You can listen to this song 100 times in a day, and not be tired of it! Yet still able to come back day after day and get the same enjoyment out of it!! Happy Thanksgiving today!!
That album is an absolute classic. Unbelievable. But please please please let the official video for 'World Where You live' be available in the U.S. because it would be a trip down memory lane (1986) for this old timer who was 16 at the time.
My all time favourite ❤ band. The debut albumis timeless. Gee they had fun together. RIP 🙏 Paul Hester. Neil and Paul were so close, like brothers and could finish each other's sentences. Brings back good memories of being a teen in Australia 🇦🇺 💖 in the 80s.
Literally every Crowded House song has a story behind its significance for me - I discovered this album in 1995 and put this song on a mix tape for my first serious girlfriend. As this was the first song on the second side it sticks out from the rest as part of the compilation. I love it
One of my very fave Crowded House songs and the video showcases the band's heart and humour beautifully. Missing Hessie today & remembering him every day with Love xoxoxoxo
01:15 is like when you try to get through to some people. 01:26 lol that was adorable. Recently had the chance to hear Neil play live with his son Liam and decided to listen to some CH to refresh my memory.. and after having done so, realised that i had forgotten so many of Neil’s brilliant songs with Crowded House that I grew up with in the 80’s> and since being a young kid in the 70’s with his band Split Enz with bro Tim Finn. I forgot how brilliant they were and especially Neil’s lyrics, absolute genius and poet. I’ll be listening more frequently from now on so I don’t forget them again!
What a beautiful man Paul was. I am privileged to have seen him at so many concerts and even passed him once at someone else's! What a terrific group they made. Love watching them have fun.
Fantastic song and the video is low budget and fun. Such a great album too. Please release the video for World Where You Live here in the States. I want my long lost 16 year old self to return for a few minutes.
It never used to be that bad But neither was it great Somewhere in the middle then Content and much too safe Oh tell me please Why it takes so long To realise when there's something wrong Lay me out with your heart Now we're getting somewhere Push me back to the start Now we're getting somewhere Take me out let me breathe Now we're getting somewhere When I'm with you I don't care Where it is I'm falling There's money in the Bible Belt Hugs for daddy too Three wishes for eternity We've got some work to do Oh tell me please, tell me what went wrong Cos I believe there is something wrong When you took me to your room I swear I said surrender When you opened up your mouth I saw the words fall out Though nothing much has changed I swear I will surrender There is pain in me heart We can choose what we choose to believe
Nearly twenty five years ago, Neil and Tim were checking into there hotel room in South Yarra Melbourne, and no word of a lie, Boris Becker who'd lost his match was yelling from the guest elevator "I need a f*@$?=#g lift key" Well I was happy learning the front desk with Alison 😊😂 + crowded house witnessed every word When you work with people who are successful in life, you witness some who stay real, genuine and respectful and then over there at the lift was the extreme contrast 😁
Can anyone answer who the lovely woman is at 3:30 - 3:32 ? This has always been one of my favorite songs. It was a great song and great pacing for running with ipod a few decades ago.
Ha, well pretty much every iconic male Australian band and singer of that era is Scottish- AC/DC Bon Scott-Malcolm and Angus Young- Jimmy Barnes/Cold Chisel etc. You can’t get more iconic than Barnsey/Chisel and AC/DC. So we are one and the same really. And those are the sort of bands that Aussie males of that era proudly admit to listening to, unlike Crowded House in which we like yourself keep in the closet.
god i love this song, and this video is hilarious! LOVE when Neil gets the snowball to the face!! hahaha great band, and great guys (met all but Paul, and they are such wonderful fellows!) thanks for sharing this!! :-)
of course what you hear in the bass and drums is not crowded house but jim keltner and an elvis sideman bass player .. probably why it sounds so much swing and groove
Mr Neil Finn, you explain to God why you didn't pay the writers of the four albums given to you because it has been many years since you received them, and now you haven't got the money to pay so as I said Mr Neil Finn you explain it to God and see what he says when he is judging you.

i just love oz music...
Agree❤
This album will always have a special place in my heart. How I miss the old days so much. God bless Neil Finn and Crowded House.
One of my favorite Crowded House songs. Neil Finn is a very underrated songwriter.
Hell yeah! This song is a banger! And the vocals are just astounding! Not only a great song, but a great performance as well...
I think he's the best songwriter that ever lived
@@teddougal5919 I don’t know about that but he’s certainly up there.
He's not serrated in Australia. He banged out hit after hit for 20 years, in his hey day.
not to mention the greatness of the lord of the rings soundtrack...truly epic.
One of the best albums of the 80s.
One of the best albums of all time.
Bloody oath yes 👍🍺🍺
1st song for 2022 happy new to everyone in nz ❤
absolutely

Probably the most sincere band on the planet, the music seems to be timeless!
I saw them in 1987 here in Michigan and was hooked immediately. They put on a great show and the dynamics of each band members playing was fantastic
These guys always sang with
a smile.
Brilliant Song by a Brilliant Group.
My all time favourite ❤ band. The debut albumis timeless. Gee they had fun together. RIP 🙏 Paul Hester. Neil and Paul were so close, like brothers and could finish each other's sentences.

this song is my fave of all Crowded House songs. love the band. thanks for the upload
Same here, always lifts my spirits
Agreed

Love, love, love, I miss being able to dance with my friends and laughing like crazy with not a care in the world, those days are long gone .
Move to NZ
I appreciate your love 😎
One of my very fave Crowded House songs and the video showcases the band's heart and humour beautifully. Missing Hessie today & remembering him every day with Love xoxoxoxo
It was a lot of fun making this video! So sorry that Paul's gone - what an incredible guy he was!
Wait? Are you one of the guys that play crowded house? 😮
I bought this album when I was 15...27 years later I can still sing every word to this song...that says something...adore them.
What a great voice, and performer, God bless you paul Hester. Really loved you, and always will....
Hessie, Seymour and Neil playing up on a slope. Poetry
Absolutely love these lads. Great stuff. Good times. Cheers from NJ!
01:15 is like when you try to get through to some people.
01:26 lol that was adorable.

Some of the best opening lyrics you'll find anywhere.
What a beautiful man Paul was. I am privileged to have seen him at so many concerts and even passed him once at someone else's! What a terrific group they made. Love watching them have fun.
This song got stuck in my head last few days. Came to visit.
Love this was filmed at Mt Buller & Kooroora 1986 ... although happy to offer Neill some free ski lessons
저는 Don't Dream It's Over 보다 이 곡이 더 좋습니다. 어린시절 형이 사온 테이프에 들어 있었던 곡이었지요.... 지금도 이 곡을 들으면 먼저간 형과 그 시절이 생각 나네요.
Really, it's like their best forgotten single. They don't even play it live anymore! Such a shame.
The best band !!
omg this is adorable.
Arizona Rogerson They are!!
Just so much fun, miss those times so much, love CH so much, unbeatable group
CH were among the bands that put out some of the best videos in the 80s/early 90s. awesome songs + great videos + topnotch band = CROWDED HOUSE
perfect Crowded House melody
Fantastic song and the video is low budget and fun. Such a great album too. Please release the video for World Where You Live here in the States. I want my long lost 16 year old self to return for a few minutes.
It never used to be that bad
But neither was it great
Somewhere in the middle then
Content and much too safe
Oh tell me please
Why it takes so long
To realise when there's something wrong
Lay me out with your heart
Now we're getting somewhere
Push me back to the start
Now we're getting somewhere
Take me out let me breathe
Now we're getting somewhere
When I'm with you I don't care
Where it is I'm falling
There's money in the Bible Belt
Hugs for daddy too
Three wishes for eternity
We've got some work to do
Oh tell me please, tell me what went wrong
Cos I believe there is something wrong
When you took me to your room
I swear I said surrender
When you opened up your mouth
I saw the words fall out
Though nothing much has changed
I swear I will surrender
There is pain in me heart
We can choose what we choose to believe
Odd pairing of the tune with these lyrics. The first sounds so upbeat, and this video corresponds to that, but the lyrics are quite serious.
The video clip was a lot better than listening on the radio
The best of all the great songs of crowded house. Thanks for what your talent created.
how can anyone dislike this master piece
programmed. delusional.
The quality of the sound and video is not great...could be much better. What do you expect from Vevo
FloopyDiskGames quite easily
My only complaint is it should have that whistle at the opening
Nearly twenty five years ago, Neil and Tim were checking into there hotel room in South Yarra Melbourne, and no word of a lie, Boris Becker who'd lost his match was yelling from the guest elevator "I need a f*@$?=#g lift key"

real music still lives
Rest In Peace Paul Hester 😞
It hurts somehow 🤦
He was such a funny man. I remember listening to him on the old Martin Molloy radio show. He has them both in stiches.
So good to hear it live in western Australia concert
Love the swing feel to this. Can't believe I've just cone across this video after living the song for do long. Great to see them having so much fun!
Neil Finn - Born/ raised and Rocked in NZ. If you are looking for roots try Split Enz they got some fine classics too.
I always loved this song...it gave a finer meaning to this great band
Underrated!! AMAZING SONG!! Paul in this video lol
Never saw this video before. Great album.
Oh god I totally forgot about this song I used to love it.
There are way too many good Neil Finn songs.
I haven't seen this since the WInter of 1986! Oh youth, where did you go?
take it out, let it breathe!
I use to sing this when I was 10 years old wearing those sun glasses trying to this in July 1986
Can anyone answer who the lovely woman is at 3:30 - 3:32 ? This has always been one of my favorite songs. It was a great song and great pacing for running with ipod a few decades ago.
1:52 fantastic
Still play this cd to the day .crowded house are my dirty little secret Sshh 😜
Every Australian male born pre 1980 secretly likes Crowded House whether they will admit it or not.
@@Paidinfullcc1gt Scotland 😁

And we returned the favour for all our ultra iconic male Australian bands being Scottish with Mel Gibson as William Wallace in Braveheart.
Happy 60th birthday Neil Finn!!!
This video is brilliant!
They are really having fun there top song and amazing singer.
I could like this song and video bazillion times. 💜💓💜💓
god i love this song, and this video is hilarious! LOVE when Neil gets the snowball to the face!! hahaha great band, and great guys (met all but Paul, and they are such wonderful fellows!) thanks for sharing this!! :-)
WAYYY too much fun!! 😁🥰
It's weirdly refreshing to know that they ski about as well as I would were I to try such a thing :p.
Funny video. Great song, too.
it was my fave song from the record, though I must confess the only Crowded House single I own is INTO TEMPTATION.
I miss them they should come to NYC Shaun
Great song!!!!
This is better for the studio version-as great as that is
My unrequited love affair with Neil Finn started over 40 years ago and continues to this day. The music of my younger years.
Underrated song👍👏
Now We're Getting Somewhere....at 3minutes and 1 seconds...oh yeah yeah yeah... they arrived!
he is!!!
Great band
First! hehe
Great song, every time I hear this I wish I had an accordion
Why wasn't this on reccuring dream?
of course what you hear in the bass and drums is not crowded house but jim keltner and an elvis sideman bass player .. probably why it sounds so much swing and groove

Why I love TH-cam
R.I.P Paul. :-(
Background intruments should have been abit heavier
l o could you express yourself in french sometimes if it's possible
Jim keltner on drums
And perhaps I should not use a hash tag in my expletives
now it 17,035 PLUS MINE
Paul didn't play the drums on this.
which brought out the best of him on "Don't Dream it's Over" according to Seymour.
Correct - it was the great, great Jim Keltner.
