This one of my favorite games of all time tbh. I remember playing this game against my friends at the boys and girls club when I was younger. This game is so nostalgic to me. I literally just bought a psp and the collection to play it again a few days ago lol
I Remember the first time I got this on my Japanese sega dreamcast and I couldn’t believe how sega Naomi arcade perfect it was ❤️💯 I was like HOLY CRAP IM PLAYING THE SEGA NAOMI ARCADE VERSION IN MY OWN HOME 😍
Power Stone is seriously one of the best fighting/arcade games ever. Still looks amazing, such a shame it hasn't been rereleased. If they pottered it to the switch w/online play id pay $80 for it immediately no questions asked.
@@SuperGainsBrosYT so you can agree with me that all sega Naomi titles that got a DC release were arcade perfect, cuz I get so many people that tell me that even through the DC had the exact same Board and chip sets as the sega Naomi that the DC Ports were still not 💯% arcade perfect
There is a game I got on switch recently called last fight and it has major power stone vibes although not quite as good but definitely worth a look to anybody craving this kind of beat em up
Overall solid video. I would disagree on the gameplay side of things. Ps2 problem is that they removed the universal gap closing tool being the divekick. Now the runaway game got better as you can get a life lead and not fight back. But from a design standpoint, it makes sense because the divekick tracking would be annoying. It really is personal preference at the end of the day. For the 1v1 enthusiast, ps1 is the better option. For more frantic gameplay with friends, ps2 is the game for you. If a PS3 would ever be a thing, mixing both games somehow could make for a great game. Maybe take a page from one piece grand adventure with how they handled dive based attacks and 4 player combat. But people may accuse the game for not having a focus in one direction. I personally rather see more 1v1 arena fighters that can capture some of the elements that made ps1 so good. Without copying the time period I wonder if a futuristic world or even a fantasy world like breath of fire could make for a good power stone style game. Last note. I do love the changes to transformations in ps2 over ps1. No more super armor is a big plus.
PS2 literally had nothing but shitty games up until Rockstar reinvented GTA with GTA 3 & then PS2 went crazy with amazing video games from every single company but I kinda wish PlayStation didn't win the war because now it's just annoying & the games are usually crap like they were back in 2000
Had this on a demo dreamcast disc of several games when the Dreamcast first came out it came with the system but this & Toy Commander were the only good games on the demo disc , im so happy it came with the system otherwise id never know either games existed ❤
I just realized that several video games copied Power Stone. Godzilla fighting games War of the Monsters Shrek SuperSlam Billy and Mandy the game Super Hero Squad the game
I accidentally unliked this after almost instantly clicking the like button because I'd watched this a long time ago. Massive love! The announcer is awful, but you're hella cool!
Powerstone 2 still holds up- what a perfect party game
This would be a perfect 4 player remake for the switch
So uh... about that
not a remake but wish granted
The power stone 2 cabinet was never vacant in our local arcade back in the day I can't wait to play it again on switch
Power Stone and Power Stone 2 are two of the best video games ever made. way better than marvel v. capcom 2 imo.
I love Powerstone but come on.
ITS BACK!!!!

I have been trying to find the name of this game fore the longest. This game was too much fun. They should pop out with a new one.
I can smell the 90's video game stores just by watching this video. ❤

Game was far ahead of its time when it came out, and it's gameplay aged beautifully.
Looks very similar to Ehrgeiz, I loved that game back on PS1
Yeah it's similar! Minus the FF characters obviously.
Loved these games me and siblings put hours into these two games classics
I remember seeing the arcade game at Cedar Point in summer 1999.
Yeah I never got to play the actual arcade version
Yeah they need to bring this game back

Loved this game happy I got the psp collection edition on my hacked ps vita 😊
Both powerstones and Dreamcast version of soulcaliber! Fantastic!
I had powerstone on the dreamcast but i dont think i ever got into the game, may be i should try it out with the new re-release from capcom.
Loved this game growing up!!!!!!
I lost my PSP Go with this game. T.T
I just realized that several video games copied Power Stone.
Godzilla fighting games
War of the Monsters
Shrek SuperSlam
Billy and Mandy the game
Super Hero Squad the game
One piece grand battle/adventures serie is also very similar to power stone.

This castle looks sus.
I just wish they expanded on the combos
Used to play this many years ago, this game is awesome
Yep, totally paid $200 for Powerstone 2 and didn’t burn it to a disk…
Bring it back

Calling Capcom "The King of Fighters" is super confusing, I thought you meant you wanted Kyo and Terry in Power Stone.
I love the build machine talk more about the build machine
Has anybody ever told you that you sound like Steve Blum?
They have not. But I'd take that as a compliment!
@@SuperGainsBrosYT You should. He's a fantastic voice actor.
What is this guy talking about the King of Fighters did make it to the Dreamcast as well as fatal Theory
Please Capcom bring it back..................
