Not only have I been blown away by everything I’ve seen Grace do, but I feel so grateful and hopefully anticipate a few more decades of hearing her as she compiles additional techniques, impressions, feelings, collabs, you name it. Thank you, Grace.
Perhaps they’re channeling the souls of the greats who have passed? I said the same thing about Johnny Lang when he was 14, how can someone so young possess so much blues?
Nice! Nice! Nice! The tones, dynamics, now soft, now digging in! And same with two-speed vibrato! Big grin on this end! I was going to mention watching Michael Landau when he switches between pick and fingers, but your right hand positioning says you’ve already done that! It is a great pleasure to watch and listen to you young padawanette! :)
The comment I made regarding Jeff, Jimi & Stevie smiling down on Grace was as an acknowledgement of where she's come in a very short period in time. Those three are at the top of the great guitarist with Jeff Beck, not Hendrix as the best. What Beck accomplish in almost a sixty year career is simple amazing. Clapton, Page, Gilmore, May, Bonamassa etc. they all praise JB as no one comes close to his playing. And that is with due respect to Hendrix, even Jimi would say the same thing about JB. But back to Grace, she still young but so above others her age. I hope I get to see her ten years from now. I saw Beck, Clapton, Page, Hendrix, SRV ETC! I Saw a lot of the greats in my 70 odd years. And I see in Grace the raw talent she has now and know this type of music is going to be in good hands.
Really, who cares if it's an actual Fender. Fender was no longer Fender when CBS bought it out. Why care about Fender anymore? They are overpriced and the QC is not very good. Same with Gibson. Leo made several improvements to the Strat when he founded G & L. They were better guitars. The Strat in the video went out of tune when she used that dumb old six screw trem. The bridge digs into the wood over time and doesn't return to pitch. That's why the two post knife edge system is better. The saddles are what really affect the tone. Not the posts.
It's fairly common amongst slide players. Look for some Tedesci Trucks videos and watch Derrick Trucks playing slide, and you'll see a lot of that. Check out their performance of Midnight in Harlem from the E-Town show, which is a transcendental experience as well as a master class of slide playing.
@@rickschmitz6438 OMG!!! i loves your question so much. i tell you really seriously, i'm gonna use that little treasure of a question next time i get the opportunities Muchas, mucho gracias muchisimo!!!
You're getting to the point where you've assembled a good number of runs and licks, and getting together the how to string them all together in key, with feel and swing. Playing's come a long way from the pandemic days which was already very good. Props.
@@grace__bowers❤Aren’t we all!❤What l 💕 here is your sense of melodic invention;unlike other versions I’ve heard, you play multi-modal lines(Dorian,Aeolian,&Hungarian minor),all within the first few measures! I love it;quite bold & commands attention! Your hybrid picking is almost “shreddy”(meant as compliment!) Other than Anton Oparin,Scotty Mishoe,& a few others,I don’t really listen to guitarists these days (got my own practicing to do 😊);however, you’ve got my ears&eyes! I’m 74,still shred everyday!! Hope you’re still playing at my age,God Bless You❤. BTW,love you on the Strat!,pick up a Tele if you haven’t;it’ll change your life!😊❤
Hello Grace, In my wildest dreams I never imagined hearing an Angel play Little Wing ! Very melodic rendition, I love it ! Leslie West and Alvin Lee are 2 of my favorites and I would never leave Jimi Hendrix out of my favorites... And now here you are making a mind boggling impression on me, and being the cutest doll baby out there... You are unintentionally breaking hearts Grace... From SW Ohio...
Splendid. I had a far out thought, that you're gonna start playing the Strat with your teeth like Jimi. But I realized it is unnecessary. Splendid indeed. 🍷
I think it's kind of like me trying to answer "What's your favorite band?" Well, usually my favorite is the one that I'm listening to right now, that music is what's currently lighting up my brain synapses, it's the poetry in motion, not the book on the shelf. I have favorite bands, plural, but comparing them in a ranking fashion isn't really a feat I can muster.
But the flavor of Jimi's sound, the grain of the wood, the texture, it's really special. His bends are cosmic, his tone is magic and of course he sings on his and I love his singing.
Please please **PLEASE** whatever you do, DON'T get started with drugs and booze because they will end you just when you think you've got it all under control. You are WAY too valuable to your family, friends, and the world in general for you to have one second less than the full measure of life.
To pick between Jimi’s or Stevie’s is almost an unfair question. Beautiful track either way. Jimi , as creator, simply deserves the nod. I’m left questioning which you prefer ? I’ll make a guess once you road test your version a bit.
High Grace, I like your RH technique switching from 👍 and 🤞, and plectrum picking . It's something I 2:01 Admire in a player , I can go from finger picking to Plectrum only in separate passages. Maybe I need more practice😊😊😺.check out Chris Buck, he plays like you. Have fun. Best Regards. John.

Solid gold to the very end.
So smooth, so expressive. Loved it! 🥰
You are very special & usually move me in a way that helps me get balanced. Thank you!!! 💜
Wow! Incredible take on a classic
Beautiful, thank you!
Mad to see this individual growing up in front of our eyes. I see a mature player emerging !!
You are the future of guitar music. Amaziing.
Futures looking grim then.
This is outstanding 👏
Wonderfully mature reading of this Hendrix classic.
Impressive. 🎶🌟👍

you have a very good touch on strat too, I think you have digested Hendrix & SRV to the point that we can say that it is Grace Bowers' version... 👏
Beautifully played Grace really!!
I'm just in Aww!
Absolutely amazing!
Fantastic, you nailed it, Grace 🎉🎉🎉
Perfect…I don't know anyone who play Jimi Hendrix so perfectly and melodiously, cool and certainty.
Beautiful Empress 👑 🌹 Keep Rocking 🎸🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶
Beautiful Grace❤🎉😂
Hendrix, Beck & SRV are all looking down and smiling at you Grace. 🎸🙏
This is an embarrassing comment. She's not even close.

Nice interpretation.. 😎👌🏻🏴🇬🇧
That was great girl! You are really good now, can’t wait to see how good you get. You could be one of the GstOAT
Its just GOAT😂
Frank Marino's cover is also amazing. You're amazing. Still trying to find that elusive Grace Bowers' vinyl........
Sounds real good.
Two reasons I love Grace Bowers: She's a phenomenal guitarist AND her dog's a Golden Doodle.
I had a Hendrix jam session this afternoon, four hours later there comes this. :) I’m quite jelous tho, I can’t play Little Wing this perfectly. 🤘🏻🎸
Sweet, Carrying the Guitar torch into the future.. love seeing it.
Very creative!
It’s alright….it’s alright…. take anything yooooooo want fruuuuuuum meeeeeeeeeeeee😩

Farout cover. The place of origin being the phenomenal Hendrix would be where I’d go.

I like Stevie’s because it’s 6 minutes, but Jimi’s is better, he just made it so damn short! Sounds great.
Remind me why we play the National Anthem before every sports event? Also, it was a drinking song. They just changed the words.
