- Bonanza Michael Landon Season 2 Episode 9 Breed Of Violence Classic Tv Shows 60s Full Episodes Bonanza Stars: Lorne Greene, Michael Landon, Dan Blocker Joe's friend Dolly Kincaid is the daughter of the sheriff and she's always getting caught up with the wrong crowd. When she gets close to Vince Dagen, Joe gets worried and tries to intervene. About the show: Set in Nevada in the 1860's, Bonanza chronicled the adventures of the Cartwright family who owned a large ranch called The Ponderosa. Ben Cartwright and his three sons, Adam, Hoss, and Joe fought for what was just and decent in a time where lawlessness was common. The widowed patriarch Ben Cartwright had three sons, each by a different wife: the oldest was the urbane architect Adam Cartwright, who built the ranch house. The second was the warm and lovable giant Eric, better known by his nickname Hoss. And the youngest was the hotheaded and impetuous Joseph or Little Joe. They all lived and worked on The Ponderosa. Nearby Virginia City helped populate the episodes with guest starring characters from all over America. Broadcast between September 1959 and January 1973. In real life Michael Landon was a whole different person, so his acting skills were superb!

Willie Kirby I had this on VHS twenty years ago and it had that theme music.
The theme song has a copyright on it, while I read that the show itself was put in the public domain. That means that if the theme song isn't removed, the video can/will be taken down for copyright violation. That's why the theme song was switched out, in order to keep the episode posted. That's why so many YT channels that carried Bonanza episodes, have them no more, since YT took them down.

My favorite episode is in Season 14 when Hoss finds out Ben killed his wives. Ben then kills Hoss so the secret doesn't get out.
