This little tool has been so helpful! I always just captured everything and it made my urban sketches a little too busy for my liking. Got this little thing and now I can focus on one area b/c my brain process everything around me.

Why do I love this video so much?! I think it’s because you have this small simple gadget I’d never seen before, that has so many useful functions. You always explain everything so beautifully too. I had to get one and I’ve started taking it with me on my dog walks, just to practice framing views. So helpful! ❤

That is super cool! I've seen people use their hands looking at something but mostly thought they wanted to look like old movie directors or something 😂🤦🏻‍♀️ but, I'm an idiot so🤷🏻‍♀️
But, I have looked at something and tried to paint it not understanding why its not looking right, and this is probably part of it, because I sorta just go... I have very very short moments where my body allows me to do much, so if I happen to be able to move my hands, back and legs at the same time as a burst of energy, its sort of like a race to just do SOMETHING... a lot its junk like dishes or something ick, mostly because I feel guilty not doing that first.... but sometimes I let myself play artist (I use art supplies but can't seem to call myself an artist like most of you😊) but since I'm rushing, I tend to not take time to plan.... but I LOVE that little gadget!! Especially having the size and how you can trance that box knowing the exact size it'll work into.... sheeeesh.... brilliant! See, this is just another display of why I can't call myself an artist because I had NO idea! So now I need to look for one to save for. Right now we can barely afford food so even a couple bucks isn't a thing... but, I'll keep my eye out! Thank you for explaining it and how it works! Very cool!!

If money is a concern, you could use a plastic food lid and draw a rectangle the size/proportions of your favorite paper size. Then use an exacto knife to cut out the square. Now you have a view finder. You can cut out the four different sizes that her gadget uses in one large lid or use a small lid for each size. Alternatively, you could use thin cardboard instead of plastic. The cardboard used in cereal boxes would be perfect. You could even paint them gray if desired.

Great tool, and your explanation makes a lot more sense of it… but considering it’s two pieces of plastic, why are they so incredibly expensive? (Yes, I know it’s supply/demand mechanics & small-batch manufacturing cost, but still)
