I just cancelled my physical therapy appointment. He gave me good advice and was going to teach me hip exercises but I feel so much lighter after this video. I’m going to try to fit this into my schedule and see how I feel after a week but I already feel great
I sit 12 hours a day at my job and my hips started to lock up. I’ve been trying to walk more but I get home with the worst hip pains. Doing this everyday now to help my hips, thank you!

@@csuohio-gp7wq the pain came back just recently. I was free from pain right away and for a long time. But I think I’m needing to exercise butt area and back legs. All my strength is in the the front of my legs so I need to strengthen my back area. I wish I could explain it better.

My hips were locked it was difficult for me to walk properly.. I walked approx 3 km for hip movement and came home, still no relief. Then at 8:10 pm i started looking for hip exercise, i found this video, i followed step by step. At 8:27 pm i got relief in pain.. Great exercise mam.. 🙏 Love from india.. 🙏🙏❤

DR. JO’s EXERCISES WORK!!!! Do yourself a favor - Dr Jo’s exercises work, are simple to follow and fun to watch. Had a very bad ankle sprain in 2017 (ligaments and tendon torn)., which affected everything - gait, hamstrings hips, knees, etc. In 2018 I had right hip muscle pain but nothing relieved it…. Until I did these exercises. My advice - do them every day, carefully, intentionally and consciously. Pain not only the right hip, but also had a very painful right shoulder, knee and wrist. Since I’ve been doing these (and shoulder exercises) I feel so much better. Dr Jo you are the best therapist I’ve seen yet - even better than the PT’s I’ve seen in my town. Thank you so very much!!

Omg thanks Dr.Jo. I was born with Blounts Disease and Hip Dyplasia. I am due for a hip replacement @ 35. PT after 2 car wrecks and still pain. I cam across your video and found relief. I just want to say that you are God sent. My hip groin area gets hung and I cant walk or roll over in bed. After doing these exercises I finally rolled over with zero pain. Thanks ❤❤❤❤❤

I have been trying to recover from a car accident for 4 years now. I was told I have performs syndrom, causing hip hinging g, that has caused misalignment.of pelvic, causing knee on oposite side to hinge to the left. Thank you Dr. Joseph for.helping me get on the road to recovery. Hopefully I can start teaching again soon....and not have to have a hip replacement.

I also want to thank you for your many exercise videos. I was out for three weeks with SIJ problems that was helped by a chiropractor. I wanted to find exercises to prevent this from reoccurring. I found you Doctor Jo. I have been religiously performing the ten exercises from this video since the fall. I can tell that I am stronger, even developing a rear end again. I have since been working on upper body exercises to strengthen my arms and shoulders one of which has a labrum tear from several years back. I am looking forward to the spring to get back on the golf course. Thank you again.

It's possible. The main muscles used for hip extension are your glutes and hamstrings. I hope they continue to help. 2 days ago I received a PRP or a platelet-rich plasma injection to one hip. Only afterwards was I informed I would require PT. Due to cancer, the covid risk, and my age I would prefer at home videos as light PT. My Dr would only tell me PT, but was only an option to consider. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Regardless, I am happy to be a new subscriber here.
This was great for hip soreness after exercise. My hips and knees are always my most painful bit of my body, be it after exercise or even just day to day tasks sometimes. After my long walk today, i felt very sore. These stretches helped so much to ease the pain. I'll have to come back and do it again before my next walk and after as well. Finding this video was quite timely! Due to a more sedentary lifestyle, coupled with poor posture and and exacerbating issue, my hips, glutes, and low back have been a weak spot for me, and more stiff/painful that necessary. Thanks, Dr. Jo!
Very good video Dr. Jo. I have mild cerebral palsy along w/scoliosis and my left hip & lower back has been given me grief for over 10 yrs. Some of the techniques displayed in the video I already learned about in physical therapy. I did pick up a few new ones as well. Thanks for the video.

DrJo, do I chose some or I can do all of them? Got arthritis on left hips and lots pain on my groin. I also use 2 exercises from the pain in groin. My doctor told me to use Ibuprofen for pain and exercise. I found your video excellent, I started 3 weeks ago, with 10 repetition, now doing 15. I am still limping and lots of pain but hoping to get better as I continue to exercise😢 Thank you and God bless you ❤ I am 67 years old, I will be 68 in November, they say it’s my age😢
You're welcome, and thanks. It really depends on how the body reacts, but in general, it's best to start with some and work up to all of them. I hope they help.
I am 57 years old and have been a runner (marathon) since the 80s. I have some left hip labrium tears (sever-per MRI), I have had dry needling, PRP, and i have been referred to ortho for a laproscopic repair with smoothing of the ball (arthritis). I was given similar exercises to this, but I enjoy being "coached" instead of reading a paper. My question is, will these exercises prepare me (strengthen) for the surgery to enhance my recovery and return to sport? I really would like to run again without the constant pain in the left hip and day-long aching. Thanks!

Whenever I’m not taking care of myself and I lose muscle , the pain acts up in the same spot . I do these exercises and it goes away .
@@DFtoke Yeah same here, if I'm just sitting around then I feel the pain whereas if I walk around or exercise, I don't feel as much pain.

This was great for hip soreness after exercise. My hips and knees are always my most painful bit of my body, be it after exercise or even just day to day tasks sometimes. After my long walk today, i felt very sore. These stretches helped so much to ease the pain. I'll have to come back and do it again before my next walk and after as well.

Finding this video was quite timely! Due to a more sedentary lifestyle, coupled with poor posture and and exacerbating issue, my hips, glutes, and low back have been a weak spot for me, and more stiff/painful that necessary. Thanks, Dr. Jo!

Very good video Dr. Jo. I have mild cerebral palsy along w/scoliosis and my left hip & lower back has been given me grief for over 10 yrs. Some of the techniques displayed in the video I already learned about in physical therapy. I did pick up a few new ones as well. Thanks for the video.

Thank you! I can physically do 8 of the exercises. I can’t do the squats or lift off the chair because of my ankle that has severe nerve pain that I will have the rest of my life. It’s difficult to find a video that doesn’t make you stand which I can’t do. I over,did myself yesterday and have hip pain today. Ok! Off to do your exercises!

Got arthritis on left hips and lots pain on my groin. I also use 2 exercises from the pain in groin.
My doctor told me to use Ibuprofen for pain and exercise. I found your video excellent, I started 3 weeks ago, with 10 repetition, now doing 15. I am still limping and lots of pain but hoping to get better as I continue to exercise😢

I am 57 years old and have been a runner (marathon) since the 80s. I have some left hip labrium tears (sever-per MRI), I have had dry needling, PRP, and i have been referred to ortho for a laproscopic repair with smoothing of the ball (arthritis). I was given similar exercises to this, but I enjoy being "coached" instead of reading a paper. My question is, will these exercises prepare me (strengthen) for the surgery to enhance my recovery and return to sport? I really would like to run again without the constant pain in the left hip and day-long aching. Thanks!
Yes, in general they should help. The stronger and more flexible you are before your surgery, the better your recovery. Good luck!
