Love the Bird House However; a quick question? What stops the top from coming off? Or, more to the point, what stops the bottom dropping away from the top, when its hung in the tree, and maybe, full of little chicks ... !? Was the top screwed into the bottom ... !? Otherwise ... love your work. (And, I'm sure the birdies will too!) Thank you. William (Hampshire UK)
I made a tenon and mortise between the top and bottom and wood glued it. I still have that birdhouse and it has house several generations of chick with know sudden plummets! 😁😁😁
This was a good video, although I think this piece could've used more sanding, especially through the hole, and on the inside... I also would've liked to see you put the top, and the little standing dowel onto it...
I was thinking the overhang of the room would help keep it from being needed I should go check on it when its raining. I dont think it would hurt to have a hole.
Nice Piece and interesting process, thanks for sharing. Full View and Like 👍

I have a video titled Bfs 5000 SERIES where yiu can watch me make a scraper from a bull dozer blade!
vincent where have you gone? cant find you on youtube anymore
thank you
I like the bird house. How did you connect the top to the bottom?
Little bit of woodglue
Very cool. I was going to take a shot at making bird houses, do you think a hole in the bottom to drain water would be a good idea?
I was thinking the overhang of the room would help keep it from being needed I should go check on it when its raining. I dont think it would hurt to have a hole.
I too think the birds will love it. Do you have an idea what type it might attract?
Any of the LBJ's will love it. Little brown jobs. Lol. Sparrows and finches I am thinking
Zombie Woodturner The hole size is critical as to what type of bird it will (or won't) attract. Love the idea, out to the shop to try one 😎
Nice shape, any tennants yet?
nope. maybe soon since spring is here.
What are the measurements of the log piece.
I dont remember exactly but around 8 or 9 inch diameter and same length
Nice work on the birdhouse. What size was your forstner bit.
3.5 inches. And thanks!
I like.
This is neat. Have the birbs moved in yet?
I have had a couple of seasons of tenants. they seem to like it!
Looks great but iv never seen anyone use a flip flop to turn wood
what the what?! I almost had to go back a rewatch my own video to figure out what you talking about. lol.
If I were a bird I'd want to come to live at your place.
Don't need the perch.
cool. dont put on on then. The birds living in mine seem to like it.
@@ZombieWoodturner other than that it's a sweet birdhouse.
