Alhamdulillah I'm grateful for being in whatever state Allah has kept me in. What happens when a woman totally looses any desire for sex after a menopause especially and is not able to be very excited about the act. This is a physiological thing that does happen. What is the solution to this issue in the light of our Deen. Age does cause limitations in all aspects of life and so in sex also, how should a husband react to this?
The couple could do some research on libido and natural ways to stimulate. Because sexual desire does have a lot to do with your diet, excercise and, especially for women, the hormonal system. There are also alot of books on this topic as well as on the female hormonal system. For instance, in one book I read that some women experience heightened sexual desires as they reach menopause. So, I would definitely not lose hope and do some research and try to work together as a couple on this. Ps. : there are also muslim counsellors you could turn to.
