I absolutely adore this. I really wish SE would implement at least one alt job "skin" per job. There are some which aesthetic i just can't can't get into (reaper mainly) and wish the visuals looked different. playing with effects off is also no fun. Awesome job!
I feel that with the Reaper so much. Got into modding because of it and made my own Reaper mod to fix this issue. With a bit of creativity and work you can create lovely things
Back when RPR came out, I saw two mods (that I still use) - one is "Forgiven Reaper" that replaces everythin dark and broody with cream/yellow/white color scheme of the Sin Eaters of the First. Paired really well with that is the "Sin Eater Enshroud" that replaces broody boy with Forgiven Obscenity. My headcanon being that I still carry around some of that excess Light Aether from the first, and it "taints" the dark-aspected pact. Ardbert helps me control it, but it still needs to be "bled off" so I don't turn into a Sin Eater permanently. I might change it if I find a VFX pack I really like though, so I'll have to see what other people have cooking.
I love the idea for an alternate DRK is a Floral Knight, and I'm feeling it pretty hard but my only two complaints is: most of the animations don't carry the momentum through like the DRK animations do and the greatsword looks lighter than what it is. Pollen Burst is great though.
@@viysnjor4811 this is true, something annoying about video games in general is how they treat greatswords such like big ol slabs of iron when really they are actually quite nimble and graceful weapons.

Before Endwalker released I had a dream where the Lvl 90 Paladin ability made their sword and shield glow and split in half, and it upgraded their melee 1-2-3 combo to deal more damage while PLD dual wielded the half-sword/half-shield in each hand. When I saw Brandish at 3:08 I couldn't believe it! You made it look just as cool as in my dream, even though it's for a different job haha!

There comes a point when one goes so deep into the edge your aesthetic loops around to Kawaii Flowers of Death. You're still a goth, emo, or punk but instead of nihilism you hit existentialism and decided to be that one dandelion in the concrete thriving with a bright beautiful yellow flower or in this case pink
Amazing mod! Can't wait for the recolors. Speaking of, the Flood of Darkness skill in 2.0 doesn't seem to work, as well as for the other re-colors and the usual pink floral. Although, there seems to be a VFX for Flood of Darkness in 3.0.

I love the visuals and everything you've put into this. However I have one small issue and thats with the idle animation, if you go into any cutscene where you draw your weapon the character snaps into place unnaturally. Other animation mods like Alter Paladin Skill Remake has different idle poses that move like normal in cutscenes.
Not sure if I messed up or something while installing this, but I had it during Endwalker, then after Dawntrail when Dalamud came back up, all my Dark Knight action names changed back to the modded versions even though Penumbra still isn't up. Anyone else have this problem or know what causes it? EDIT: I'm dumb, figured this out like five minutes after posting it. Namingway was handling the name changes, not the VFX mod itself. So when Dalamud came back Namingway replaced the names again. Leaving this up for posterity.

I think what will likely happen is when Floral Blitz gets updated following Dawntrail's release, you can expect to see the color variations with that.

is there a way to stop this mod from changing living shadow's animations, so that esteem uses normal drk animations vs my floral animations? i suspect the answer's no, but i figured i'd ask
Wasn't there an option that could change the color of the affects? I swear I remember there being one because I wanted the blue coloration. Also, I don't know why but Living Shadow isn't being affected by the mod
There was in the previous version, yeah. That version is still up (version 2.0) Because of how lengthy of a process it is to do the recolors, it's not something I'm doing for this newest version yet until after I update it for Dawntrail. For Living Shadow, make sure that your character's Esteem NPC is added to you're character's individual collection in Penumbra in order for it to function.

Instant install for me! Flora Blitz has reignited my adoration for DRK. Only trouble I'm having right now though is that the custom skill icons aren't working for me :(

Not a fan of the 1 handed walking and running animations; they don't fit the big two handed sword DRK has. Other then that though, this looks amazing. Very pretty, and I like how vicious some of the animations are. Magnifica is my favorite for that reason, with Floral Edge being close behind. If I modded FFXIV, I think I would use this.

i feel the exact opposite for base dark knight lol, greatswords are very surprisingly light, but in ffxiv they treat it like a warhammer
