I cant believe im just finding this channel . I love my wraith 1.9 just like his and my ftx outback geo . And your right its relaxing to just to block things out and see where they will go abd my wife loves doing also so free pass for me lol
Last April I bought my first ever rc at age 66. I got a arrma senton 3sblx. My son in-law and my little grandsons have them too. Then the end of July I got a element rc enduro sendaro. That is my favorite rc now. I also have purchased the 1955 f100 Ford axial scx10ii. Do to winter haven’t had that one outside yet. My grandsons are 3,5,and 6 they are so good at crawling it’s unreal. Even the 3 year old has the ability to crawl nice and slow. Love it. God bless
I think my favorite part about crawling is watching the axle articulation and finding what seems like impossible lines, and making them possible. Going slow and climbing is just so fun for some reason 🤷
I've been racing rc since 1992. I had someone tell me that driving a crawler was more like going fishing. So I've decided to give it a try... more fun less stress lol.
I just purchases the RedCat Gen 8 v2 Scout and looking forward to running it for the first time and my first crawler style truck. What I'm loving about the crawler is the how you can go as far as you want with adding accessories to make it look so realistic and scale. Roof racks, lights, fancy rims and tires, hard bodies, cargo, etc. it just caught my attention and now im into it.
Love RC planes, jets, gliders, drones, trucks and buggies. Flying is my favorite type but I like surface too. We have a small track at our flying field that is fun to play around with. Haven’t tried crawling yet but it does look relaxing and enjoyable (which is why I like soaring). Want to try out a boat too.
I started my crawling part of the rc hobby with a TRX4, now i have a gen8, trx6, axial 6x6 and a scx10.3. After a long day of work nothing better than going out for some crawling and exploring, it definitely help you forget everything else. Also the Wraith 1.9 it’s discontinued from axial and they no longer make it any more. That why you dont see them that much anymore. Another awesome video, stay safe and warm guys.
I've just recently got back into RCs after 20 years. They used to break so much more back then. I've started with crawlers and my favorite so far, is my Axial SCX10 III. And I fully agree with you about just getting out in peaceful nature and having fun with them. I've learned a lot from watching your videos and other TH-camrs. Thanks for the great content, and keep it up! More crawling videos with no music would be nice... it makes it more calming and peaceful to enjoy.
Out of all my crawlers I think my favorite is still the Defender TRX4. I love taking it out on the trails just to relax and focus for a moment on something fun and positive. I'll even crawl for an hour or two at night in the woods for a different experience. The sounds of the woods are definitely different in the middle of the night! RC trailing/crawling is my relaxing, happy zone. God bless.
I have 3 crawlers...a SCX10ii, a SCX10iii, and a Wrath 1.9...I love them all, but without a doubt, the wraith is my favorite. Only mod is Proline Hyrax tires. This truck is a great value...especially for someone just getting into the hobby. I enjoy your videos!
I like the crawlers because like you said it is very peaceful vs the fast bashers. Also even though alot of bashers certainly can play in mud they just seem to rooter tail it and throw it everywhere, whereas the crawlers just go through and dig it is alot of fun overall. When people watch them drive they are so boring but when you get behind that controller and play on rocks or sand or even flat ground it is so much fun.
I bought this exact one on Nates recommendation during a Q and A on one of the “build hangouts”. I Love it! I asked if I could buy ONE crawler what should it be. Never regretted it. Love you guys
I had two Rc's before I started watching the Rc Saylors. Now I have 21 and counting. My favorite crawler is my Traxxas trx-6. I haven't had snow here in Southern Delaware longer than 24 hours before it's gone ! Awesome video guys . Keep warm and safe . 👍🙏⚓😀
It travels over ice & snow very well, and the occasional stick. Nice Snow ❄ 🌨❄ day crawl. Looked like you had your own off roder. Stay warm 🔥& safe. ⚓⚓👍💙👍⚓⚓.
I've just built up a MN86KS GWagon and I already love it! I'm normally all about going fast, really fast! I wanted a trx4 but I wanted to build it and the MN Models kit was really affordable! It's a fantastic looking model and it drives amazingly! If anyone is looking for a crawler I highly recommend it The thing I like about crawlers is the laid back side of rc, driving fast is normally expensive (breakages) crawling there doesn't seem to be as many crashes 😊
I bought my wraith 1.9 because of your original review,I love it, the tyre wobble was annoying me so I put on black metal rims and deep woods tyres with starfoams and weights. Very underrated and I also dont get why. Great to see this animal in the wilds 🤠👍
I think my favorite is my Redcat Scout. The Wraith seems like a fun vehicle also! I love watching the articulation of the wheels and shocks and making my own course to crawl on in the back yard. Keep the videos coming you guys!
Thank you guys for another amazing crawler video. I started with the 12428 but moved onto my crawler project based on your Gen8 videos. my first crawler project goes as follow: Redcat Gen8 AXE chassis w Hobbywing Axe electronics, RC4WD Chevy blazer body chopped cabin only, Pro-Line racing back-half cage, and various 3d print off-road accessories. Lighting TBD and soon... on my 3d printer bed is the mock engine which I am hoping to drop in as soon as I get a fan for measurement. fun :)
One of my favorite crawlers is the Vaterra Suburban. It's just so quiet, I don't think your mic would even hear it. Really peaceful crawling, you'd like it.
THAT was a FUN crawl, I think my feet got a little colder!! With CRAWLING I can't wait to see what situations you get yourselves into!! My favorite crawler I own is the Vaterra Ascender Chevy etc!! GREAT JOB SAYLORS and thanks!! 💟👍😘
I watched your snow bash loved it! I have a cross demon SR4 crawler, 3s lipo brushed, I love it....it was kit build form, I wanted something different from everyone else, the trans is the weekest point but I'm looking for upgrades.....stay safe , keep on doing what you do !!!!
Myself and a buddy started a rc group we go out every weekend i use a axial wraith spawn we have lots of snow here in Canada i love my wraith keep up the awesome videos look forward for more to come
good video, lots of truth in there. One of my favorite rc's is my vs410 pro chassis with the og wraith cage adapted to fit. Ultimate wraith 1.9 imo. The crawling segment gives so much smiles per dollar spent!
My favorite crawlers are the 10.2, 10.3, and ECX barrage gen 2. Between my wife and I, we’ve the 10.3 gladiator, 10.2 exocaged Ford f100, gmade Komodo double cab, two ECX barrage gen 2 Chevy bodied rigs, an MN86KS, and a SCX24.
Great video. I was out in the snow earlier in the year in my wrath spawn and it was fantastic. I purchased the 1.9 version about a month ago and I have to agree I think it's my favorite crawler as well.
Hey Saylors I watch almost every one of your videos. Sometimes I forget to like, just want you to know you are appreciated. The info you provide, and the fun that you share are what it's about. Thank you.
Crawlers are my favorite RCs and for me crawling is a Zen like puzzle solving experience. I enjoy custom building crawlers and my favorite is the last one I made, its a moon buggy (look up world extreme rock crawling) with VP portals, 4 wheel steer, stainless steel cage all under 6lbs
I love the sound of crunching snow so this video was great. As far as what is my favorite rc I own, I think right now it’d have to be my Clodbuster. It’s completely stock and running an old Traxxas radio that I salvaged out of my even older Revo 3.3*. My Clod is slower than a turtle rolling uphill, and has the bounciest suspension in the world. It’s totally and completely ridiculous, but I absolutely love it. 10 out of 10 would recommend to anyone who needs a smile put on their face. *My Traxxas Revo 3.3 lived a good life, but after many hours of running, bashing, and crashing its engine gave out. It is enjoying its retirement now. On occasion it will donate parts of itself so that other rc’s may run. Perhaps one day I will attain a new engine for it. Revo may yet roar to life once more...
My only crawler is the SCX24 Jeep Wrangler and I love it! I also have a Mini-Z Camero (with lights!) that I just got this week, a Losi Mini 8ight-T and a Losi 22T (2.0), and I just ordered two Sport Cub S2s after watching your video the other day. One for me, and one for my dad. It'll be my first plane!
I hear you. We actually got to 20 degrees yesterday. It felt warm compaired to what it has been. We lived in Iowa for 8 months. The winter temperatures ran minus 40 some days. No snow. I told my wife we go back to Northern Michigan, I like snow. Screw the cold.
I guess the reason they have silver paint on the inside with the black or orange on the outside is so when it gets scratched or dented the silver shows threw to look like metal for realism just thought that was cool ,I never heard of that if it's nothing new.
I enjoyed that a lot too, so decided no music was the way to go here. Might not be as exciting, but that's not what it is always about with us. Thanks for appreciating that 👍😎⚓
I have done rc since 1986 since first rc gold tub . Late to the party , this week plan to get my first trail truck. Got wraith last fall, really enjoy it.
Hi Guys. Love your videos as per normal. I have the early Wraith. as you say Nathen awesome crawler, and from stock she doesn't stop for much. Awesome video as always just love you guys. Well, the best part of crawling is it really can be any time any place anywhere and be fun fun fun on ya own. Again as I live alone RC is great for single people to go and have adventures. Bravo xx
I love my drone DJI phantom. But when I was younger I have RC cars. I would love to get back in the hobby but 4 little girls later I have to many mouth to feed. But I love watching you guys videos!!!! I’m living through your experiences👍👍 Blessings cm 😄
Trail/Crawl RC's are my favorite. A little coaxial helicopter is what finally got me into RC back in 2013 (although I borrowed a coworkers 1/10 buggy over 10 years before), and then I progressed into bashers, but scale trucks caught my attention, because I was an avid hiker/backpacker back in my early 20's, and loved being on the trails. I kept with helicopters, however, and progressed to a collective pitch Blade 300X, but found it to be too stressful and not so much fun. Too many trees keeps me from flying airplanes, or else I'd consider that. I have quite a few RC 4x4 scale trucks, and still have several bashers. I think the Axial Dingo is my favorite, and also my Unicorn, because it's always been challenging to work with, being a short wheelbase. I never had a stock one because they were discontinued shortly after I finally got into scale trucks, so I tried to build one from a gen 1 Deadbolt roller chassis, but failed to get the wheelbase to match up. Then, when the SCX10 II Deadbolt came out, I bought one and started converting it, but still had problems. Several years later, I finally have it working, but it has come with many hours of frustration! I just love that little Defender 90-inspired design, though. I sold my Wraith 1.9, because I didn't enjoy it as much as my Dingo. :D Why not buy a clear Wraith 1.9 body and paint it up? It's pretty easy to swap shells on that 1.9 cage. I will say, the clear body is a bit challenging to cut & trim. I did one for my Wraith 1.9, and had some trouble. Peace!
I'm into both bashing (have 2 1/10 Granite 4x4) and more recently RC planes. The MTs are used mostly to exercise the dog and entertain the kids - pre Covid-19. I'm digging the planes a lot more. Used to be into modeling and control line flying when I was a kid in the 1950s, I'm 76 now, so I guess the RC plane appeal is that I'm partly reliving my childhood. BTW, airplane modeling lead me to go to Aviation HS in NYC and from there into Marine Corps Aviation where I worked on F4 Phantoms. Got to Japan and Vietnam while serving with VMFA-542.
I’ve always been anti crawlers just because they aren’t that fast so I’ve just stuck to bashing. This past weekend I did get to mess around with an axial scx10 and I actually had fun with it even though I wasn’t screaming around and launching it in the air! So now I’m actually contemplating buying one lol
I own a few crawlers, I have the black Wraith, scx-10 II, scx-24, rc4wd marlin, rc4wd gelander 24, a custom built crawler with tamiya TLT axles on an axial chassis with a Tamiya Jeep Wrangler yj body.... picking a favorite is like picking your favorite child... but the scx-10 II, has been the one that I travel with in my tractor while over the road....
I love my Wraith (orange) 1.9 I just had it out crawler through the backyard snow. Pretty awesome crawling with a thin layer of ice over the snow. I also have a pair of axial 1/24's. Jeep and Deadbolt. I call those my flower bed crawlers. LOL. If I''m gonna do some snow bashing/drifting I like to run my arrma senton. Woo Hoo! That draws a lot of attention. Ha!
After discovering your channel I acquired a blue Redcat Gen 8 (my first crawler), a 1968 Ford F100 Veterra Ascender, sorry Abby, liked the Ford body, a TRX4 Sport kit, sorry Nate, had to try the build, the Wraith 1.9 in black after watching your video at the flying field and finally the SCX10 II 1955 Ford PU in green, sorry again Abby, fell in love with the green one after seeing it at my local hobby shop. I have also, due to you guys, got into fixed wing airplanes. I know have six. Haven't flown the Aeroscout or the Maule yet. Bought the Maule and became afraid I would wreck it so got the Aeroscout for my birthday to fly first so I can get over my aversion of destroying the Maule. Been too snowy and cold up here lately to fly. Started with helicopters. Thanks for the vids Saylors. I missed the Kraton video Nate. I shall watch it right after this one. Greetings from Montana.
I love my Orlandoo Hunter pickup (if it can be considered a legit crawler) because I built it and tricked it out. Lights, horn, paint and "Raptor" decals I made! Enjoy crawling over rocks in my east pasture!
You have more snow than we do right now! That's crazy! We have missed out on every large storm. I snow blowed two weeks ago and have only used a half of a 3 gallon can of gas so far this winter. I like that Wrathe too. Good color. I don't get out much because of the extreme cold. 4 degrees is hard on plastic parts and batterys. I finally released a new video. Check it out some time.
Dude!! I loved the Kraton 8S video!! That was great! Abbey was feeling like Godzilla crunching around! You're going to drive on the pond? Reminds me of when I was a kid around Louisville, KY. In the 70's we would get a lot of snow and cold weather that the Ohio river would freeze and people would drive across it! There were always some people who would go through the thin ice with their trucks. Just be careful! I'd hate for you to lose your crawler!
I have a bezgar rc truck 1/10 scale and love it, messed up the body but 100 mph tape can't fix, I'm new to the rc hobby but I'm interested in another truck and possibly a rock crawler, love your videos and the information you give about the RC your showing, lm looking forward for more videos
This weather has been nuts I live in South Central ky so we have the ice and snow just like you all. I have a redcat gen7 and b4 the big snow I was able to pull my kids around the ice with in and they had a blast they are 2 and 6.
Awesome Nate and Abby I like the RC car and it looks great too awesome color too AWESOME video 👍👍👍👍 😎❤️ and it's looks cold out there enjoying the video and stay warm guys and great job Nate and Abby 😎👍❤️
My favorite is my Capra I think. I wasn't sure about the Capra until I saw your guys video with the Capra on the hill where Abby messed up the rear axle (🤣🤣) just push the button! We got about the same amount of ice and snow here in Alabama, which doesn't happen much and I was actually able to FINALLY take one of my rigs out in it. SO much fun! Took my Redcat Rockslide out and had a blast 👍🏻😁
I agree Nathen. if ya into the RC hobby I think people should try everything in the hobby. I do lol and its made my collection so much fun. and never geat board ever. Top Man Nathan x
Don't own a crawler, but if I were to get one, it would probably be the TRX-4... mostly for its great scale looks. A Tamiya Dynahead 6x6 might be interesting too.
Cool crawler for sure I've never been into crawlers If I did I think I'd have to go with independent suspension and preferably rear wheel drive I know I'm dreaming lol If your gonna dream dream big I always say 😁 This Axial seems to be doing pretty dang good though and it looks cool Nice vid in the beautiful snow guys 🔥👍✌️
If I would buy one I would get the black one. When I first saw this, I liked the idea of the hood. I have both Deadbolts (the 10 and 10 ll) I'm going have to get wheels and tires for the 10 ll, every time I run that one the tires wobble so much that it just drives me nuts! Just love barely going when I come to limbs.. just to watch the articulation of the shocks work.

there is nothing better than a music free video
I'm glad you appreciated that 👍 Will definitely have to do a bit more of it to see how people like it in more videos 👍😎⚓
I have a axial deadbolt 2 and I go for walks with it all the time and people's reactions are priceless
I think my favorite part about crawling is watching the axle articulation and finding what seems like impossible lines, and making them possible. Going slow and climbing is just so fun for some reason 🤷

Crawling is extremely peaceful, you don’t have to worry about crashing or breaking anything and I love the scale aspect as well!

Love mine. It’s pretty top heavy out of the box. Some better tires and weight down low made a huge difference. One of of my favorite trucks.
YES! Thank you! Someone else's video states that the top heaviness kills the value but I could assume that some metal parts would help
I've just recently got back into RCs after 20 years. They used to break so much more back then. I've started with crawlers and my favorite so far, is my Axial SCX10 III. And I fully agree with you about just getting out in peaceful nature and having fun with them.

I love driving my Traxxas trx4 defender in the snow. So much fun watching the snow being kicked up from the tires. Plus it cleans my shocks for me!
I should get one of those for the snow days, no drone flying condition but for a truck like that won't care! Greetings from Connecticut!
I own this truck because of your original video, still ❤ it , metal wheels and weights, that's it , it's a beast!!
To this day, still one of my favorite crawlers! Always live follow up comments like this 👍🙏😎💯⚓️
Bought the Wraith after seeing it on your channel. Love it. Thanks for doing what you do.
Me too
I bought this exact one on Nates recommendation during a Q and A on one of the “build hangouts”. I Love it! I asked if I could buy ONE crawler what should it be. Never regretted it. Love you guys
That is so awesome my friend! I'm really glad you like yours. We are 1.9 brothers 🤜💥🤛
I enjoy the crawler scene for the tinkering on scale features and relaxing outdoors, use to bash full size crawlers, this is a little more affordable

I got one of these for my wife. She loves it! Great crawler.
Did you get her the orange one like ours? I'm dying to get my hands on the black and green one some day :-)
@@TheRcSaylors yes, the orange one. New tires and bead locks with new 95mm shocks.

Losi Nightcrawler, put in rear steer and lipo power. Changed reciever to 5 channel. Love it.

Thank you.
I have a axial a gen8 v2 and a cr12 tioga
Welcome to Minnesota every day! It finally warmed up to 10 above zero today here and I felt like I was in Hawaii
I hear you. We actually got to 20 degrees yesterday. It felt warm compaired to what it has been. We lived in Iowa for 8 months. The winter temperatures ran minus 40 some days. No snow. I told my wife we go back to Northern Michigan, I like snow. Screw the cold.
That was really fun to watch thank you for ventureing out into the cold.
I guess the reason they have silver paint on the inside with the black or orange on the outside is so when it gets scratched or dented the silver shows threw to look like metal for realism just thought that was cool ,I never heard of that if it's nothing new.
I like hearing the motor rather than music. I have several crawlers my scx10ii is my favorite. I need one of these too
I enjoyed that a lot too, so decided no music was the way to go here. Might not be as exciting, but that's not what it is always about with us. Thanks for appreciating that 👍😎⚓
I'm just now getting into rcs. At 55! Love it!
I love my crawlers, best part is the actual crawling on rocks and tough trails, in the snow i just floor it watch the rooster tails lol
I really enjoyed this. It felt like I was walking and running one of my trail trucks beside you 🙂👍👍
Have a room full of everything from planes and drones to crawlers and bashers but when it all comes down to it my go to is a crawler .
Yes! One of us!
One of us!
One of us!
😉😁👍😎⚓
I started RC with drones but after buying a Arrma granite 3s blx v1 and a Red Cat gen8 scout I'm definitely a basher/crawler guy now!
Ha!
I have the Mad torque rock crawler and converted it to 4-wheel steering. It will go over anything!
WL 12428 is my only rc vehicle. But does crawling and bashing. An overall great rc.
Yes it is my favorite out all of my crawlers.
I have a bezgar rc truck 1/10 scale and love it, messed up the body but 100 mph tape can't fix, I'm new to the rc hobby but I'm interested in another truck and possibly a rock crawler, love your videos and the information you give about the RC your showing, lm looking forward for more videos
you all are the best. I cant get enough of that kraton video. yep i was waiting for a good snow here in Missouri to wash the mud off my rc's! Lol
It just works so well! I love taking my muddy rigs out in the snow. Good as new 😁👍😎⚓
This weather has been nuts I live in South Central ky so we have the ice and snow just like you all. I have a redcat gen7 and b4 the big snow I was able to pull my kids around the ice with in and they had a blast they are 2 and 6.
Stress reliever? I'm still very nervous with my new plane! You two definitely got me into this though.
🙋♂️ Nate and Abby that’s a big RC behind you in 2 minutes shot 😆
i got the axial deadbolt from your recommendation a couple years ago and its still awesome. havnt broken anything yet.
Awesome Nate and Abby I like the RC car and it looks great too awesome color too AWESOME video 👍👍👍👍 😎❤️ and it's looks cold out there enjoying the video and stay warm guys and great job Nate and Abby 😎👍❤️
So nice to have a video without music!
Glad you enjoyed this. We should do it a bit more often. Especially when it is so peaceful outside! Our SHORTS channel usually doesn't have music 😉👍😎⚓
Wraith was my first rtr crawler rig. This video makes me want to get one again 🤔
good track and beautiful view
👍👍
My favorite is my Capra I think. I wasn't sure about the Capra until I saw your guys video with the Capra on the hill where Abby messed up the rear axle (🤣🤣) just push the button! We got about the same amount of ice and snow here in Alabama, which doesn't happen much and I was actually able to FINALLY take one of my rigs out in it. SO much fun! Took my Redcat Rockslide out and had a blast 👍🏻😁
Nice truck man, i like the body
When are y’all doing budget plane week
Yes!
Awesome video guys keep up the wonderful work
That car is epic👍
The wraith reminds me of the dead bolt with a roof lol
US1M (US 1 meter) sailboats then crawlers. Fav crawler at the moment is my SCX 10 III Wrangler. Just got a Capra that's going to get 4WS..
i have the axial wraith 1.9 and i love it. i also love the videos keep up the good work
I agree Nathen. if ya into the RC hobby I think people should try everything in the hobby. I do lol and its made my collection so much fun. and never geat board ever. Top Man Nathan x
Helicopters, Micro to a 600 Align, 17 in total, also 1/10 cars, 2 E-maxes, boats and tug boats etc. Planes too. Basically all RC
Yes! Jay, that's how you do the hobby 🤜💥🤛
Thanks rc day lord
Don't own a crawler, but if I were to get one, it would probably be the TRX-4... mostly for its great scale looks. A Tamiya Dynahead 6x6 might be interesting too.
I Love your channel!!!! Your morals are what is needed in this Time Praise God for your Channel !!!
Thanks for the music free video so nice
I have mostly been a basher and solid axle scale monster truck person, but want to get 1 or 2 trail crawlers so I and my friends can take on hikes.
Slick truck looks fun !!
Great job!!!
Cool crawler for sure I've never been into crawlers If I did I think I'd have to go with independent suspension and preferably rear wheel drive I know I'm dreaming lol If your gonna dream dream big I always say 😁 This Axial seems to be doing pretty dang good though and it looks cool
Nice vid in the beautiful snow guys 🔥👍✌️
Love my Axial Capra
If I would buy one I would get the black one. When I first saw this, I liked the idea of the hood. I have both Deadbolts (the 10 and 10 ll) I'm going have to get wheels and tires for the 10 ll, every time I run that one the tires wobble so much that it just drives me nuts! Just love barely going when I come to limbs.. just to watch the articulation of the shocks work.
I love crawling for the same reason i ride motorcycle. Relaxation.
