Right on. According to the Credit Suisse Global Wealth Report, the world's richest 1 percent, those with more than $1 million, own 44 percent of the world's wealth. Their data also shows that adults with less than $10,000 in wealth make up 56.6 percent of the world's population but hold less than 2 percent of global wealth.

Love this, I spent over 5 years in a poor part of the Philippines as my wife comes from there she is a nurse and working here in the England and our 2nd born is a nurse working in London. So i have seen what you are talking about and it is heartbreaking and I have done what I can over the last 25 year to help the extended family. Through education and some are running micro-businesses or have trained up to be nurses and now work in Canada, New Zealand, UK and the middle east.
so many are still in poverty to this day.
I lived a substance living for 5 years so I very much know this topic.
What is being done with these phones is fantastic.
Lack of empowerment and deep levels of corruption is the real killer.

The lesson here is, every country should be self sufficient and self reliant to the best of their capabilities without outside help.

@VorpalSaber That makes a whole lot of sense to me. I agree with you. It goes for all of us really. We all need to be as self sufficient as humanly possible and help out others if we can. A First Class conversation, which is very eye-opening. Thank-you, John, David and all of his teams. Man's inhumanity to man knows no bounds, but at least some people are trying valiantly to help those in greatest need, and are helping people to help themselves.
From our viewpoint, the high price of coffee (and of many other products) is an inconvenience, but when the situation is studied closely, we see that farmers in less affluent countries are being plunged ever deeper into poverty, while the marketeers are robbing money rapaciously from both farmers and customers.
We're often too affluent to really notice how we are being exploited, and can generally withstand the levels of corruption, but the farmers and their children are dying because of it.

Empowerment of producers is the best way of relieving poverty in developing countries. Some years ago, I worked for a charitable organisation that gave mobile phones with solar battery chargers to the fishermen up and down the coast of Karela in southern India. They used the phones to communicate to each other the best prices that middle men/merchants were paying for particular fish so that they then knew where to land their catch. Their incomes improved.

The last thing the world needs is to have the U.N. control the food supply. The original mission of the U.N. as stated in their charter was to "end all wars". Since the inception of the U.N. we have had more wars, conflicts and poverty than ever. In the U.S., in the recent past, 20% of the population grew their own food. Now only about 3% of households grow their own food. The rest is grown by international agricultural combines and the average citizen is helpless in the face of food shortages. If we learn anything from this pandemic it should be that we need to end these globalist schemes and localize food production.

My hospital appointments were also moved to tele and I can assure you if my consultant felt he needed to see me in person it would have happened. If people are waiting for treatment it's because their clinicians have made a cost benefit analysis and decided it would be best for the patient not to have it at this time. I've even been contacted by my library to see if I'm ok.I kid you not lol. So stop with the nonsense.

The county in michigan of old go blue is my home town. Joining the labor market in 1972 as a cook. At the time the only brown rice was sold in bulk by the 4th ave. Co-op. This was a group in a tri state federation. Geez what a conflict, the frat house did not want an account in the co op. No way. Out of pocket money for rice. Wash yer hands !

Far, far, far more people will die from the management of CV19 than CV19, which, if you look at stats in a bad flu year, is nothing that special. This is a contrived crisis to herald in the 17 goals of sustainable development, which this guy is selling.

I have tried to help here and there but the problems for the poorer people are so immense and affect so many it all seems such a drop in the ocean. There are some wonderful seeds here and it’s great that you have found the means to empower them. Many have talked about empowerment but you are actually doing it.

Considering how well they do everything to do with beating this virus is this a worry for us in Uk?

Many U.S. farmers are at the bottom and they get "squeezed" too.

    • @gurnstein
      @gurnstein 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

US farmers as well as most farmers need to understand that the United Nations is their nemesis. Sustainable development intends to be the ruination of farmers in pursuit of it's 17 goals. They want to price meat beyond the budget of ordinary folk and have us all eating insect protein. Don't believe me, look up United Nations farm to fork. And it's all for our own good, of course. Sustainable development is technocratic rule by the back door.

    • @korban007

The squeezes go to the thing you can’t replace, the soil. It will become an issue at some point with chemicals used and no crop rotations. That will prevent us from growing crops altogether in the masses.

The reality is I would venture to say a good 80+ % ( I’m being very generous) of this world is part of this parasitic class. Most don’t have a clue where or how their food comes to them. They don’t have the skills to maintain everyday life. Most are totally dependent on the system. No ability fend for themselves. And that’s exactly what these governments want. Bunch of lap dogs, easily controlled with food, water and, quite frankly, air. It’s pathetic.
