Poor Ferrer, the greatest player without a win against RF.
It's ironic because Ferrer has beaten Nadal 6 times and even once on clay, and yet he still couldn't get 1 win against Fed, not even on clay.
The match-up is very difficult for Ferrer. Federer's style of play works so well against a wall type player like Ferrer, so even though Ferrer has come close in the past, he's never been able to quite make it.
Tennis is all about match-ups. Nadal was always just a bad matchup for Federer, mostly due to Nadal’s deep high-kicking forehand to Federer’s relatively-weak one-handed backhand. Federer finally figured out how he needed to play against Rafa in recent years, but it took him a decade! Nadal was not only a better matchup for Ferrer than than Federer, but Ferrer was arguably as good of a hardcourt player as Nadal was for a while. For years Nadal was absolutely dominating the tour on clay and winning majors, but for various reasons he just wasn’t remotely as good on hardcourts as he was elsewhere. Ferrer took advantage of that. Federer was the cream-of-the-crop on hardcourts for many years, and Ferrer never stood a chance. And Federer was good enough on clay in his prime that Ferrer couldn’t touch him there either. Federer was just an all-around bad matchup for Ferrer.
A similar example is how Davydenko was a bad matchup for Nadal, beating him 6 times on hard court. On the other hand, Davydenko only beat Federer two times out of like, 20. Also, Fognini has proven to be a tough matchup for Nadal, which he has never beaten Federer. I am pretty sure there are players who have never beaten Nadal, but have beaten Federer more than once. It’s just the way tennis works.

They met in the world tour final in 2007 better than any grand slam match unless the final.
These H2H videos are amazing but they are not as simple as your first impression would give you. Even though Ferrer never won a match against Federer, he won 6 times against Nadal, and the former won 23 - 15 against Federer.

Well he's retired now, so nope. Which means Ferrer will go down as one of many, if not, the ONLY player to have NEVER BEATEN Federer. Sad for Ferrer, but obviously impressive for Federer. The good side though is that Ferrer did reach a high ranking of #3? If I'm correct. Still that's amazing for someone his size.

Ferrer once said in an interview that Nadal was the toughest player he faced. He could never even touch Federer, yet he did beat Nadal 6 times, including once on clay.
Was he unable to admit the extremely lopsided statistic against Federer?
Maybe as a (tad too) proud Spaniard, was he trying to increase the Rafa mystique, as if implying that even if he never beat Fed, Rafa is even tougher?
Or was he having amnesia that day he was being interviewed?

He recently did say that Roger, indeed, was his toughest opponent and that he drove him crazy.
He said Nadal was his toughest because he atleast had a chance to beat him. Federer on the other hand, coached him each time they met😂😂
He played Rafa a lot more times (33) than he played Roger (16). I think if he played Roger more he would have a few wins. Weird how they met so infrequently.

So i dont think any other player have ruined careers of many tennis players in tennis. Roger has ruined many careers pf great tennis players like ferrer, roddick, hewitt, and many more. If there wont be federer then that era would be real clash between these greats. Thats why federer is called and named as GOAT. coz there was no one near to his level in his peak. He not only beat his opponent but also broke their confidence.
