I don’t think she wishes she was better at it. She comes across as generally honest. And prepared to be quite vulnerable online when she’s really disappointed by a tournament loss or upset with herself for losing. Which she does without throwing temper tantrums.
Anna Cramling is one of the main reasons i started playing Chess. Her videos are very helpful and fun to watch. She is an inspiration, just like her mother. My favourite Chess streamer along with Levy and Nelson Lopez (chessvibes).
It's just the way it is. I started a small chess channel recently, and I almost immediately had someone trolling me. Which is fine, no-one is obliged to say nice things to me! So if you're a relatively big public figure, and you put yourself out there as a personality, you're going to get negative comments. As Anna says, it is mostly jealousy, but it's part of the deal of being a big content creator, or, I would say, big in any prominent field.
I have noticed that content creators tend to have a wildly different definition of what clickbait is than what mostly everybody else does. I guess when you have to devote a significant amount of time to creating thumbnails and titles people want to click, it might get into your head that you're clickbaiting even if it doesn't fit the definition that most people have. Like for me personally to consider something clickbait it has to not deliver what I expect it to deliver based on the title and thumbnail and leave me feeling like I've been deliberately mislead. For many content creators their definition seems to be closer to "making the thumbnail and title as clickable as possible without deceiving anybody".
He's using the word unbelievably as some sort of scale of how proud her parents are, so in a sense, the connotation of the word unbelievable doesn't show how believable something is but rather, how great her parents' pride is on her. Nevermind you migh be trolling
All the other players at Chess Camp talked about how amazing and genuine Anna C is. Anna R is a star and perfect for this format. Hope to be watching Anna C still playing chess when she’s Pia’s age. Hope neither Anna ever quit. They’re both great screen personalities.
@@eljja327 yeah but the whole video there wasn’t any tricky question like it was always basics ones compared to Hikaru and Magnus having to respond to « have you ever played an OTB match while being drunk »
Genuinely an interview that made me choked up, I cannot believe just how much Anna has a love for her mother and her mother's love for chess. It kind of puts into perspective this shared experience that can sometimes be forgotten in a game that can be as lonely as chess
Anna and Pia are inspiring. Anna brings joy and excitement to chess. Pia let's you know you can be kind and humble and concurrently the top of your field. Ruthlessly kind haha! Thank you both.
What's really interesting to me is that it's mostly the negative comments that stick with them and not the positive ones. And this is not a creepy marriage proposal or anything lol but I'd like to say that Anna's wholesome content is really very important and appreciated.
They are both such great women. It was just a pleasure to follow this conversation. Anna Rudolf is so well-spoken and charismatic. Anna Cramling has such good vibes and is so strong for admitting to her insecurities.
I am 86 years old and have never played chess. I love Anna's videos and have watched a lot of them. She is doing a great job in exposing people to chess.
I'm glad to hear Anna say what I've been thinking for a while now: her rating is lower than it could be because of the amount of effort dedicated to her content creation. And I sure don't want that content to go away.
26:22 I think seeing this journey of you trying to improve your rating (while having fun with your contwnt) will help sustain your channel for years to come
Some regard emotional vulnerability as a weakness in a competitive world, but Anna's vulnerability is truly a strength and a sign of a high EQ. It explains why all of Anna's followers find her such an attractive person, even if some make negative comments out of jealousy and immaturity. Anna is a truly excellent role model both in chess and in life which is reflected in achieving over 1 million followers. Anna, thank you for being a ray of sunshine and hope and an inspiration to us all.
16:51 she's so kind, it makes me feel sad for her... Be careful, viewers. Don't be insulting. And, creators, remember one thing : when people don't like you, they write a comment. When people like you, they press like button, and they subscribe. Where you feel bad about comments, just count comments, and count likes / subscribes. Most people like you.

Anna - find a way to filter out mean comments. Your work brings a great and meaningful joy to so many people. One of the most important lessons in life is to learn that authenticity is very important. Old people do not care what other people think of them. Unfortunately this lesson often takes a lifetime to learn. The sooner you realise this, the happier in life you will be. In this situation both Anna's have had experience with so called fans being disrespectful to them. Unfortunately social media has protected and encouraged millions of miserable, mean, desperate people to say anything in the hopes that they may get a few likes or supporters. If you have spent any time watching either of these two young ladies and their creations, you would have noticed their authenticity and kindness. Anyone who chooses either of these two as a target for meanness or aggression deserves to be ignored. The one thing the perpetrator of these acts would hate the most. Unfortunately the lesson to both is "Don't read the comments". If you have a team of people around you let someone else filter through the bullshit and share the valuable messages with you.
Anna Cramling's streams are the most wholesome feelgood vibes with a very positive streamer, a knowledgable commentator for all her games and so much spice with the timer. The mean/parasocial comments are a very small minority. I hope that the 99% of the comments stay so wholesome.

Also, it matters a lot that Anna Cramling is both beautiful and sympathetic, and there are bound to be some men with low social skills, who will offer her marriage (among other things) out of nowhere, despite having only seen her on social media.
@ 27:28, I'm not sure why Anna R throws in the towel so easily. I mean, she was down pawns sure, but why did she not make other moves to at least avoid the checkmate, like King to C5, forcing the king Anna C to move her king and take the knight on e6. But at least then Anna R could wipe out the bishop on e5 by sacrificing her queen and breaking the queen/bishop checkmate scenario and play it out a bit further. Another move would have been to slide Anna R's king over to d8, also breaking Anna C's queen/bishop attack, because then if either the queen or bishop moved to attack Anna R's king, the knight or king would be able to take back a piece on c7. I'm not great at chess, and I'm probably being naive about the moves I mentioned and have not thought through them enough, but it seems weird for Anna R to just move her knight into a position for the queen to take it and simultaneously checkmate her without at least dragging it out to a futile pawn endgame.
