To this day it is still one of life's greatest mysteries. A question that scholars and scientists alike have been asking for years and will likely continue to ask for decades going forward: IS Toy Story a cartoon?
Toy Story 3 had a good ending. But part 4 felt necessary for Woody. After everything with Andy, Woody deserved to live for himself. To me, that felt alot happier than just ending up being the next kids toy.
100% agree, it wasn't about pleasing other people anymore, it was about pleasing yourself. From a fixed belief point you grew up with, to forming your own opinions and thoughts. Toy Story 4 got super deep. Plus the animation just felt darker and taken more serious (love the shot of Woody saying bye to Bo Peep in the beginning) felt more adult to me so it's my fav one.
I've seen Toy Story 2, 3 and 4 at the cinema (saw the first movie on VHS years after release) and when I saw 4 in 2019 it was very meh but I re-watched it last year and it seemed a bit better than I remembered. I agree it peaked at number 3.
The fourth is on par with
To this day it is still one of life's greatest mysteries. A question that scholars and scientists alike have been asking for years and will likely continue to ask for decades going forward: IS Toy Story a cartoon?
This this the WRONG guy to interview Tarantino about movies... Seriously knows nothing.
I live Quentin! He is soooo passionate🩷
Toy Story 3 had a good ending. But part 4 felt necessary for Woody. After everything with Andy, Woody deserved to live for himself. To me, that felt alot happier than just ending up being the next kids toy.
Agree, and it's my favorite one
100% agree, it wasn't about pleasing other people anymore, it was about pleasing yourself. From a fixed belief point you grew up with, to forming your own opinions and thoughts. Toy Story 4 got super deep. Plus the animation just felt darker and taken more serious (love the shot of Woody saying bye to Bo Peep in the beginning) felt more adult to me so it's my fav one.
I was also impressed by how many fresh ideas it had. Homemade toys, carnival toys, antique toys, recalled toys, abandoned toys. It was a lotta fun.
I've seen Toy Story 2, 3 and 4 at the cinema (saw the first movie on VHS years after release) and when I saw 4 in 2019 it was very meh but I re-watched it last year and it seemed a bit better than I remembered. I wish Disney would move on from these movies, but they'll probably have to make Toy Story 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 to financially recover from all the Star Wars stuff.
