Thank you for comparing all these models, however you seem unfamiliar when discussing the cooling and VRMs. Zotac and FE have 7 phase VRMs while Palit and and Inno3D have 8 phase. Additionally the Inno3D has 5 heatpipes compared to the rest having 4, hence the better cooling. It would also be beneficial if you could test the maximum possible overclock on these cards or at least share how much their power limit can be increased. I know that the Palit has locked Power Limit..

btw your temp tests made on the f1 game are not representative of the actual product because in this case the GPU was at around 85% utilization, so not even maxed out
Thank you for the review! I Think the biggest strength of Nvidia vs AMD is the power efficiency, which i cant see here.
Should be right after cost/frame. I think over time Nvidia is the cheaper GPU cost/frame.
Would be interesting to calculate it with different Energy Prices. 0,10 - 0,35€/kwh. Would be a pretty Diagramm

I've bought a PNY 4070Super XLR8 (Triple fan). Since I live in a hot country (Brazil), I know there will be a difference of the temperature (compared to yours).
After run a Furmark V2, I got the same result as playing CP2077 at 1080P + Highest RT settings:
GPU: 79°C
Memory: 76°C
Hotspot: 97.8°C (!!!!)
should I return it? It have only 1 month old....

its insane to me that 6800 XT was released in 2020 for 650$ (and 3080 for bit more at same time) and in 2024 we got card that can barely beat it and have less VRAM 😶😶 and cost whooping 600$...

My how the graphics industry has grown. Damn you nvidia, they should've released these supers ages ago before I bought my 4070 ti. I completely skipped the 30 series upgrading from my ASUS 2070s which is still an awesome card today however, it shows it's age with some of today's more demanding game titles.

Great indepth review. £600 quid for 12 gigs, sorry thats a joke . and previous rtx 2000/3000 users have seen their cards performance erode due to misley 8gb/10gb. people want 16gb at 600 with a 256 bus. hence their not really flying off the shelfs. Happy with my REd Devils 7800 xt that i got for 539

As a 7800xt owner, I find myself using high settings over FSR if/when I need a little performance boost. To be completely honest, I can't see the difference in High to Ultra am I the only one?

So I did a calculation for the 4080 at 999 which the super will be and even adding 3 percent performance it's still way more cost per frame.

They are selling Palit Dual RTX 4070 Super here the same price as RTX 4070 of other brands. Well, the price for non super has not changed yet, and if they did it's just $40 off the price, which makes 4070S a much better buy with more than 10% increase in performance for $40-$60 increase in price. I am thinking RTX 4070 would drop to $450-$480 by the end of the year to make it more appealing since RTX 3080 10GB here (Philippines) cost around $430 used, and it's almost the same performance as RTX 4070 with much less power.

cost per frame is only good if the GPU can run the games at an acceptable level.

Something funny going on with these benchmarks vs those of Hardware Unboxed.
In what sense? The different systems we have? Different cards we test against? Or the different games and settings we use?
@@eTeknix No some of the same games, and as far as I can see the same settings. CPU and memory could be a bit different, but at 1440P I would think in most cases the GPU is the most important part. The RTX 4070 is a good bit faster than the RX 7800, even in none RT games and no upscaling (with a few exceptions).
Also I saw that the RTX 4090 in one of your benchmarks is slower than other cards at 1080P. I know Nvidia cards demand more from the CPU than AMD cards do, but the difference is even there against Nvidia cards from the same generation.

@@nossy232323 nah, no offence to hardware unboxed, but I have found their benchmarking to be very inconsistent. I have yet to see any benchmarks throughout any videos on the internet that has the 4070 super getting 97fps average 1440p ultra settings in cyberpunk. And that's just one example, there are tons. I've seen a lot more benchmarkers, who show gameplay and they're actually closer to eteknix results. But it's funny how none of you or any 4070 super owners upload any benchmarks to actually confront eteknix results. I super duper ti dare any of you to upload cyberpunk getting 97 FPS average at 1440p ultra. And no looking up to the sky either.

I think the 4070 Ti Super will be the sweet spot for higher end gaming.
i do too but unfortunately there are only two fan variants at the msrp and i've yet to see one be quiet.

Great 1080p RT gpu .....INNO3D is nice BUT Palit looks like 300$ GPU.
I see the rx 7800 xt is better than the rtx 4070 super in games that I don't play. cool.
7800xt is a beast and better buy if you cont care about RT, also if you play like me at UWQHD or 4k, 12gb aint enough. 4070s better buy if you play at max 1440p and care about RT.
Also AMD got driver based FrameGen which works great after the latest updates and gonna come to the official driver soon.
