I think you will look back at these videos and be happy you documented the adventure...that being said...I'll stick with a backpack and snorkel 😅. Even a surfboard is too much work to travel with anymore for me.
Really good stuff and good on you. We have a Sun Odyssey 40 (2003) and sail/race in Commencement Bay (Tacoma) and take a summer cruise north, spending most of our time in the Gulf Islands. Your LaConner bridge experience has been shared MANY times...I know my math and it is still very exciting. Looking forward to more of your adventures. Dave Stromquist S/V Stardust.
These videos make me so happy, even though they’re a year old it makes me feel connected to you guys again. I so hope that I can make my plans work and come see y’all and Rich next year.
We were so eager, the cold wasn’t that bad but now that we have had a taste of summer desolation sound and the gulf islands, a little tougher hearing up for the snowy sail days. lol
Aha...the mystery is now solved! I never could find out who fixed my mooring lines. Thank you so very much. The "lockdowns" made it impossible to tend to everything )-: Keep up the great work with your vids.
Hey Scott, was thinking back to that during editing and hoping you’d be ok with it. Even tried to google your boat but didn’t find it. Will keep an eye out for you on the water.
What an adventure! So cool and thank you for sharing. Your videos make sailing look so peaceful but it’s also a lot of work. Have you ever taken time to appreciate what it would have been like hundreds of years ago when they would sail the seas with no comforts of today? Serious bravery and skill. Keep the videos coming. This land lovers enjoys watching from my comfy warm and dry couch.
Hi Kit! Thanks for your comment. Yes definitely something I think about - especially when we are anchored in areas with large tidal shifts and rocky outcrops. The early explorers on the west coast were a serious bunch. Technology and Chris’ understanding of the wind and waves definitely make it easier for me 🍻
Great video guys! Quite the cold passage to get north. Nice touch at the end to get us all up to date. Looking forward to some buddy boating this summer!

He was using words I've never heard before!😂
Thanks Kit, appreciate the kind words and yes, it is not lost on me the challenges of sailors even 25 years ago had let alone hundreds.

Yes! Let’s plan a trip 👍
