I am one of those blinks that came across Blackpink when I am at my lowest, and depressed but their song just make me keep going, makes me feel empowered and was able to survive those trials and was able to see them performed live when they went to my country for a 2-day sold out concert, it was one of my happiest day ever

DUA LIPA is British but now she's also famous in the US.
Ms. Lipa gave this song to Jennie &Lisa at her concert in SEOUL, so it was in English when Lipa wrote it (originally) for herself but later on Jisoo rewrite some parts in Korean.🇹🇭

Dua Lipa was the first artist to reach out to BlackPink for a collaboration! Jennie and Lisa went to her concert in Seoul and met with her after the concert and Dua Lipa was so impressed with them she told them she would like to collaborate with them and a year later she found this and the rest was history!

"Blackpink Diaries" documents their first world tour. In one of the episodes of Blackpink Diaries, Dua Lipa joins Blackpink for a live performance of this song( Newark show).
I watched a Blackpink related video every day during the pandemic lockdown. Rose, by the way, did admit that she watches reaction videos on you tube.
Cool that they did a version live with Dua Lipa. And we don't expect anyone we react to will actually ever watch us, but Coach can dream. LOL
Blackpink really made a lot of Blinks get over hard times... And I am one of them. I discovered BLACKPINK during the time I am almost at the edge because of depression that I've been battling for years. But when I discovered them, I felt instant strength, positivity and love through their story, music and individually unique personalities.
I owe these amazing women so much including my new perspective and view in life. Others might not understand it but I know many Blinks would relate. Their hardwork and genuine personality inspired me a lot to be strong even at times of weakness.
Currently, from that lonely depressed woman on the edge of saying goodbye to this world...I survive my darkness through hardwork. As a result, I am now working as a hotel supervisor, enjoying life and meeting new people each day. So many hard times at work and personal life but since having Blackpink and their music, and with family and real friends surrounding me, I know I'll get over it all😊

The staging and background setting is very AUSTIN POWERS!!! They are in FULL ON Rock star mode here. Their performances are so alluring that you really don't need subtitles. And again, this is from their Tokyo Dome shows, which were some of their most outrageously fantastic performances ever. It was a point on that tour when everything was working, every audience was on point. And these were some of their largest crowds.

Another great reaction. The reason Tokyo Dome is recommended is because it was planned from the start to be a DVD, so the camera work and audio are as good as it gets for a live performance. Still, Korean camera work is odd - a LOT of long distance shots. Like, we'd actually like to be able to see the performers. But, you get used to it.
I see people recommending you watch Blackpink Diaries (I know this type of thing is in the eventual future) but I'd strongly urge you to start with Blackpink House because that's where you get to really know the girls. It makes Balckpink Diaries so much more enjoyable, since you know who they are, and it goes along with your going in order plan. Meanwhile, you're going great, and just keep doing things how you want. As long as you're enjoying yourselves, you'll get there eventually.

Actually when u listen to it of course it's more of Dua Lipa's song style coz this came from her and Blackpink just made Korean verses to add some of their own. They collaborate because she's one of the biggest pop star in the world and so as Blackpink. Well, we're not disappointed because this is such a great song to begin with. They nailed it. ✨️

I agree with you, I've always been a die hard Rock and Roll fan myself. I never cared for Country music, rap, or pop, but there is something about Blackpink that just hits just right, heck, I even now look forward to Lisa's and Jennie's raps raps and the angelic voices of Rose' and Jisoo. Nobody does it like Blackpink, that includes American or Kpop groups they just have the "it" factor. Also, in my opinion Ice-cream with Selena Gomez is the best calibration the did. The other ones I feel the "featured artist " kinda dominated the song's and treated Blackpink as backup singers, just my opinion!

I love this song. I remember listening to this song for the first time and actually thinking the makeup part was about actual makeup. Like kiss and then makeup (what you put on your face). Then i had to actually look at the lyrics to understand it was a different type of makeup.

Lullaby of Silence by Jenia Lubich(Russian singer-songwriter). I first heard this song from a Russian movie called I am Dragon (I think the movie and song are both great). Their is an english version to this song if you don't want to listen to the Orignal Version. I think the original version is better, but that is just my preference. Alone with you by Phebe Starr(Australian singer-songwriter). I first heard this song from a movie called A Million Happy Nows ( I also think both the movie and song were great).
Another fun live performance. It must be so hard learning to sing in a language not your own, and getting not only the pronunciation but also the inflection right. Not only English, but also Japanese!.
The level of brainpower that must take is seriously impressive. One of the BabyMonster we filmed today that will air later in the week showed one of the girls not speaking Korean at all, and had to learn that, and English, and learn to dance and sing, all while going to school. It's amazing their dedication and work ethic.

I found blackpink in 2020 during covid a little after how you like that came out.. I was there when their first album dropped but pink venom was my first official comeback. I saw them last year around this time November 3rd and I can’t believe it’s been a year!!! I love these girls and want the best for all of them. (P.s. Rosè bias)

I discovered blackpink after watching a randome fan made video of lisa "8 reasons why lisa is the best dancer." It was the name of the video and it was showing on my feed for days and finally I decided to watch amd it was the best decision I have ever made. Because of her I found bp, k drama and basically k pop. I just love lisa to the moom and back, she motivates me to be the best version of myself and still stay in touch with your roots... never seen a idols being so close to her culture, old friends and family. Her plans start with the happiness of her family and she respects everyone around her... sorry for typing such a big unconnected comment but I just wanted to share this....

I'm a fan of heavy metal, but strangely, I also find that I'm attracted to the energy and music in Blackpink songs, and I'm also attracted to Rosé's unique vocal timbre. It was her covers on the TV show, Sea of Hope, that pulled me into Blackpink. However, I'm not a fan of most k-pop, although there are some songs that I do like, from Stray Kids, G-idle, and New Jeans, to name a few.
It's amazing how they appeal to so many people. Some more (G)I-DLE coming on this channel tomorrow, by the way.
