So delightful to see an old man light up and show how proud he is of his work. It's not nearly as engraved in pop culture as Doc Brown, so recognition for another role he absolutely nailed must be really extraordinary.
@@Bubbalou21 Not to mention his work in Cuckoo's Nest ("PLAY THE GAME, HARDING!"), "Toonstruck" (look it up; seriously), Ignitowski in "Taxi", and as a Klingon in ST. 💪😎✌️ The man was a straight up character FIEND. Perfect in every role. Genuine. Interesting. Unique. No exceptions.
Honestly? This is the kinda series I want on Disney Plus. Tracking down legendary performances and discussing the costumesz pulling then from storage, showing them and interviewing actresses and actors
Judge Doom is one of my favorite villains, and Mr. Lloyd was tailor made for the role. His voice, his mannerisms… he commanded the scene every time he showed up. My face lit up when he tried on the fedora, and that smile… it’s like Doom never left.
I forget just what a massive part of my childhood Christopher Lloyd has been between Roger rabbit, Addams family, my favorite Martian, taxi, back to the future, and One flew over the cuckoo's nest is one of my favorite films ever. Legend
Still one of my favorite movies! Still holds up even today! Christopher Lloyds performance is a big part of that as he is in most of his movies and tv appearances!
Christopher Lloyd is not only a great actor, but the greatest character actor of all time. From Judge Doom to Doc Brown to Uncle Fester to an evil Klingon to an angel in the outfield to the White Knight in the TV adaptation of Alice in Wonderland, he immerses himself into the characters. Only when I recognize his voice do I know it's him and I shake my head, smile and say to myself, "Damn, he did it again." He sounds like a fascinating person to have a conversation with. An original, that's what he is.
Ironically mr Lloyd played the good guy in an old pic game called Toonstruck which featured his character, a cartoonist enter the world of toons. Wish people would talk to him about it. It’s nice to see him be more talkative, he’s known for being extremely shy
100% on the shy part. I saw him in 2022, and I cosplayed Judge Doom for years now, if anything he sounded more tired (I mean he's 85, it's well-earned to be tired at a con) from a long day when I got there but he enjoyed the fact that someone was cosplaying it, Roger plush and can of DIP and all.
I'm NYCC's and RICC's resident Judge Doom for years (haven't seen another one yet in 10 years so I think I can say that) and when I saw him in 2022, he looked like he had a long day at his table, but I could see him light up some as I got there with my Roger plush and can of DIP, and then for photo ops there was that unspoken 'Oh I was hoping the Judge Doom guy would come' look. I think he really appreciates when it's one of his less discussed roles, not that he doesn't like Doc Brown, but that he enjoys seeing the others come through the crowd.
This was a real treat to see Christopher Lloyd interact with his old character, but the costume was missing one thing; Judge Doom also wore a pocket watch and chain on his vest. The watch and chain appears starting with the scene, where Judge Doom shows up at the bar to apprehend Roger Rabbit and remains with the costume for the rest of the film. Other than that, great job!
I consider Judge Doom to be sort of the main antagonist of all Cartoons. Since Who Franed Roger Rabbit had both Disney and Warner Brothers in it I consider Judge Doom to be like the Thanos of the cartoon worlds. (In a sort) and that makes Christopher Lloyd one of the best villain character actors of all time.
he did such a great job as judge doom that when i was a kid i had no idea that it was him, i knew him from back to the future, taxi and things like that but with this one, i just saw the character, it wasn't until later that i was like oooooh that was christopher lloyd, such a great villain
Christopher Lloyd is my favorite actor and I love everything he's been in no matter how small the role and he is absolutely terrifying as Judge Doom! On a side note Tim Curry auditioned for the role of Judge Doom originally but Robert Zemeckis and Stephen Spielberg thought based on Tim Curry's audition Tim's performance as Judge Doom would be much too terrifying and frightening for children so they went for Lloyd. Christopher Lloyd just nails Judge Doom and his performance is terrifying in his own right but as a fan of Tim Curry as well and the awesome villains he's played over the years, damn I'd love to see Tim's audition tape if it ever surfaces!
Lloyd is quite right in observing that many classic cartoons had at least one moment in them that was nightmare fuel. His performance as Judge Doom was no exception. Flawlessly executed. @Prop Culture: Is there any way to get an accurate (affordable) replica of the glasses? I’ve searched relentlessly online and no frames exactly like it are to be found anywhere. It's the one piece that's missing from a nearly flawless replica of his costume in my collection...
Yeah Christopher Lloyd Definitely Nailed This Probably The Most Evil Villain He Ever Played Also I Know People Say Doom Was A Toon But To Me And To Me Only Doom Is A Human/Toon Hybrid Because In Some Scenes He’s In He Acts Pretty Human Like
Ah, so I didn't imagine that his cape moves unnaturally. Always thought it was a wind that affected nothing but his cape, but thought that would be a bit ludicrous, so rationalised it as a property of the cloth.
I remember seeing WFRR on vhs when I was a kid (got it for Christmas along with Batman '89 on vhs) and it was weird seeing Christopher Lloyd as a bad guy after seeing him as Doc Brown and Jim on Taxi.
Hey as we all know that judge Jones walking stick isn't just a walking stick it's also a sword which happens to be the most iconic weapon in Disney history
It is a really nice costume. Simple but tells you everything about Judge Doom. And yeah he looked old in the movie so as he is now it would barely be any diffrence just not jump around on springs XD
My husband kind of giggled when the Mandalorian episode aired with Jack Black and Christopher Lloyd. I didn't tell him or our boys, I wanted to see their reactions.
Archivist was waiting in the wing to put him in a straight jacket if he tried. He wanted to put it on so bad. Crazy to see how much he wanted to jump back into that character.
I wish they can do a sequel, and he may be too old for stunts so instead he could be considered a voice actor instead. Christopher Lloyd’s life is nothing but a curse that’s keeping him alive for one purpose. Do the sequel of Roger rabbit.
I feel kind of bad about that squeaky shoe that Doom killed in the film but that's squeaky shoe is in other world now speaking of our world I wonder how that squeaky shoes been doing
Christopher Lloyd needs to be protected at all costs. He is an icon from all our childhoods.
So delightful to see an old man light up and show how proud he is of his work. It's not nearly as engraved in pop culture as Doc Brown, so recognition for another role he absolutely nailed must be really extraordinary.

To me personally, doc brown will always be his first main character. And his second (with a thin margin) will always be judge doom.
Honestly? This is the kinda series I want on Disney Plus. Tracking down legendary performances and discussing the costumesz pulling then from storage, showing them and interviewing actresses and actors
This is a clip from a removed Disney+ show 😭
Judge Doom is one of my favorite villains, and Mr. Lloyd was tailor made for the role. His voice, his mannerisms… he commanded the scene every time he showed up.
My face lit up when he tried on the fedora, and that smile… it’s like Doom never left.
Like Christian Bale said, the characters don't leave the actors.
Can just imagine how much fun Christopher Lloyd had performing the role of Dr. Doom, a fantastic villain to show a sinister side, he perfected it!
Judge Doom👓actually
Dang, Lloyd STILL got it! You can tell he definitely enjoyed his Judge Doom role just like he did Doc in Back to the Future.
02:11. Even Christopher Lloyd was startled by the costume for its originality.
A role from 1987 to 2024…30 plus years later.
I forget just what a massive part of my childhood Christopher Lloyd has been between Roger rabbit, Addams family, my favorite Martian, taxi, back to the future, and One flew over the cuckoo's nest is one of my favorite films ever. Legend
You forgot Star Trek III The Search for Spock, He played the Klingon Commander Kruge.
Christopher Loyd is one of my childhood heroes, I'm glad I grew up watching movies with him on it! 🎉
You *must* check out "Toonstruck" (video game). 💪😎✌️
Christopher Lloyd does WHAT
I was thinking the same thing 😂
One of my absolute favorite actors of all time in one of my absolute most favorite movies of all time. 🤩
Absolute legend
Me too. I don't know why some people think Judge Doom is that scary? He didn't scare me, when I was a Boy.
Definitely.
Still one of my favorite movies! Still holds up even today! Christopher Lloyds performance is a big part of that as he is in most of his movies and tv appearances!
Christopher Lloyd is such a great actor and Doc Brown, Judge Doom, Uncle Fester, and Uncle Fred my my favorite characters he has played.

Judge Doom will always be my favorite Live Action Villain when I was a Boy.
Christopher Lloyd is one of the greatest character actors ever.
Play the game, Harding.
Doom Dipping that little shoe was always terrifying to watch
WONDERFUL character actor! - His back-catalogue of characters he has played are wide and various 👍
Doom is one of my favorite Lloyd characters.
Judge Doom and Doc Brown are the two roles I will always know him for, two very great roles.
This movie is a Legend and so Christopher Lloyd
You should check him out in "Nobody". OMG he was hilarious
Judge Doom definitely scared me as a kid. The Shoe in the dip scene was always hard to watch.
Did you know that Bart Simpson voiced that shoe?
This movie always gets passed over when discussing this great actor's work. Love this one.
Ironically mr Lloyd played the good guy in an old pic game called Toonstruck which featured his character, a cartoonist enter the world of toons. Wish people would talk to him about it.

Judge Doom scared the living daylights out of me as a three year old. That costume belongs in the Disney archives.
Exemplary storytelling includes costuming... props... lighting... vocal performance(s)... tempo... sound... music, etc.
*I love this movie so much* ❤️
Me too
Come On Disney+, return this series back onto streaming.
Agree

1:03-1:41 You can tell Lloyd was like “You’ve seen my dread. Now we share it.”😂😂😂
I loved this show and wish they did another season. Can't believe they removed it from streaming

Christopher Lloyd is a true Legend
I hope Christopher Lloyd gets to play Judge Doom one more time.
Oh man that would be amazing.
he did such a great job as judge doom that when i was a kid i had no idea that it was him, i knew him from back to the future, taxi and things like that but with this one, i just saw the character, it wasn't until later that i was like oooooh that was christopher lloyd, such a great villain
I think it's incredible that he's still alive
Passionate about his work~!
Roger Rabbit was one of my biggest childhood movies and Christopher Lloyd was absolutely fantastic....and scary. 😂😂😂
Judge Doom reveal still scare me to this day 😨😨😨
I miss this on Disney+ wish they would bring it back and make new shows.
Che momento meraviglioso ci hai regalato grazie 🤩🥹
*_DO YOU REMEMBER ME, EDDIE?!_*
Doc Brown and the Thief from Dennis the Menace
I’ve seen that costume in person a bunch of times on the Disney Studios Backlot Tour at WDW as a teenager
The charactere Chris Lloyd had played, scare us sooo much as kids.

This made me tear up. 😢
Fun stuff like this makes the movie better. Thanks
HOW **DARE** THEY SHOW THAT ADORABLE SHOE TOON GET THE DIP IN THIS!!
I *~ JUST ~* got over seeing it happen 35 years ago (the first time!)
His role as the “headless” professor on “Amazing Stories” scared the hell out of me as a kid.
Lots of fond memories of him in The Pagemaster 👌

What an awesome little piece!
It really is!
Best Disney+ original. They need to restart it.
Uncle Fester is my absolute favorite character of his
Yeah Christopher Lloyd Definitely Nailed This Probably The Most Evil Villain He Ever Played Also I Know People Say Doom Was A Toon But To Me And To Me Only Doom Is A Human/Toon Hybrid Because In Some Scenes He’s In He Acts Pretty Human Like
This man still drives at 88 miles per hour!
This show deserves a second season and it’s a crime it got taken off dplus
Judge doom gave me nightmares when I was a kid especially when his eyeballs popped out revealing his true identity
Are we getting more Prop Culture any time soon? I loved this show and would love to see more of it!
Can we adopt Chris as a Grandfather?
How many people have dibs over me?🤔😃
Great Scott
Getting a haircut with a icon
Ah, so I didn't imagine that his cape moves unnaturally. Always thought it was a wind that affected nothing but his cape, but thought that would be a bit ludicrous, so rationalised it as a property of the cloth.
Real life Judge Doom.
But Roger Rabbit goes Bugs Bunny.
it was a crime to cancel this show.
worse, they erased it from the platform. absolutely shameful.
Get me every time 😂 🤣 0:22 0:28 0:41

Wish he had tried on the whole costume
Archivist was waiting in the wing to put him in a straight jacket if he tried. He wanted to put it on so bad. Crazy to see how much he wanted to jump back into that character.
what happened to your disney + series?
Does he ever talk about Commander Kurge in Star Trek 3
"A blast from the past!"
No, don't start talking about the past around Christopher!
I've always wondered what the evil cartoon of the judge actually looked like.
Getting shaved by an older Ned Flanders is crazy!
Hilarious
I wish they can do a sequel, and he may be too old for stunts so instead he could be considered a voice actor instead. Christopher Lloyd’s life is nothing but a curse that’s keeping him alive for one purpose. Do the sequel of Roger rabbit.
I never knew he was judge doom
Donate to Christopher Lloyd fund so he can do Roger rabbit number 2, LO L.
Why didn't they make one for CHARLES FLEISCHER?? he was the title character!!
Coming soon pal!
I feel kind of bad about that squeaky shoe that Doom killed in the film but that's squeaky shoe is in other world now speaking of our world I wonder how that squeaky shoes been doing
The only letdown was that he didnt put the full costume on.
You know what's going to happen , right? Bruce Boxleitner will be the model for the AI that polices al lthe other AI
Terrifying
Unfortunate video title
He will be miss if he dieds
