    That advice was given for those who have inappropriate responses to stress. Stress drives adaptation and too little of it can lead to lack of arousal.

    A professor that I took a course on said cortisol it self may not be the "stress hormne" and said that newer research is suggesting cortisol is what the body gives as a response to stress, to fight the stress. But still it does mean cortisol and stress level does correspond but that was a total mindfuck

    Honest criticism here, not trying to hate because I LOVE this channel.
    My man, you need to script out your words when talking about a topic like endocrine system. I'm only 1:03 in and following your breakdown is very hard because it's all over the place. You need structure to a lesson plan/lecture like this.
    Thank you as always for the content.

    Got it - walk in the early AM and in the evening. Cut back on inflammatory food types. Decrease workout intensity and/or frequency along with a caloric deficit to help produce the cortisol. I would add that the biological processes here are always striving for equilibrium so if you jam up a result like removing too much cortisol (as Tony mentioned) you can foul the entire process and create imbalances that are not beneficial for your metabolism. This was a very good quick view of Cortisol and its cycle in the body! Thanks very much.

    I heard matt wenning talk about keeping training sessions only an hour long because longer sessions make the body produce more cortisol, thoughts?

      @Tonymontgomeryjr 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Research shows that the people who tend to produce the most cortisol per acute bout of training adapts and grows the most. So as long as the work gets done thats the most important part timeframe is not.

    • @Oho159

      maybe. xanax is probably heavy on internal organs like kidneys and liver

      Well if you really need it, take it. But only if you are under stress that is unavoidable, not the "spinclass" type. Lol

    • @mistermister1366
      @mistermister1366 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@joebot9309 It can cause some problems, and that's why you need to be careful with meds. I would recommend klonopin or valium over it. But they are still addictive. But if your brain is "burning" from stress its better than SSRIs in my own experience, and if you can get some quality medicinal herb - nothing beats that because 0 side effects. You can get a panic attack if you overdo it though.
