When i get a pattern printed in b&w i use a coloured pencil, or highlight pen to map out the line I’m supposed to be following. It can get so congested where all the lines come together! If I’m printing my own, i turn off the surplus layers. All the small & the large sizes. I only keep about 5 on. 2 above, the correct size and 2 below. That gives me enough sizes to grade in and out. That Kielo is lovely! It looks gorgeous on you.

Thank you so much for my prize! I did exactly the same with cutting out the keilo pattern, but I emailed them and showed proof of purchase of pattern and they sent me the pdf pattern so I could just recut the arms xx
I will just add it back on, just need to iron out the crumples from the bits I cut off the A0 pieces 😁👍 Im looking forward to see what you make with your prize 🤩 I’ll post it tomorrow
Hi Julie, good to see you this week. I’ve been on the fence about the Kielo dress. It was good to see it made up. For me it’s your fabric choice that brings out the magic in the dress. I have never been to the Plymouth area. Before Covid my husband and I visited the UK every 18 months or so as we have close friends who live there. Slowly getting back to some travel and we’re actually there in May. I think I am going to investigate Plymouth and surrounds with view to going there when we get back over. Have a great week!

Love your keilo. And your reasoning about your next one. I don’t know the Westcliff but I think from what you showed of your skirt piece, your pattern placement looks great for a knee length without the ruffle. Enjoy your holiday .

Thanks, that’s a great bit of advice, I will do that if I need it printed again, I wasn’t sure what size I would need but it would definitely help to eliminate the jumpsuit lines. I’ve seen a few on insta and they definitely cut the the jumpsuit crotch line for the dress and ended up with a weird angle on the wrap over
I love your Kielo; beautiful drape. I've got the pattern and plan to make two versions of the dress. The Westcliff is a lovely pattern and I've made 5 all without the extra tier. I think that your red base fabric is absolutely gorgeous. I would ask where you purchased it from BUT I've given my family my word that I would not purchase any more fabric but sew my rather extensive and expensive stash 😊
Ah yes, I think most of us need to be doing more sewing from the stash 😁🤣🤣 as for that other hobby of purchasing fabric, it’s from 1st for Fabrics 🧐🫣🫣👀👀

Thank you Zelda. The fabric for the Kielo wrap dress was from Pound a Meter. The crop top fabric was from UK Stretch Fabrics They had it in a green colourway too. I have a T-shirt dress somewhere in the green but haven’t seen it since we packed up for the works to start on a loft conversion 🤪

With a lot of pdf patterns you can turn on and off layers in the file so that you only print the size you want which makes it easier when cutting out.
