I’m a deliveries associate and i can surely say that some people order half the store in one bopis. Usually in when we have deliveries/will calls, they are bigger items such as 200 sheets of drywall/lumber which is very time consuming. At my location, we are expected to load as well which makes our department the hardest in my opinion. You’re constantly on you’re feet. Joe D. They asked questions regarding difficult situations you’ve had to deal with in your life, situations where you had to pay close attention to detail, what you think your strong suits are, etc. Just 5-6 questions like that
Today. I received a offer from home depot regarding this job opportunity. I am watching your video. Thank you for sharing your thoughts and experiences.
Today's my second day in OFA and im kinda nervous because I don't really know where items are but at the same time my team is pretty helpful, I just hate strapping down orders for delivery
Yeah it took me a couple weeks to get a good idea of where most things are in the store. That just comes are you pick more and more orders. And yeah, wrapping and strapping orders for delivery was one of my least favorite parts of the job 😂
Hey! I see this comment is a year old. Did you like it? Are you still there? I got called in to be and associate for the position. Do you think it's good for a small women to do??
You described the job very well, im two months in now. My store is super short staffed on delivery associates so the job is very demanding. I imagine if we had more employees the job would be way more enjoyable
seems a different experience depending on location, my experience was absolutely horrible, bullies on staff; management had to be complacent of it as there was many complaints, safety gets thrown out the window when ever a supervisor or manager felt like it, if you stand up for yourself you will not be working there much longer
I am an order fulfillment associate. Most of the time I have to pretend I am doing something because there is like three of us at any one time and maybe one order every half hour. I go help customers most of the time. I get myself in some stupid situations like having to get a pallet out of the overhead in the middle of the day. lol.

Man I’m a delivery associate and my shit is 3-12 and no one is there with me past 6. So 6 six hours getting orders from receiving, from the back aisles, bopis and delivery’s. It’s tough but you kinda have to get them done cause people depend on you to get them done. I wouldn’t say it’s pressure. But it gets you anxious to get stuff done. I would say the things I like most was you have “more” freedom to move around than a specific department. You can go outside walk around etc. having a good team with you that you can get stuff done and fuck around at the same thing is amazing. My store specifically has a lot of people that have the same mindset and all the dark jokes. The things I hate most though is how if you don’t get stuff done or someone from the shift prior didn’t do anything and then you are loaded having to carry and then get held accountable cause your by yourself for 6 hours trying to get everything done does start to make you not want to work cause it’s just unfair. I have 5 people on my team 3 full time 2 part time.

There’s nothing to be nervous about! It won’t take long for you get the swing of things and get to know everybody. Plus, you and the team have the whole store to yourselves for the night shift so it’s a lot more lax.
There’s no specific location for the delivery department, you kind of work all over the store. On my first day I just checked in with my manager and she linked me up with a staff member that trained me for the day. Otherwise, I would go in, get a phone, and get to work.

Deliveries is lowhand the best job in the store. I used to be lumber and I quit because of shortstaff, overwork, costumers, etc and they call me back and offered me deliveries, havent left since.
Be careful, my mom was a cashier for 8 years at Home D. people are sneeky and try to stick other items inside of pipes, boxes etc. and store security can see you from the cameras.
So long as you aren’t waiting long to be brought in for the interview, I’d say the interview process won’t take longer than about half an hour. They may ask if you want to begin watching your training videos right after the interview but if you’re busy you can schedule another time to come back.
So I sent my application and got an email saying I’ve been picked to move to the next step and I had to click a link to answer a few questions. After I did it said it was reviewing. Then later I got an email saying they reviewed my info and would like to offer me the job and it had a link and said to click it to accept the job but when I clicked on it and put my last name and zip code, it said the same thing as the last email saying they are reviewing it so it was the same link. @@IsthtNoel the link ended up working but said they didn’t need anyone in that position and they did end up sending another email and I answered the questions then it said that they didn’t need me or sum so I gave up
Good clip brother! I'm getting ready to apply there. You said you worked 9 to 6, so you got an hour lunch? and is lunch paid or do you have to clock out and in? And I know you can't say what store you were in but can you say what state you were in? Thanks and good luck to you as well.
Yeah you with need a special license/certification for it. I’m not sure about specifics but your management will better be able to explain what you have to do. From what I’ve heard, it’s not a long or difficult process
your ASDS will issue online training courses for it, you can ask for which ever ones you wish to be certified on (reach truck, forklift, order picker, electric pallet jack, pacer) and then after you have taken the courses you would partner with an equipment trainer in your store and they will have you drive around and move some pallets and then if you do good they'll sign off on your checklist and your ASDS will give you a license.
@@zl707hp no it doesn't. I am licensed on all of the machines and I am a trainer, and they didn't give me a dime. however! if you can acquire enough skills for your managers to think you're valuable they will give you a raise, you just have to ask for it. if you want more money you either have to climb the ladder to management or work hard and demand more money. there was one women in my department who had been with the company for 22 years as an OFA and she made more money that all of the supervisors. if you have skills and tenure then you become very valuable. there is a lot to learn and most new hires are completely worthless because they are still too green to work alone. also the longer you stay with the company the better the benefits get. they stopped doing it awhile ago but I think they just reinstated it, so if you stay with the company for 10 years they give you like $5k cash and 20 years they give you $10k cash and then it's like $5k for every 3 years after that. they also give you boat loads of vacation time. if I wanted to I could disappear for a month and a half and still get paid for it because I have so much vacation time. home depot is a great company to start a career because there is so much potential there. even if you don't aspire to anything if you stick with the company long enough they'll take care of you.
Ayo, when you was working this position, did you just drop off the order to another department or did you have to talk and be in charge of giving it to the customer? Id like to stay to myself and not talk as much as for my anxiety.
There were a few racks in a specific aisle where I would stage the order so more often than not, I wasn’t interacting with the customer. If the store was busy I did have to grab the orders and bring it to the customer but that only happened every now and then.
They asked questions along the likes of “what’s your greatest strength,” “when was a time that you stood up for what was right,” etc. I forget the exact questions but it was 4-6 questions about myself pretty much
@@PinkPunchh thanks for your reply they didnt ask me for anything although i just got the one interveiw still awaiting to see if i get called for the second
Yeah when I got hired I started full time so once I was done all of the training videos, my official first day of work was 9-5. I was with another associate for 1-2 hours while he showed me the ropes and then I worked the rest of a full day.
Be nice to customers don't be like most of the shitty employees with rude attitudes only there to collect a check but hate their job after all without customers we wouldn't had a job. Welcome to the family 👍
No that won’t be a concern. Of course there are some products that are heavy and you’ll need an extra hand with but most associates seem happy to help. Our store had order pullers of all ages (one in his 70s) and body types. You’ll be fine!
I was on the full time schedule so I was working 40 hours with the opportunity for overtime. Starting pay is $11 but from what I’ve seen, if you work hard and show that you’re interested in taking on more responsibility at the store, you’ll have the opportunity to make more
I have interview for order fulfillment associate and I just want to know like how much they pay an hour and how many hours do they give ! I use to work cruise 🚢 and they give me like 40 hours and $15 an hour.
My store was more than happy to have me working full time, so I don’t think it’ll be a problem working 40+ hours there. It’ll start at $11/hour. There’s also a covid bonus the more hours you work
Not to my knowledge, no, but depending on what department you’re in (lumber for example) it would be highly recommended to get your license asap to make your life easier
It depends. Back in the day when I was delivery puller I had to learn equipment before I could even try to get the job. These days with the new system they seem to not require it. In fact out of 5 pullers only two of us have licenses. The others don't. They are in no hurry to get licensed either.
While not required at some stores, I heavily recommend you start off getting a Ballymore Certification. The Ballymore Drivable Power Stocker Lift is a super, SUPER useful piece of equipment. If it's a heavy box that you can't get down with a rolling ladder, you're gonna wish you had a bally cert in order to get it down. I understand not being comfortable, but the Ballymore is a great piece of equipment to learn on, and it's pretty fun. It doesn't move fast enough to pose any serious danger, has many safety interlocks, and helps you build confidence in operating. If you can work up the mettle needed to get trained, I promise you'll likely appreciate the ballymore the moment you need to get down an item that's in the overhead.
you get discounts on stuff from other companies like cheaper phone bills and car insurance and special deals on stuff like computers and what not, but you don't get a home depot discount.

Deliveries is lowhand the best job in the store. I used to be lumber and I quit because of shortstaff, overwork, costumers, etc and they call me back and offered me deliveries, havent left since.
I work there but I’m a cashier being a cashier is hell
I've heard horror stories. My mom was a cashier at home depot and said the customers are rude.
@Brian David what the hell does that mean
That's why Home Depot has a cashier respect month 😭
Be careful, my mom was a cashier for 8 years at Home D. people are sneeky and try to stick other items inside of pipes, boxes etc. and store security can see you from the cameras.
11 an hour what??!! There paying me 15 an hour in texas.
Yeah it definitely wasn’t ideal. I’m sure they’ve increased the pay since I’ve left though to compete with everyone else in the area.
I have a job interview as well on Tuesday at 1:30pm, Also I have school coming tomorrow and I have spanish class this Tuesday at my college at 3:00pm
So long as you aren’t waiting long to be brought in for the interview, I’d say the interview process won’t take longer than about half an hour. They may ask if you want to begin watching your training videos right after the interview but if you’re busy you can schedule another time to come back.
@@anthonymurphy8458 when it comes with watching the training videos, is it online or in face-to-face.
They’re videos on the computer but you have to watch them on site at the store
@@CrisGarcia6 did they drug test ? If they did was it urine or swab test
@@Jenniferx-su6pw it should be a swab
So I sent my application and got an email saying I’ve been picked to move to the next step and I had to click a link to answer a few questions. After I did it said it was reviewing. Then later I got an email saying they reviewed my info and would like to offer me the job and it had a link and said to click it to accept the job but when I clicked on it and put my last name and zip code, it said the same thing as the last email saying they are reviewing it so it was the same link. What should I do?
Yo bro same thing with me and I was thinking on calling and letting them know ?
Did you figure it out or get any info about it ?

40 hours
Good clip brother! I'm getting ready to apply there. You said you worked 9 to 6, so you got an hour lunch? and is lunch paid or do you have to clock out and in? And I know you can't say what store you were in but can you say what state you were in? Thanks and good luck to you as well.
Yeah I had an hour of unpaid lunch. You have the option of picking a 30min or 1hr lunch. I was working in NJ! I’m glad you enjoyed the video!

In order to drive the forklift do you need to have a license? Or do you just need to learn how to drive it. How does it work
Yeah you with need a special license/certification for it.
@@ElectronicsForFun does this increase your pay by getting a license?
@@ElectronicsForFun Thank you for your time and reply 👍✌
Hey thank you for this video, I was wondering what could they ask you in your second interview ?
Ayo, when you was working this position, did you just drop off the order to another department or did you have to talk and be in charge of giving it to the customer? Id like to stay to myself and not talk as much as for my anxiety.
There were a few racks in a specific aisle where I would stage the order so more often than not, I wasn’t interacting with the customer. If the store was busy I did have to grab the orders and bring it to the customer but that only happened every now and then.
I have an interview in 5 hours do i have to bring anything?
I didn’t have to bring anything.
I’m actually got to do training today
i remember having to pick 2,000 pickets 😂
BOSS orders, DELIVERY, and WILL CALLS here were insane
That's just 7 bundles of pickets use the SDFL.
Its 13$ an hour in south carolina
I guess I’m moving to SC!
Started at $14.50 in PNW, covid bonuses then the perm raise bumped me up to nearly $17 ;p
It’s $13 in NewJersey also
16.50 an hr in Los Angeles for OFA. I'm guessing its the recent wage increases they made in November last year.

You should be good to work at 17 👍🏻
What would my daily hours be like as a part time worker?
Weekly or bi-weekly pay?
Biweekly
I feel that a lack of a union is a good thing!
good and bad, unionized companies take a chunk out of your pay for union dues, but it's harder for management to fire you.
Do you remember what questions they asked you
They asked questions along the likes of “what’s your greatest strength,” “when was a time that you stood up for what was right,” etc. I forget the exact questions but it was 4-6 questions about myself pretty much
Is this the same thing as pro fulfillment associate
Does this job have anything to do with cashier or anything to do with register
no, not order fullfillment.
how were weekends for part time?
I worked full time and had off on Sunday but Saturdays were the busiest day. It made the day go by faster though
what area is it under?? cause i’ve been trying to apply and i cannot find it!

did you have to bring anything to the interview? im nervous to just got a notice as well

Does warehouse associate or fulfillment have full time?
Yeah I worked full time as an order fulfillment assoc.
@@anthonymurphy8458 can you have fulltime on day 1?
Yeah when I got hired I started full time so once I was done all of the training videos, my official first day of work was 9-5. I was with another associate for 1-2 hours while he showed me the ropes and then I worked the rest of a full day.

do you or anyone know about an office associate? I have an interview for it but didn't apply for that position.
I’m not sure what that position is unfortunately

New Jersey
I can get get my schedule on any of the apps or website
Yes there’s an app called Workforce that you can sign into and it will have your schedule and you’ll be able to request off, etc. on it
Would you say the job would be hard for someone who is skinny and isn’t really built?
No that won’t be a concern. Of course there are some products that are heavy and you’ll need an extra hand with but most associates seem happy to help. Our store had order pullers of all ages (one in his 70s) and body types. You’ll be fine!
it's easier if you have some upper body strength but it should be much of a hindrance for you as long as you can endure the labor.
I do 12 push ups every day to keep my upper body strong.
How many hours and how they pay ?
There’s also a covid bonus the more hours you work
I they put me as order fulfillment associate but I want part time. I do not know about driving a forklift, I have never drive it
i hear its now atleast 17-20 idk@@anthonymurphy8458
Is it required to get certified in the various machinery? I don’t particularly feel comfortable operating them
Not to my knowledge, no, but depending on what department you’re in (lumber for example) it would be highly recommended to get your license asap to make your life easier
@@raeyner makes sense, thanks.

you get discounts on stuff from other companies like cheaper phone bills and car insurance and special deals on stuff like computers and what not, but you don't get a home depot discount.
