So great seeing Peter Reneday. He doesn’t get a lot of recognition. He had a long association with Disney, providing voices for their rides and attractions. What blew my mind was when I found out he was the voice of the host bear Henry in the classic Country Bear Jamboree show :o “So clap your hands and stomp your feet and try to keep right with ‘em, one sure thing the bear band’s got is real old country rhythm” ;)

For those who don't know, Rob Paulsen voiced Pinky in Pinky and the Brain, Yakko from Animainiacs, Carl in Jimmy Neutron, Throttle in Biker Mice, PJ in Goof Troop, and SOOOOO many other from the 80's - 2000s. Really great guy. I met all of them in Pensacola Florida and they're all really great guys. I'm a kid of the 90s so Turtles was before my time, but after watching an episode of SWAT Cats, I saw Ninja Turtles and I was HOOKED like the Turtle are hooked on pizza. I've never met such swell guys like them. I really hope I get to meet all the Turtles again one day
Cam Clarke was also Liquid Snake in Metal Gear Heath Burns in Monster High and Freddy the Ferret in Back at the Barnyard. Townsend Coleman was known as the Tick and Wayne Gretzky from ProStars. Finally Rob Paulsen was also known for being part of the 2012 TMNT as Donatello while Sean Astin played Raphael Jason Biggs and later Seth Green played Leonardo and Greg Cipes as Michelangelo.

I wouldn't say it started as a fad. It started as an indie comic done as a passion project based on a joke between roommates. It *became* a fad, twice at different levels. First the comic blew up in the underground scene and everyone tried to copy its success, then when the cartoon and toys came out, kids became obsessed with them around the world.
TMNT is lightning in a bottle. It's pure magic. Nothing has been able to successfully replicate it; not even Nickelodeon's modern iterations. They've all fell flat.

The merchandising alone during the peak of Turtlemania was insane, and the Murakami-Wolf cartoon certainly did what it was designed to do, which was advertise the toy line.
I miss my childhood. I was born in 2003 but the 1987 Ninja Turtles cartoon series was my favorite cartoon growing up. I had a lot of the VHS tapes and DVDs and on Friday nights we would make pizza and watched episodes on my VCR and DVD player. I even dressed up as Leonardo for Halloween. I understand a lot of people prefer the darker and more serious takes of the Ninja Turtles (2003 and 2012 series) but THIS was the TMNT that I knew and loved.
Even at a old age Barry Cam Rob & Townsend still got it, Also I believe their Interview must be about either the late 2000's or early 2010's since James Avery was still alive at that point before his unfortunate death at the late of 2013.

I remember the first time I heard about the Turtles. One day they didn't exist in my world and the next, the neighborhood kids were talking about them and I had to see for myself (the original series, first season). Been a fan ever since!
LEGENDS! Actually, the entire crew should be proud, because this series was what really put the 'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles' franchise (it should be in quotation marks) on the map.
I'd love for all these actors to come together once again for a new animated project like a new movie or adaption of the Saturday Morning Adventures Comic Series.
I know that TMNT 2003 is amazing and the most accurate to the comics, and 2012 was also really great. But there's just something about the 87 series that I can't help but love more.

Getting home from elementary school and watching this show was a highlight. The intro is still very nostalgic. Takes me back 35 years now. I had a ton of the toys too. Still a fan.
It is going to be a sad time for many fans because I have just found out that Peter Renaday has passed away on Tuesday, September 10, 2024, so it wasn't just James Avery who passed away. They will both be truly missed. It's too bad that the original cast didn't return to voice as the main characters again for the 2009 animated television film "Turtles Forever". If I could use AI to replace the voices with the cast from the 1987 cartoon series, I would.

I remember the first time I heard about the Turtles. One day they didn't exist in my world and the next, the neighborhood kids were talking about them and I had to see for myself (the original series, first season). Been a fan ever since!
What a awesome team of voice actors! But, who else besides me keeps an eye on them, and the other eye on the action figures showed together with them?
LEGENDS! Actually, the entire crew should be proud, because this series was what really put the 'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles' franchise (it should be in quotation marks) on the map.

I got to meet all 4 of my 90s childhood TMNT heroes back at Emerald City con and got all their autographs, I actually cried it was so amazing....
I'd love for all these actors to come together once again for a new animated project like a new movie or adaption of the Saturday Morning Adventures Comic Series.

I know that TMNT 2003 is amazing and the most accurate to the comics, and 2012 was also really great. But there's just something about the 87 series that I can't help but love more.

Yeah I loved this carton version of TMNT back then while I was growing up. I Wish could watch it all again like on Netflix or some other streaming place. Yeah RIP James Avery. Loved him as uncle Phill in will smith/ Fresh prince Belair.
Fun fact: The theme song was composed by Chuck Lorre, (later) best known for Big Bang Theory, Two And A Half Men, Mom, Dharma And Greg etc etc

@@CaptainUnusual In an early episode of 2HM Charlie Sheen actually plays the TMNT theme song on the piano to his nephew (in that universe, his character Charlie Harper composed the song) to impress him, but the nephew has no idea what the song is as he was born after the old TMNT series ended.
Getting home from elementary school and watching this show was a highlight. The intro is still very nostalgic. Takes me back 35 years now. I had a ton of the toys too. Still a fan.

It is going to be a sad time for many fans because I have just found out that Peter Renaday has passed away on Tuesday, September 10, 2024, so it wasn't just James Avery who passed away.
They will both be truly missed.
It's too bad that the original cast didn't return to voice as the main characters again for the 2009 animated television film "Turtles Forever".
If I could use AI to replace the voices with the cast from the 1987 cartoon series, I would.

I stumbled to this video by coincidence. It was flash back to 1997. I was 10 yrs old just got home from school and turn the TV to channel 20 in (Houston). Thank you to all you guys thar made my afternoons from school epics, and gave my parents headaches. Thanks to both of my parents for buying everything that was turtle back them. TURTLE POWER!😮😮

I always loved rob paulsen hes a legend and one of the bestest voices i know to date he was yakko pinky gordon on catscratch mark chang on fairly oddparents and a lot of others hes like the mel blanc of the 90s and 2000s to me

I'm so glad that years back I got the complete original TMNT series in the collectible Party Wagon set. Probably one of my favorite series collectible sets.
