It was endearing to see Pia speed up her commentary as Anna's time was getting lower. The excitement in her voice is so heartwarming, you can tell she is a very proud mother. :)

The commentary from such a good player as Pia as she goes through the possible alternatives is just wonderful for my chess. Moves I would never have considered i'm now playing in my games and taking easy points off higher rated players. Thank you so much ❤

Everyone says it, but it’s true. Pia is simply the best commentator. Truly. And her excitement is infectious. Wonderful.
What I love about Pia's commentary is that she can spot and explain the likely lines together with *why* they work, as opposed to just reading computer evaluations the commentator's can't understand.

I started out just rooting for Anna because she’s likable and familiar. By the end, I wanted her to make good moves out of concern for her mother.
Pia puts everything she has into every move and she is so kind to her loving daughter. Nice.
Pia is the best chess commentator ever. First person I've seen to make chess feel exciting to the viewer. I've watched every round and loving it :)
2:40:09 Funny how Anna's opponent placed the King on the light square and the kid to anna's left noticed it and smiled. That was cute 😅

Excellent game. It seemed like Anna's opponent was playing blitz style, but it wasn't blitz! Anna took her time and took him and his unsound attack down!
This is the first round I've tuned into... Pia's mom-energy channeled through chess is awesome.

Great commentary Pia. All chess games I watch live there were two or three commentators with a special guest as well but it’s just Pia and she keeps people interested

Anna has a good chance to win this tournament...love the Pia commentary...get some rest and some good food...and keep up the great chess!
Anna is tied with one other player at the top with 4.5/5. In addition, the results of the game from the two players who started the game with 4/4 is not yet in; if they draw, they will also be at 4.5/5. I think she will be playing one of these three players next, and they are all slightly higher rated than she is.
They drew, so there are now four players at the top with 4.5/5, including Anna. Anna will be playing a slightly higher rated player (by 24 points), but Anna will have the white pieces. Here's hoping Anna can turn the white pieces into a win!
Anna's greatest weapon...her smile! I would lose just to see it.
These commentaries are great to listen to. It feels like a easy way to learn just by absorbing theory and tactics. Anna is a great presenter !

This was like listening to horse racing commentary.
I'm just 24 minutes in and there are some technical issues with displaying the board. However, the analysis by Pia is the best I've seen. So useful for my chess education. Thank you!!!

The guy played fast to try to put you in time trouble, which is generally not difficult to do. His prep wasn't a specific line, it was just "play fast". Glad it didn't work out for him.
