Good show with some morals taught for us kids in the 60s. Bonanza and Gunsmoke along with other shows had a lot of shoot-um-up yet us kids were not out shooting up schools. Good years back then.
Great! Social injustice will be justified by random, accident, or even revolution. The greatest accomplishment is all three elements outreached together which I can see the happening at this video. thumbs up~
Jed walker was played by William h Bassett he played a bad guy in this episode but in real life he is nice guy and he is funny person he is still living
Bonanza is always good to watch. The number of times Ben Cartwright and his sons have been shot, their bodies must be full of holes! The episodes are great. All the Cartwrights are long dead and Little Jo died in 1991 at the age of 54 of Pancreatic Cancer.
Very good episode.. thought Hoss n Candy would come in to town to help save the day but i ges it was more about the town sticking together to save themselves and Padre giving them faith.. Maria was beautiful and a good actress too..! And ol Lurch was ahhiite too.. lol 👍💪🍻🤠🤠 🙏
Good show. But I never heard of a cowboy leaving their horses behind. They left in a buggy but the buck and pinto were not tied to it to follow. Lol. BIG BLOOPER!!!!
May be when Little Joe was leaving with a buckboard the script left out them going to the livery stable to get their horses and tie them to the buckboard.
*SOUND REMEDY* If you use headphones, a secondary speaker or bluetooth device the sound works for some reason. Found that out a while ago and that's how I'm able to enjoy these.
You know looking at this, especially the very beginning, is a real character study of certain personality types. It takes a really small person to get offended because 1) someone doesn't know your name and 2) you think you're the sun everyone else's world revolves around. There are people like this. They don't own a town or anything to note but have the attitude that you're supposed to know and acknowledge them and your very existence is only to serve/placate them. These are people who have no real sense of personal worth - they build their value solely on how they're perceived by others. What a sad, little man.

The people of this world needs more shows like this these days !!!!!!
Ted Cassidy 6` 9" also played Lurch on The Addams Family
I was watching this episode in my mother told me the exact same thing that he was the Frankenstein off The Addams Family

Wow, this is a good one! I thought I'd seen them all but never seen this one!

Beautiful episode. Made me cry.
Around 2 min: ..."I know I'm not talking to you.." Ben carried his ponk butt 😁!
Not bad at all. Good acting and well written. Didn't know Michael Landon was that talented. Did a good job.

The character "Garth" is Ted Cassidy who played Lurch in the original Adams Family.
Good job my friend 😁

Maybe after Little Joes first horse was stabbed he stopped caring ??????????

"Lurch!"
I thought it might be, but then thought "nah, can't be." So I looked it up and sure enough, Garth IS Lurch.😂
Another great episode 💗
The topics Bonanza covered included insanity, shock, and sociopathy.
Hey was that Lurch?
Ben almost picked a fight with Lurch.
oh those high and mighty cartwrights , always picking fights with other people, who do they think they are?? them and their Ponderosa
Michael Landon was both an excellent writer and director--way too bad that he never made a full-length feature western.
it would have been little house

They were the 1960s western version of White Saviors helping out the less fortunate minorities.
How come the audio is so poor on a lot of these shows
Their vests must have been bullet resistant. They each have been shot in them, not a hole in any of them ever.
Very good quality leather vest, the best! Comes from Ponderosa cattle.

Bullies will always fall down and die!!
so how did the psycho magically get convicted of some crime and be in prison at the end ?
Bob Saturday.
It took me a year to contemplate that question and the answer is: he died on the street where he was shot.
Maybe the town had a list of all wrong doings from all his years of subjugation and were able to convict him.
garth is lurch from adams family
I think Zane Grey could have written a better ending.

All this because the Cartwrights couldn't mind their own business.

It wasn't the Cartwrights who couldn't mind their own business, it was the old guy who didn't mind his own business and he got killed for it!
