Argh holy crap - I really wanted to "service" my old Aspire reel, but think I fail getting all these parts back to their right spot.. Great vid for the dissemble thou thanks
Possibly the best question! I don’t think you can find them unless you contact Shimano service center; Fishsitefeedback@shimano.com (USA) - 1-17-17 Oomori-minami, Oota-ku, Tokyo 143-0013, Japan Phone: +81-3-3744-5656 / Fax: +81-3-3745-1210
Some people put ketchup. That is in my mind a big No. WD-40 is a NASA development product and stands for ‘water displacement formula 40’. I think ketchup is worse. One should use products for their intended use and stay true to facts! Good luck.
That's a good point. But only if you leave it on, like, using it as a lubricant. Best way is to wipe it off after few minutes, just to get some rust or surface dirt off. Then, apply grease or lube.
This has certainly put me off servicing my reels.. Didn't realise they had so many small parts..
I had no idea they had that many parts for their rear drag designed reels. I wonder how the modern IX series compares. Thanks for the video.
Send them back to Shimano for the service , saves the stress,,😮

Tricky. Takes awhile but once you are done, it feels good!
Is the jammed drag on baitrunner function difficult to repair. 6010 Shimano GT?
Easy, just make sure you line up all the parts as you take it apart.
I was having a panic attack watching you do that, how the hell do you put that back together
I also had a panic attack when I saw all the parts in front of me !
Taking apart and never putting together again is not the same as servicing .
- How are you goding to service it if you don’t know how to take it apart? Spray something on the outside? Please post your video.
@@Ken_SwedenYes, but you could have names the video "how to disassemble shimano reel".
