Screwing directly through that vinyl Dutch lap? 🤔

After installing metal skirting this way for 25 years there have been no problems. Hope to always improve in the future.

@@StraightArrowRepair what you trim the top of that deal with on that job? I’m about to help my son do his new double wide. Told him to go to my dads old chicken house and pull the tin and use that to save money in Brandon’s wonderful economy. Getting a local metal place to make some J for the bottom and rimset nail it to the concrete perimeter footers.

@@jeffabbott403 you order it as 1 and 1/2 down 1 out 3 1/2 down with bottom hemmed at your metal building supply or have someone make it that has a brake for bending metal like soffit and facia guys. Hope that helps

Yeah I’d be pretty upset if this was done to my house.

You should always overlap from top to bottom with any exterior coverings to ensure water runs off and not behind the material. 🥴 the skirting sheets and corner trim should be slid in behind the existing vinyl.

This method has been successfully used for over 28 years with no problems. In fact I continue to get more and more work because of its durability and lack of problems. Still I respect that you can have an opinions. My methods will be based on my experience with many many methods and what works.
