  • Adding side cases to your motorcycle is one of the handiest upgrades a person can make. Givi offers the Outback aluminum panniers for the most aggressive adventure touring and dual sport riders. Find a set to fit your specific machine here: www.motorcycle-superstore.com/.... With two finishes available - brushed aluminum or matte black - this luggage upgrades the style of your bike as much as it does the functionality. Givi offers two sizes, 37/48-liter capacity to suit your particular gear-hauling needs. The Outback uses the Givi Monokey system for simple use - one key to both open the bag, and detach it from the bike. Special mounting hardware is purchased separately and is built with oversized tubing for the strength needed for off-road use. A nifty latch mechanism uses a visual green/red cue to let the rider know when the cases are properly installed. Polymer and aluminum reinforcements are located in strategic high-stress areas. Weatherproof foam is located around the edge of the top-loading lid for water and dust resistance. If your storage needs ever exceed the standard capacity, the lid is entirely removable so you can carry even the largest items.

GREAT VIDEO - I understand it's dated ... but it's still a relevant video for consumers buying side cases. Pricing has dropped on the cases to $725 delivered with price matching by suppliers. To the commenter 5starDave suggesting you "switch to decaf" ... I disagree. I really value a fast moving review and perhaps 5starDave should take up remedial english classes somewhere. This is a VERY GOOD overview of the GIVI Trekker Outback. BTW - this case is an exceptional case in my "informed" opinion. I owned this case on my 2016 BMW S1000XR for 5 years, and 44,000 miles. My riding was mixed between British Columbia, Pacific NW, and Baja at speeds consistently 70-90MPH in Baja (22k miles in Baja) ... these cases performed FLAWLESSLY. I dropped the bike in a parking lot with a passenger once, with ZERO cosmetic marks on the cases. The nylon corner bumpers worked perfectly to protect the case. The only issue i had with the Trekker is some minor wear or loose play in the Cam bracket (left side) at the 37,000 mile mark. By strapping my center seat duffel between the two cases - i alleviated the problem. I personally like these cases so much, I purchased a new set to be mounted on my new 2016 S100XR (another 2016 unit with 4,500 miles) ... and I purchased a set for my new 2022 R1250 GS Adventure. Have gone down the route of the lovely Mosko Moto bags, and the Lone Rider bags ... I don't ride off road and frankly find the hard GIVI cases a better alternative to the "trendy" $1,000 soft bags (whaaat?) ... but again, I don't ride off-road except fire roads in New Mexico, Oregon or BC. Have owned the factory BMW rigid panniers also, and believe GIVI quality is "double" the BMW brand pannier on my 2018 GS Adventure ... can't speak to the 2019 - forward rigid panniers for BMW. So - 5stardave, your "insult" to the reviewer is what motivated me to defend him and the GIVI product. So, if you or Church - n - Chapel are trolls, I guess you succeeded. This is a GREAT PRODUCT and a VERY GOOD review. Note - I suggest the consumer purchase the storage Net which fits under the Lid of each case ... I suggest the consumer purchase the $14 rubber GIVI straps to mount on Top of each case to prevent sliding of items you place there under any netting (in Mexico I strap Fuel Bladders) ... NOTE: one of the best parts of the rigid cases is the ability to install VERY BRIGHT running lights (LED RED) which transition to EXTREMELY BRIGHT RED BRAKE lights ... something you cannot do on a soft bag. Safety is enhanced significantly with these additional running and brake lights. Plus on the S1000XR 162 HP rocketShip the GIVI Trekker cases make me appear as though I'm just another old guy on a BMW adventure bike (and "that's a good thing," as Martha Stewart would say)... DOWNSIDE? In the sand, I 'did" get my left ankle caught under the rigid bag (just like the soft bag guys warn, and I acknowledge) ... but one would have to ask, why was I moving the bike in the driveway deep sand in Baja? How many Margaritas were involved in this 1.5 MPH crash ... and of course, was it really my fault? Great Product, not perfect but close. Terrific Review.

Probably the most versatile boxes out right. Looking to get this setup on my 2013 Triumph Tiger Explorer XC in black

Milan Rudanovic did you get the panniers for your explorer? If so, how do you like them? Thanks

john addy Hi John. I got these for my Tiger 800 and they are worth every penny. Rigid and really sturdy, and really easy to get on and off the bike, but if you want to go 100% waterproof you shold get the inner bags as well. A great investment!

Ive had mine on a 650 VStrom for two years. Very happy except that recently one side clicks in but indicators stay red and there is noticeable up and down play, although it shows no sign of wanting to fall off. I can find no adjustment to fix this and there is nothing in the manuals.
But a very versitile system that takes amazing amounts of cargo and seems very robust.
