In all seriousness, there is no better antidote to Boris & Co's relentless shame and scandal than Her Majesty just getting on with being Queen. You cut that cake Ma'am, you cut that cake!
There is no antidote for Boris; he simply must be removed from office. And after watching the absolutely impeccable character we see in this video, how could Boris not be removed!
A better antidote would be a fully transparent, electable, accountable, democratically elected government (both houses of parliament and head of state)...

She gives the Queen's Speech at 3 pm every Christmas Day - which is broadcast live on national TV. She has also given a speech every year from the House of Lords at the State Opening of Parliament every year since 1952 - except for this year when Prince Charles gave it for the first time. That's two speeches a year broadcast live to the nation.
She’s such a narcissist. She’s not a queen if she doesn’t have any power. She has no accomplishments in life and gets to live a luxurious lifestyle by taking hard working people’s tax money. Then she acts like she deserves it by saying annoying things like that.

@@robertcarson3116 So hang on, let me get this straight. The problem isn't that everyone clapped, the problem is that one person said "well done." And this is apparently not because she is a 90 odd year old woman who gave cutting the cake her best shot, it's actually because she's a spoilt monarch who everyone praises for no reason. If that's what you're saying, do you see how ridiculous it sounds? And if I have misunderstood, then what are you saying?
@@alextowers3564 More broadly, the point I am trying to make is that praising this lady for her every action is laughable. There are thousands of British people who work long hours and get paid little. They were born into poverty, and they will stay in poverty, and there is a possibility that their children will also inherit that poverty. Many of these people work hard for their money. Meanwhile, you have this old lady, whose money and jewels come from very suspicious sources, who is getting praised for the simplest things. In reality, it doesn't seem like she has had to actually work hard much of her life (unless you consider waving to crowds and delivering prepared speeches to crowds hard...and maybe the occasional discussion with a country's leader). But, if you try making an argument that she does work hard, seriously, just think to yourself what you are saying. That being said, I'm sure she has worked every so often, but certainly nowhere near how hard the average British person works.

Not gonna lie, I lost it at Her Maj's terse response of "Yes, thanks very much" after the woman in green reads out what's (OBVIOUSLY!) written on the cake for her. She's still the Olenna Tyrell of the Royal Family, in the best possible way!
It’s still unbelievable that I will have to live in a world without THE Queen. She had such an impact on her people and I can count the times where she’s not been smiling on camera with my hands. She served us well but now she can rest.
@Atlantis so I recommend watching some videos since the queen did a lot more. She came to power for starters with no experience or education whatsoever but she knew her country needed friends. So across her reign she made visits to countries that had either not been visited by a British monarch in decades or had never been visited by a British monarch full stop. She was a master of diplomacy and was always there to reassure her people. Even when Philip died she didn’t take much time to mourn and got right back into looking after her people. She spent her life serving our country and it goes beyond her just being born to be the queen because she wasn’t. Her Uncle should have inherited the throne but he stepped down because of the responsibility of it. Elizabeth took it without a second thought even though she knew nothing about being queen and I’d say she did a fantastic job
@Atlantis You either don't get it or just like to attempt poorly at winding people up. If you have time try to read the comment above you as it explained that she didn't just smile and wave for the camera. Also just in case you were unaware whilst the Queen did take resources but do you know how much the Queen brought in tourism? It was estimated to be £550 Million per year. Much more than what she deservedly took.
@Atlantis She's done far more than that. As head of state and various organisations she was constantly busy. You have a very narrow view of the Queen which is shaped by how she was portrayed by the media.
@@maxlee8361 No that's the palaces. People don't visit the Queen. The two most popular palaces in Europe for tourism are both in France, where the public stopped having to pay for a monarchy a while back...
The important thing FOR ME is - whether one likes monarchy or not - that the Queen is one, if not THE, most observed women in the world. And all of the photos shot of her in the 90+ years of her life, which amount to gazillions, show the way we all - hope - to go: From a cute child, to a gorgeous, attractive young woman, a mother, grandmother and then to a graceful elderly lady. THAT is what I find so interesting about her life. Herzlichen Glückwunsch aus Deutschland, Majestät.
She's not even in the top 10 most observed women in the world. Not even close. Go outside the British and Anglosphere and people may know OF her, but that's about it. She's irrelevant outside Britain and has a somewhat checkered understanding in the US and Canada.
Lol..she's irrelevant in britian a few in England like the royal family but Britain no..Scotland,Ireland,Wales no and majority off folk in England couldn't care less about the Royal family its people from the rest off the world who observe the Royal family mainly
This is why the British monarchy still exists really, they relinquished a degree of power to parliamentary governance but retained their sovereignty. The Crown, as in the Queen, is sovereign to many nations throughout the world too. Not just the UK. All the other monarchs fell to ruin because they failed to adapt to the changing world. Allowing self governance while retaining absolute authority, that is of course if the Crown desires to exercise it. The fact she need not do so even in the most mundane of things is testament to how powerful she truly is and how respected and adored she is by her subjects.

There is no antidote for Boris; he simply must be removed from office. And after watching the absolutely impeccable character we see in this video, how could Boris not be removed!

@Atlantis American
@@matthew_cahill dont try reasoning with people on the internet :D their anonymity is too powerful, they'll just keep coming back at you
