Love that Watkins Grey C7 Z06! In a couple of years I’m gonna look for one in that color.....but I’m gonna get a manual this time around! Had a C6 Z51 with an automatic and the paddle shifters......had to sell it when my daughter went off to college.

I got the yellow low profile Harbor Freight RV level ramps with chucks for my Porsche for under $30 and works great . Oil change in less than 10 minutes.

Haha I used my garage cameras when I used ramps. Connected my phone to the camera for live view and just slapped the phone on a car mount on my dash
In have the 1 piece RR and I love 'em. Does not slide like the cheap plastic or metal ramps
Elliott, do you still have your beast? Do you plan on upgrading to the revolutionary C8? My only issue with my 2017 has been replacing the rear carbon ceramic brakes, thankfully under warranty!

I have the Scosche magnetic mount. It is $12 on Amazon. It is double stick tape to the dash or they have cup holders. The peel and stick area is very small but strong. It works well. I have it in all my cars. Thanks for checking it out.

You may be new to corvette scene? I have a 2003 Z06, the normal temperature ranges for my LS6 on mine is between 190f to 220f. Fan never kicks in above 213f (little over 100 celesius). It s normal. I ve seen track days where people in c5 z to c7 z run over 250f and still kicks ass. It s normal for your temps to be 220 to 230 on a hot day. Don’t worry about a thing. I ran mine hard at track for years on high temps and she’s still runs like it was day one out from the factory. You can always go with mobile European formula 0w-40 if temps bothers you or get a lower thermostat. Enjoy she s beauty! Nothing sounds more pleasing than a NA pushrod engine sound! I have ebc yellow stuffbrake pads and brake dust is almost non existent. Only thing that bother me about my z06 is that infamous LS lifter tick but I got use to it.

2 questions for your race ramps do you Jack up the rear to be level for oil change or that angle is good enough? Next can those rams work with heavier diesel pickup trucks?
Great questions- I did not jack up the back for my oil changes nor do I jack up any of my other cars that are at a higher angle. By the time you start your car an decend it is only a couple seconds .
The second question is it will hold 1500lbs per wheel so it is borderline on a 1/2 ton truck...

Well, like you I didn’t want to spend extra money on quick jack so I got the low profile race ramps 10 inch lift and with my low profile Daytona floor Jack I can lift rear or front but 2 Jack stands for leveling either my C5 and my sons 911 this Friday will be doing oil change on his Porsche I am 67 years old and think it is a smart decision

what Material Made From ? Hard Foam ?
Yes, a very hard foam that they use on highways. Typically in cold climate roads, under the asphalt. It holds the car , no problem...
Very nice Z. Yeah those little things can be a real disappointment. Something so little which makes such an expensive American icon seem like some things were overlooked. I just picked up a 2012 Grand Sport and the cup holders are so small it is silly. There is plenty of room in the console to hold bigger cups. Looks like they tried a bit, but still failed, that could have been executed so much better.

stink the whole 90 miles gone didn’t see one vette to wave. Still haven’t over a week. We Go out yesterday in wife’s traverse and I saw 5!!
@@spsanders69 yep, it is hit and miss. Go to a cars and coffee event. There will be many Corvettes of all years.

So funny, still haven't seen another Vette while driving. Though it has been super cold here lately. The car is my DD so Rain or Shine. Snow, I stay home or take the wife's SUV.
I thought about getting a C6 Z06 myself, but hate that you can't take the top off and all the horror stories I heard with the heads I didn't want to deal with that hassle.
@@spsanders69 yes, probably too cold. I almost got a C6 Z06 but now happy I waited until I could afford the C7 Z06. It has very few short comings (i.e. overheating on the track). Just a fantastic car. BTW where are you located?
I"m curious to why you bought your race ramps from amazon instead of mid america motor-works they specialize in Corvettes?
Honestly I didn't know about mid-, America motor works. I'll have to look them up. I usually order from Amazon if the price is right and get very fast shipping. Thanks for the tip, I'll check them out.

Do you know if anyone has tried this product on a Racedeck or Swisstrax style garage floor. I am wondering if the ramps would slip on a plastic surface. Clearly they are fine on concrete.
Sorry, I don't know that, it dies work will on concrete so I'm sure it is fine.
I always worried about these ramps sliding forward as you bring the car upon the ramps.Seems like they dont move which is great.
No ramp will slide on that concrete....try it on a slick garage floor for effect.
Do you change your own oil or plan to?
Yes, going to do my first oil change and will do a video on it. Dealership wants $140 and I can do Mobil 1 and GM filter for $50 myself.
@@elliotsgarage7777 Definitely worth looking into, especially as you have the ramps. I do wonder how the dry- sump system may interfere with the do yourself oil changing...I look forward to seeing what you find out!

Elliot 2017 Z06 : I'm not sure what size cups/drinks you're using but I decided to try this for a simple cup holder fix for my '18 Z06: www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004WMDVDU/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o09_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 .
Even though it says it doesn't fit in a Z06 it does. It actually holds a 16 oz. Monster Energy can in place without it tipping/wobbling around, even around 90 degree turns. So far I'm happy with it. I only bought one to test it out so I need to order a 2nd one for the other opening. It's a cheap fix that might work for your situation too. You can probably pick them up at AutoZone, O'Reilly, Advance etc....too.

Elliot 2017 Z06 : If you end up trying it let me know if it ends up working for you. I like simple solutions. People on the Corvette Forum have tried all kinds of various options that are more elaborate. But so far just sticking this rubber insert into the cup holder seems to be working for me. I agree with you that the seat belt holders are junk too. I need to modify mine because the belt slipping out of it bugs me every time I get in.
BTW, my car is also a 2LZ, WGG w/ black interior. Just a few differences from yours - carbon fiber dash trim, black wheels, manual, Z07 pkg. (so luckily I don't have the brake dust issue with the CCBs). The only thing I wish it had that it doesn't are the comp. seats. Though so far I haven't felt the need to buy the kit to turn them into comp. seats.
Elliot 2017 Z06: I almost forgot to mention that I like your '67 Stang. I had a blue '69 coupe with a 302 & a C4 automatic that I bought from the original owner 1 week after my 16th birthday when we lived in Santa Maria, CA. I kept it until I was 21 & sold it, back in the spring of '90. I often times wish I would have hung onto it.
What I learnt from this video is American's dont have CM or MM on their tape measures😆

Why dont you flip the seatbelt holders, so the open slit is up top? i am not a GM fan, but the Z06 is the last of the dinosaurs,,,, and isnt It nice to know that Dinosaurs ruled the world when they were alive. ps: SPEEDWAX ptfe powder will keep wheels clean.
