Made this for dinner Saturday night. This was outstanding and here's why. My hubs is a baked stuffed cod/haddock adherent and won't stray no matter how hard I try. Showed him this recipe & he relented. There was absolutely nothing left over. Suzy this Fish Girl was thrilled with the results - and made your recipe for Lebanese Rice & a chopped Greek salad. The perfect Mediterranean meal. Thank you!
I made this last night and it was great! I did not have any cod so i used mahi mahi instead. I also added some quartered mushrooms that were about to go bad. It is in our rotation in our meal plan. Thank you for sharing such a wonderful recipe.
I have freezer full of frozen fish and have no idea how to get the best out of it all. Can’t wait to try this. My first attempt at cod was sooooo boring. So I will be making this ASAP. Jan ❤
This is a great recipe! Made it last night and I loved it (I’m not a fish person)! My husband LOVED it! I also made the Mediterranean Farro Salad. Delicious! Thanks for sharing your great recipes!! Love from Minnesota!
I learned the basics of cooking from my Italian grandmother. In all of that time when I was learning from her I never saw her use a measuring cup or spoon. She would always point to the center of her hand and say, this is my measuring cup. I continue that tradition.
The cod cooking in your recipe looks really good! Thank you for your beautiful video cooking! Enjoy your video and have greater hope for the next meal!
just got around to making this. it is very good. I did add my own little touch of course. lol Ty so much for sharing. I love trying dishes from the Mediterranean.
I made this for Thanksgiving as we are not a fan of typical TG meals kind of a family. For sides I made Austrian potato salad and warm spinach salad. The fish was a BIG hit. I overcooked it a teenie tiny bit, not enough to ruin it. Nobody noticed, in fact TG dinner was silent for the first 5 minutes because everyone was too busy eating. TG dinner lasted like 15 minutes, the food was inhaled. Next time, I will check the temp of the cod with a thermometer at the 5 minute mark once it is in the oven and baste it a little. Perfection, thank you!!!
Freaking nailed it 🥹, in RI so cod and seafood 3 min away lol. Did stripped bass monday as test, and was great, everything prepped for tonight, have to get ready, clams on raw bar, with Calabrian chili vinaigrette (don't know fancy name). Then roasted parsnips and asparagus, mint pea puree, have lemons to sear in pan🤷, and lava cakes ready to go for desert 🤫, going to propose 🙏, tyvm tc
looking forward to doing this recipe. it looks like it will really work and no complex ingredients!! p.s. can you recommend a cast iron pan [manufacturer/company] that truly keeps its seasoning. your pan looks wonderful.
Thank YOU so much for this Lemon and Garlic baked Cod recipe.... I love Cod... but have always been scared to cook it... Thank you for sharing this great video
2 questions.... 1. Beginning of Video says heat oven to 400. Later when oven is ready, it says 350. Which is it? 2. Also, video shows garlic added to sauce first, before dredging, but recipe says add it after fish has been dredged. Which is it? Thank you
I love fish, but I'm deathly allergic to onion, garlic & cayenne & anything more spicy! I'm use to it, & do NOT use, but I've learned to use celery & carrot & some other things! This looks awesome & I'm thawing it now & will fix it, I just love fish!
Adding a breadcrumb to see if It bubbles is a far safer way to check oil temperature. Sprinkling water is the LAST thing you should do - the spitting and often eruption of hot oil can burn badly as well as make a mess. This is a poor piece of advice to tell viewers.

Looks fab. I use buckwheat flour instead of ordinary wheat, as is nutty, and gluten free! Fresh cod is the best.❤
Thank YOU so much for this Lemon and Garlic baked Cod recipe....
I love Cod... but have always been scared to cook it...
Thank you for sharing this great video
Go to dekalb market,,,,coming from Italy visiting family in Atlanta, I found the market with a very nice selection of fish….
One could add a few capers or possibly a tablespoon of dry sherry. Try it.
I made this fish and my son who does not eat fish love it!
Bravo 🙌🇬🇧❤️
Super ❤
Yum. Subscribed!
A trick I learned from a chef to see if your oil is hot is to put a wooden chopstick in it. If bubbles form around it, the oil is hot and ready to go.
Lol who has a wooden stick around?
Read correctly. It says chopstick. People who eat various Asian cuisine would have those handy. @@Annabelle-n3e
I said chopstick. People who eat various Asian cuisine would have that.@@Annabelle-n3e
Easier to do what she and every other cook recommends - sprinkle a few drops of water
or a small square of bread?
I love the blue vase/pitcher with the lemons!!!!! Could you tell us where you bought it? Thanks!
My sister-in-law made this and my brother raved about it. So now I’m making it tomorrow.
Looks good! I often use celery seed with fish sauces.
Really good!!. I usually cannot cook Cod without it tasting bland
Looks amazing! I'm going to try this next time I buy Cod. I'm getting tired of making Sayadiyyeh every time.
Looks delicious. Could I by any chance make it without butter or it won't work? Thanks!
I decided to try this recipe...just for the halibut !
Lemon butter sauce, one of my most favorite sauces and I never had fish with it. Got to make this!
Cant wait to make this soon for me can i use tofu i never had 20 minute baked cod before perfect for my after office meals
Tofu too bland
@@florenceobrien2822 am a vegetarian so i need to use tofu
Awwwww yuuummmmmm!!!!
What do you serve it with?
What temp for the oven?
Hot pepper and garlic is a must for me
I have never seen any kitchen so immaculately clean while preparing a meal - her hands were never soiled at any time - unreal.
aunt's kitchen was the same ... Lebanese nurse
I don't have an oven but I have an air fryer. How do I adjust the instructions?
What about making a spinach pie ?
Don't own cast iron cookware. Is stainless steel okay to use?
Can you use almond flour or coconut flour?
2 questions....

Cook 10 minutes at what oven temperature?
Said 350 at about the 3 min mark
can we use tuna steak?
What do you put with this code. Your side dish
What do you put with this codd

👍👍
Do you always cook with a camera in the oven?
what degree to set the oven for the fish ????? 350? 400?
350
👍❤️
Looks good, but why put it in the oven? 2.5 minutes per side and your done and eating.
Best way to finish it and not overcook it
Where is link to the recipe ?
what is the skillet that you use?
just a good ole Cast Iron skillet ..
and Please when you wash it... Do NOT put SOAP in a Cast Iron Skillet ... EVER.

Absolutely right - well said .
I have donethis for years andnever had a problem. A thermometer would be the safest.
Just use a wooden spoon and watch the bubbles forming on the sides. Even easier
Is that a sweet Spanish paprika, a smoked Spanish paprika, or a spicy Spanish paprika?
You heat the pan first then put the oil in.
Why does it say baked though?
Cod does not need to cook long, for sure.
