Back on the hill. Crawler did very well. Orange Alway's gets it done. 😊. No music, listen for the sounds of the RC 🚜 [only crawler I had 🙂. Also listen to nature 🐦🐦. Well I heard the crawler, but nature was drowned out by some guy who kept talking over it.😂😂🤣🤣😋😋🥴🥴🥴. Good crawling, by all. ⚓⚓👍👍💝💝👍💘💘👍⚓⚓

I like the Orange, really, really like that color. It has moved up to the front of my line for color. I have to relocate the battery box up front on the Wraith Spawn. I want the Cherokee Body but I doubt it will work on the first gen Wraith Spawn frame. Crawlers are called that for a reason, crawling. I think someone could rehear one of these and change it up for more speed. We are a muddy mess with snow still in the woods. I hate this part of Spring. It rained most of the night, then changed over to cold freezing everything by morning. This virus deal is really messing up everything right now. I got kiddy day care going due to school being closed for 3 weeks, possibly more. Ok, Orange and black may end up being my colors. My Grandson asks everyday about the Wraith and my big Waco Biplane. He really wants to see both going.

To me this one looks much more like the Deadbolt/SCX10 style, probably because the body is squared off and not as aggressive. Granted, underneath the shell it’s probably a very different animal versus the SCX10. Sort of: the mild-mannered looks of a yellow minion, the heart of a wild-haired purple one. 😉
Yep, miss those trail crawling videos. Guess somebody needs a stroller equipped with Nitto Trail Grapper tires, locking differentials, and a selectable drag brake. Or maybe the deluxe version with mud flaps and a tow bar winch. No doubt Nate could mount the optional smoke machine accessory himself... 😋

When you showed the battery I noticed the left fronf spring is not seated correctly in the lower cup

When I first saw this in videos, I liked the idea of the actual hood. I also like the look of the hood with the 'scoops'. I would prefer the black one myself.

such a cool crawler, no wonder you like it Nate,, a little simple mod to stop the rear body shake put a dab of black hot glue in the inside of the shell where the roll cage attaches that will sort it mate. happy rc-ing guys.

I noticed in some of the close up shots, it looks like the front shock spring was coming off the perch. Did you encounter this happening? The springs would come off the perch on my 2.2 Wraith, and the perch itself would fall off since it did not fit very tight. I assumed this was one of those "fits everything" pieces that was not designed specifically for the model, but for all models. I ended up shoe gooing the perch down so i would not lose any more of them
The newer series scx10ii, wraith 1.9 etc...have changed the spring retainer/ perch and you can fit a screw into it and clamp it in place... The kits come with the screws but not sure if they supply them in parts bag on rtr's

Hey saylors I just bought the new red cat kaiju it's freakin awesome plz get one...4s n 6s power crazy
the rear body movement/rattle can be fixed by adding a couple of beads/globs :-) , of 'silicone sealer', between the body and rear cage/bar. It still allows movement so the body can absorb impact without damage but solves the body problem. If you don't like it, you can always peal the silicone off. It needs too move a little due to tire rub and impact. Screws, over time, would probably crack the body at that particular spot. After watching your videos, I picked up the Wraith 1.9. I added a set of Proline 'Krawler' tires and bead lock wheels ! Made all the difference !!! Thank you both for the heads up on the Wraith 1.9 ….have a great week...
I used some self adhesive foam body spacers, just cut to fit, much tighter and it has a bit of give

I got one today and took it out on a good hiking trail, and it handled hills, rocks, roots like a champ! And like you said battery lasted hour and a half and about 3 miles.
Mine lasted at least 3 hours out of the box

Throw some good tires on it and you'll love it even more some aluminum breadlocks and proline tires they do amazing fun I just picked up my first wraith couple weeks ago all decked out and it does great and kids love it though of getting one of these one day also keep it up have great day

I have expanded into all aspects. Drones bore me however. Helicopters are 10 times what drones are not. One thing nice about the hobby is there is something for everyone. We can switch up, try something different, buy, sell, trade. It's all good as long as we get out flying ,driving, cruising, crawling...no paint drying... I dont even have time. lol.

You ended up getting rc4wd c2x I bought me one and I've had all kinds of Riggs and I ended up buying another one at the Shelf queen I'm going to do up out of axial Redcat and all the other brands I've had I had a TRX 4 this is by far my favorite one a little bit pricey but well worth it

Try a 3S Smart LiPo pack; still gets you low speed crawling but more wheel speed.

I put ripsaw tires on mine. Grips and climbs way better than the stock tires

I just got the cr12 Tioga trail truck but haven't seen any videos of it anywhere on TH-cam other then a unboxing by some kid, that's kinda weird
That's cause the cr-12 isn't a really popular rig. It's underpowered and too small. It's a good entry level truck, but you'll want something better pretty quickly.
@@rcscaleandtrail4760 that's too bad, its a fun truck to take for a walk in the woods/park and handles snowtrails in the woods ,I don't rock climb with it but if I did I would put a bigger motor in it, a better steering servo setup, and maybe the temper2 tires or some axial 1.9s

@@gamerhacks2374 To be honest? most RC vehicles under $100 are nothing but toy grade . What's the difference you ask? Parts. More like availability of parts. If you buy any RC vehicle from say Banggood, I highly recommend you make sure you can obtain replacement parts. I am not saying they are not out there as far as buying parts, what I am saying is for how long will those parts be available. I got into a certain brand RC Hobby grade vehicle and figured I was good to go being they are sold at most hobby stores. Well, sadly just like Horizon's UMX planes within 2 years the parts started becoming harder and harder to find. At first I was thinking it was a great deal because prices were dropping on available parts so I even bought an upgraded brushless version with a replacement brushless set up for my first one. " Awesome" I thought. What was even better was the RC company that has been in business forever was carrying them. So that ment I would always have acess to parts. Well, yes and no. Mostly no. They still make a few vehicles, but discontinued the line I was into. Like Horizon and UMX, I now have two obsolete vehicles that once something in the suspension breaks, I am eather going to have to get creative, or just use one vehicle as parts for the other.
Ok, here is my idea. If you do invest in a cheaper RC vehicle like that, make sure you order every available spare part you could possibly need and hord them like an old granny hording moth balls during a viral pandemic. Now here is the dilemma. Should you invest in an RC Saylor sponsored $99 Banggood special, then dump another $99 in parts, or just save up another 6 months and buy that Losi you keep saying costs too much. You choose.

Scx24 is good ,1/24 scale but very capable for its size. 130$. 1/18 scale 100-200$ for a good one.
350$ is average for 1/10 scale crawlers. Wraith, redcar gen8, traxxas sport and others are good. Still will need a good charger and batteries .

You need to check out the new Redcat Racing Winigo Rock Racer, looks a lot like the Wraith but has a brushless system in it and is a lot faster.
but this is a crawler not a racer. Speed takes away from the scale crawling aspect. At least that’s my opinion

It's sad really because I have the space and equipment to create any kind of track or course I might want. Maybe if I ever saw one up close, I don't know. I think I'll make an airfield instead. Flying alone probably wouldn't hold my interest though.
Planes are my favorite but I miss the drones too. ( not the crappy ones )

You need to go back a ways. They have had a few helicopters on their channel. Even the 230 if I remember right. I know because every time they review stuff, I end up buying one. My latest is the Turbo Timber UMX. These kids keep costing me money. lol. They are not even mine( Well, kinda) I met them at their place once, we really hit it off. They live a full days driving away from us. Now it's almost impossible to go that way any more.
