@fanatic_joka its about the journey not the destination my friend. Pushing a Dolphin is another story i did 36km on a 6800mah battery. That plane is soooo efficient but 10.000 is going to bring you faaaaar out man!
An excellent flight demonstration. I'm currently using a D3536 1200KV motor couple with a 40Amp ESC [The same combo that came in my Mini Talon PNP] in my UAV Talon Pro. I take it you are using a different motor/esc combo?
Hello. Really nice flight I enyojed it like I was flying it myself. I have one question tho, do you use a seperate AutoPilot Board like the MFD Crossbow or something else? I currently don‘t come very far like 5km, thats all my walksnail does at the moment, but when I upgrade to better antennas or analog, is an autopilot board like that essential? LG
@tiefseetaucherr yes and no its pure the antenna's, vtx and vrx. We need some filtering from a flightcontroller or external filters to get a clean feed bit overthinking doesnt bring you anywhere. Its just start and try stuff out.
Another Marvelous CGI flight! Can you please share how you get such extremely good video range, PLEASE? What are you doing that I am not? I'm using a VAS side feed blue beam antenna on the plane, Flywoo 1.3ghz 1258 2W VTX, and on the ground a pepperbox by VAS, notch filter for 900mhz by TBS, and a VAS pepperbox 1.3 antenna on a tripod, about 10 meters away from my other equipment, with a 5.8 repeater to my GCS. How to get more video range? I'm topping out at only about 30-40km.
@FPVREVIEWS maybe there's rf noise or interference in your area? Sometimes the ground plate from the antenna goes out of tune because the tripod or whatever is touching it. You could start with raising the groundstation from the ground and when the image improves you got a backplate ground problem. You also could detach the antenna while flying and see what happens. Man i did 67km on simple hobbyking clovers.
@@itsnotme1295 I'll try that, thanks! I do have a metal tripod. and it is very close to the ground plane of the antenna, so maybe that is the problem. Would that not be incredible if I could just make a wood extension, or PVC, and solve it. Appreciate the suggestions!
When is used my biquad i did out some 40mm foam pads inbetween the antenna and the groundstation. I had a glassfiber but that still pulled the antenna out of tune. A biddy had the same problem and could not pass the 20k mark. After solbing this he was battery limited haha. The most simple solutions solve the biggest problems. Let me know im really curious of this solves your range problem.
@@itsnotme1295 I'm taking your suggestions seriously, and changing my setup for the video RX antenna/ receiver mounting. I have some questions. I have a VAS pepperbox antenna. it has a ground plate. I had a RMRC mounted directly to the SMA connector on the back of the antenna with a support bracket, and a TBS 1.3 notch filter in-between. Should I get them further from the back of the antenna plate by using an SMA coax extension? or leave them, and get the ground plate away from he tripod mount. Im planning on using a piece of foam, (60mm thick) to mount the antenna ground plate, and substitute my aluminum mounting tripod with a wooden one. does this sound right? how tall should I make the mount? I also have a 5.8ghz repeater, and I'm imagining I should mount it a ways away from the 1.3 antenna. This is so I can set it all up 10-20 meters from my ground station, to reduce interference from the Crossfire system. Thoughts? Thx for your time!
@@itsnotme1295 WELL, It was a major factor. I was limited to 20km, and I took your recommendations regarding separation of the antenna from the tripod, also mounted it on a foam block, as you mentioned. and I set a personal record of 33km, but that was the limit of the video. It was very fuzzy by then. a big improvement. Thanks for the help and knowledge.

@@itsnotme1295 I am building a setup for an aerostat, and it should go 100 km away from the base station. I want to receive a video signal from it. Currently, my plan is to build a 13 dBi helical antenna for the base station and a cloverleaf omni antenna for the aerostat. I've done link budget calculations and I am barely getting -83 dBm of receiving power with a 4W transmission power, while the declared sensitivity for receivers like RMRC is -85 dBm. Now, I am looking to increase the transmission power up to 8W and searching for a receiver with a sensitivity of -90 dBm or lower. However, you mentioned that you were using vertical polarization instead of circular polarization, and that your power output was 350mW, which makes me question whether I really need all of this for my setup.
