i was about 10 years old on a cassete in my bed... feeling the best emotions that i could feel at that age... discovering my love for music and feeling something soo special. And here i am at 26 crying in my bed missing her so so much. She was such an important part of my life and i am so sad for her passing. But the music will always perdure and my love for her will remain until my last breath.

I happened to hear "Zombie" from the speaker outside a cafe while walking downtown by the time this song was cut. I didn't know anything about the band, the singer, and the song. I was carried away by this song at the spot, thinking to myself " this band, this singer and the song will be immortal and timeless, I'm sure. I was right. RIP Dolores.

I love the way the late great Dolores delivered to vocals on this song, not just on this performance. The very intense position without too much movement, but incredible controlled vocal ferocity. She did this better than anyone, in her unique style. Only with hindsight, can it be seen just how good the Cranberries were. They had lots of devoted followers, but were slagged off by journalists, who looked down the end of their noses at them, with snarky reviews. RIP Dolores, one of the great vocalists, with her unique style.
