Pretty amazing!" Has me wondering if a plane (or quad) could do a "loiter-based follow" by having it's loiter point track (regularly updates) to track another craft at safe distance and altitude differential. Camera POV tracking the object of focus. Many fun possibilities in both cases. Thanks for the inspiration to go research this. Look forward to seeing what you do next with Autonomous Follow mode.
Awesome video, but its not really true Autonomous tracking as its just aiming at vehicle #2's gps coordinates no? If the plane was to lose GPS signal the tracking would stop
@@timtheplaneman True its autonomous in a sense, but you are still feeding the gps coordinates as an input, its not finding it by itself, but don't get me wrong its great to have these methods documented and proven as it helps build knowledge in the area. I would love to see you test it with two fixed wings if possible?
Very Cool Tim!
Thanks mate!

Interesting question. I'm about to do some experiments. Stay tuned (Subscribe!) for updates.
♥👍👍
This is not autonomous tracking as title stating or loitering tracking, this require other plane GPS to be able to track, i.e. not autonomous.
@@hradynarski autonomous: ""denoting or performed by a device capable of operating without direct human control."
Very amazing, thank you...
Stay tuned for more!
Let’s see it in the air Tim. ❤
I know, I know! I have done it actually but the drone couldn't keep up with the plane haha. I'm setting it up to work with two planes.
I look forward to it.
This is what I have been waiting for.

I think autonomous means no manual control. What is your definition?
