@@Locojoe Yes, Sir. Upper 50's and low 60's, coupled with 20-30 mph winds. Today is supposed to be more of the same, and then tomorrow is cools back down. And still no snow, or rain.
Good to hear. I do have the same set up on a couple other bikes. I just kinda like the old school basket look with the handlebar mount and the struts/braces. I do think this way is more ideal though. Thanks!
I always enjoy the stem/handle bars segment… but I can see how you could get fed up with it. I have one of those sunlite brand front racks. Cheap and effective. I really like it. I think I have it in use as a rear rack at the moment.
Yeah handlebars are tough. Really need to ride each one to know but that can be a hassle especially when making a video. I have used that small front rack and basket combo on a couple other bikes. It really is a better deal. Basket sits lower and much easier to adjust stem height or make handlebar swaps. Thanks Josh!
6:00 Maybe you’ve already explained this, but how do you extend handlebars? Shortening them seems simple enough, but extending them seems a bit more challenging. Are you welding them?
I cut segments off another handlebar and on steel handlebars I am welding them. On aluminum I use JB Weld. Both cases I insert a smaller diameter tube inside the bars and extension. They do make handlebar extenders that work similar to a quill stem.
Looks good...my schwinn impact is a great bike...really like it...not my everyday rider, but ride it frequently...mines stock except I've added a girvin flex stem different bars and schwalbe billy bonkers and a different saddle
Thanks. Yeah that rack and basket combo is really ideal. I’m debating on a rear rack as I do like to have at least one bike around with a rear rack and currently I don’t (other than my Salsa which I don’t ride regularly). The saddle came from Ali Express or the like.
Super nice build, would really like to see you in the Cheap Bike Build off! 👏👏👏
Thanks! We'll see about the build-off. I need to go read the rules.
Nice build Randy! I like that black and brown theme.
Thanks Mario.
Loving this colour combo! Looking slick. Just needs a blue (fresh!) bungee cord to go with the grips :)
Thanks! I did just happen to put on a blue bungee. I've already changed out the grips lol.
Nice build. Love the short rack and basket. Great tire and bar choices also.
Thank you I appreciate you watching and your input.
Hey Randy,
I love your total rebuilds, they really help me with my own. Keep up the great work!
That basket looks really good on there like that.
Thanks. Even though like I mentioned I like the looks of the old school handlebar mounting with the struts, this way is really ideal.
She looks like a solid build! Hope it rides well. Take care and have a great week, you two!
Thanks. You getting the spring-like weather out there?

Nice build Randy, those frames are comfortable rides.

Makes a nice Cruiser!
Yes, thanks.

Great as always, Thanks!
Thank you!

Thanks. Yours sounds cool especially with the stem. I also like the Billy Bonkers.
Rad build!
Thank you!
Im late but great build as always..🚴♀️🚴♀️
Cool build….I like the small front rack. Maybe add a rear rack too? What brand / model seat? (Brooks knockoff).
Thanks. Yeah that rack and basket combo is really ideal. I’m debating on a rear rack as I do like to have at least one bike around with a rear rack and currently I don’t (other than my Salsa which I don’t ride regularly). The saddle came from Ali Express or the like.
Hey Randy are you this year partaking in the cheap bike build off?.
Wasn’t planning on it. Maybe I’ll go take a look at the rules. Thanks.
