I don't wish to knock this guy because everyone is entitled to an opinion. I just traded in my 2011 Kia Soul Exclaim. It had the 2.0 engine, and 14 in tires. It was a great car, and had plenty of get up, and go. The ride was pretty rough. I traded for a 2016 Soul a week ago getting the base with a few options. I have to say the difference between the two is like night and day. The 2016 had 16 inch tires, it is larger, and rides like a larger SUV. I now have the 1.6 engine and although I can tell the difference in the 2 engines, the 1.6 has no problem moving when you step on the accelerator. I would recommend this car to anyone.
The 1.6 with auto frequently goes on sale in Nor Cal for less than $13,000 - typically $12,888. I spoke with a driver who bought one at this price, and drove it up to Yosemite. I asked him about the 1.6 liter, combined with the 6-speed automatic, and he told me acceleration was fine, even up the hills - you just have to get used to using a little more throttle. Only the 1.6L Base ever gets blown on on great "ad specials" like that, so the real world pricing difference between the Base, Plus, and Exclaim is even more than the MSRP would lead you to believe - besides the rather substantial difference in Manufacturer Suggested Retail Price, you also have to take into account the fact that the Plus and Exclaim are never put on sale, but the Base _is._ So all in all the 1.6 Base has incredible value, especially when it goes on sale, but if you expect V6 acceleration - fuggedaboutit. You didn't talk about one super advantage - the short overall body length opens up a lot more parking opportunities than you would find with a longer car or SUV or CUV. The Kia Soul is only 3" longer than the very compact Honda Fit!
We just bought a 2016 Kia Soul+ yesterday for $17,300 out the door. Super nice car with Bluetooth, rear camera, USB, 6-Speed auto, 18" Alloy wheels, Etc. We got a unique White & red paint scheme that's pretty slick. We were looking to get a Nissan Versa but why when you can get a more upscale car like the Kia Soul for about the same money.
Just purchased one similar to this a month ago... LOVING IT!!! I've been wanting one for awhile now... it was nice to finally get my dream car all on my own! :D love the titanium grey color... get a lot of compliments on the color! I also love all the extras that can come with it too. A FUN car to drive!

I just got this car but I got the higher end one and it's red and black. It's extremely nice to drive compared to my old car and it has a surprising amount of power as it is the high end one.
The driver seat pads kill my legs and make my feet swell. But I do love my 2.0 Kia Plus. My dashboard light dimmer switch doesn't work. Not much I don't like of my Kia. For some odd reason since I have had my Kia. Once in awhile, when I accelerate from a stop. My car shoots out white smoke and I do mean thick white smoke. I pulled in right away into a parking lot. And my car was shooting white smoke as my car idled. The car stopped smoking 10 minutes later as the engine kept running while parked. I only have 15k miles on my 2015 Soul Plus. I hope there is nothing wrong with my car. 3 months after my purchase. Galpin Kia in Van Nuys closed. They no longer deal with Kia vehicles. So now I have to take my car to a Kia dealership located in Simi Valley. They will contact me soon they told me. Supposedly my Galpin warranty carrys over to any Kia dealerships.
I'm thinking of getting kie soul 2016 next month what do you recommend is it a good car 😊 cause I see like a lot of people love that car and I like how it looks 😊
hey.....this is my car......same trim & color....got it yesterday....18010.00 drive out,,,,6.25% tax in my state....I did get the upgrade 1095.00 for bumper to bumper 10 year 100,000 ml warranty...so total....19105.00....I also got 1.9% loan.....my old car I had for 18 years & 135,000 miles....... yesssssssss.....I love this car

I bought the plus model with the 18” wheels, 2.0 is very peppy.
