Jisoo is my bias as well. She is the youngest of three children in her family, but the oldest of Blackpink. She took a lot of disrespect early in Blackpink's career because she was often perceived as the least talented because her strengths were not utilized in the early productions as much as the others. She is famous for having once said that she doesn't read the comments and that if just one person liked her, that would be enough. Over time, her talent and strength of character has lifted her to the prominence that she deserves. Amazing vocals. Positive personality. Accomplished actress. Leadership. Nurturing nature. She is a lovely person inside and out.

I think that this is just an amazing performance. One woman on a bare stage, no backing track, no back-up dancers no loud instrumentals, singing a traditional Japanese song to a crowd of over 50,000 Japanese people in Japanese, and she was completely relaxed and having fun. That's the kind of song where, if you make a mistake, everybody hears it, yet it was flawless. She did this as a Christmas gift for Japanese Blinks. This type of thing is why Blinks love her, but the other girls do things like this as well, and it's why Blinks are so loyal to Blackpink. There's so much fan service that goes on with Kpop groups, which is another reason that Kpop keeps growing in popularity. If I tried to do this, I would be completely discombobulated.

Yuki no Hana is a traditional Christmas song for the Japanese. It is about being with someone as the weather turns cold.
BlackPink's light stick is shaped as a toy hammer. The ends are heart shaped and lights in pink color. It is the only light stick which makes a squeaking sound when you hit( your friend?) with the hammer and was the first light stick to make a squeaking sound when so stuck. The group went on a variety show as rookie and Jennie was hit on the head with a giant toy hammer, which also squeaked, as punishment. They said this was their inspiration in the designing their own light stick.

It amazes me that Jisoo didn't originally want to become a singer. She only went to YG to audition as practice for her drama class. A few weeks later she knocked back an offer to train with SM another big entertainment company that specialises in vocal heavy groups.

She is known as the mom of the group and although she has her playful and goofy side she cares the most for her members and blinks.if i am not mistaken the members once said they only seen her cry when jennie hurt her ankle and still performed and also when lisa won at the Vmas in 2022 she had tears in her eyes and said she felt like a proud mother.

I just love this performance from Jisoo! It always brings a little tear. (a lot of tears the first time I heard this) By the way, the Blackpink lightstick doesn't change colors, but it can change from solid to blinking light. I bought one at the concert I attended last year. It's like a hammer with two heads both in the shape of a heart, that are squishy and when you hit them, they squeak!
When she was performing with the group, she was one of the girls. Here, she's a woman with a mature presence, expertly demonstrating her vocal skills. A beautiful mature voice, with that very slight huskiness that gives it extra depth. I love it!
The fact that Blackpink's contract has expired, and they have yet to indicate whether they're going to seek to negotiate a new one, has now reached the national news over here in the UK....

Many Koreans currently in late 20s - early 40s love this song because a famous Korean ballad singer Park Hyoshin made a Korean version of this song and that was a huge hit. The original singer of this song is Nakashima Mika from Japan.

I just returned home from visiting my first Granddaughter (3 months old) in Tennessee so I was in your neck of the woods last week. this is my favorite cover from Jisoo. It is a Japanese song and she sung for the Japanese Blinks at Christmas time during their for concert tour back in 2018. Yes, you pronounced it correctly and I think it means Snowflower. The Blackpink lightstick called "Pil-Pyong Bong" aka "Hammer Stick" is a heart shape hammer. The color of light can be controlled through their apps that u need to download & install on ur phone. It can change color following the beats of any Blackpink songs. But the best part is it "squeak" if u whack it on the haters forehead! 🤣

Blackpink's lightstick is a black and pink hammer which squeaks when you bop someone on the head. but you are correct in that the head(s) of the hammer are indeed hearts. most fun lightstick in kpop.

I would just like to point out something that may not have been mentioned to you. Jisoo is Korean, We OBVIOUSLY know that. This is a Japanese Language song (and if I got this right, didn't this performance happen at the Tokyo Dome?). LOTS of Japanese people say they barely heard her Korean accent in her Japanese singing, here. She did awesome!
BEAUTIFUL song in the first place, so well-written, but then we get our Angel singing it...I still get tears when I hear it. She really just wants Peace On Earth and the song lyrics basically make it a romantic love song. It's so great!

Few can pull this simplistic yet powerful performance off. In Korea, IU and BoA among a few. IU is the queen of such performances but you cannot compare a soloist like her with Jisso regardless. So that puts Jisoo in a really good spot. Love her voice.
