    I would definitely make this, but with much less salt. We have to watch our sodium intake in this household. But with the tomatoes, onions, and parsley, and spices (not to mention the citrus!), it should be quite flavorful enough without salt. I'd serve with a nice loaf of crusty bread for sopping up the sauce!

    This is how I make it..but with fresh tomatoes and less salt.
    You can add a very curry leaves as well

    This is a traditional dish in the north Albania in Shkodra called carp casserole, which is known for this dish. it's made ONLY with CARP fish. This is not a Greek dish, anyway its really tasty but needs a lot more garlic and bay leaf, also.

    What kind of fish are you using ?

      I rather think any white fish would be fine.
      But if not to hand...I would try canned sardines in Brine...discarding the brine of course! (But if in tomato sauce....just use less canned tomatoes....Easy!)
      If using white fish.....why not some prawns in there......I think that would work brilliantly with this.

    When your done I don’t think you can tell what your eating with all that salt and oregano.
